Sidney The Rabbit Tales: The Christmas Harp and Mystery of the Magi
By Julie Larsen
()
About this ebook
This is a fantasy tale about a rabbit named Sidney who lives in a forest. Her first "tale" is that she wants a harp very badly for Christmas present. Her second tale is how she meets the 3 Magi and her adventure of going back in time with them to witness Jesus' birth. Christian references to Mass included in book. Sidney's tales could be a chapter book reading for young readers. These are two short stories together.

Hi, I have been passionate about the birth world since 2010 and even a bit earlier than that. My daughter was born at home and I had thought about doula work way back. After my son's birth, I decided it was time to become an actual doula. After finishing training, I set up my business and I have been a doula ever since then. I am excited about being able to put into print information to help other doulas or pregnant mothers!

Introductory Story, Who’s Sidney the Rabbit?
This section is meant for readers to get to know the back story
so to speak about Sidney the Rabbit. I used to have an Attic Treasure stuffed animal named Sidney. I always thought she would make a good character in a children’s book. I wanted to portray her as a live type of person
but in rabbit form so to speak. So, our animals in this story can talk and be like real people. But in real life we know real animals do not talk. The idea is that Sidney as a Rabbit might appeal to children more. So, we will be on adventures with this silly Rabbit named Sidney who lives in a forest near a Sassafras tree! I hope you and your children will enjoy reading these two Christmas stories. I hope to make more books in the future about Sidney’s adventures!
Sidney and the Christmas Harp
By Julie Larsen
Once upon a time, there lived a rabbit Sidney inside a small forest down a twisty path. Her house was near a Sassafras tree. She lived with Mamma Rabbit, Pappa Rabbit, and her twin sister Sara. It was close to Christmas time. Mama Rabbit was decorating the home for Christmas as it was Mama’s Birthday December 1st. Mama said, Sidney, please hand me that wreath.
[i]
Yes, Mama,
said Sidney.
It smells like Christmas,
said Sara who was hanging up popcorn balls on the Christmas tree.[ii]
Sidney said, Guess what my favorite part of Christmas is?
Eggnog,
said Papa who was helping decorate as well and he was getting hungry and thirsty.
