Legal Luminaries' Legacy
In his formative years, Harish Salve found himself enthralled by Bollywood icon Dilip Kumar, a fascination that coincided with his burgeoning interest in law and taxation. Salve's introduction to the legal world came through a case involving Dilip Kumar, where he watched his father, N.K.P. Salve, who would later become a Union minister and BCCI president, spearhead the legal defense. The case, titled Income Tax Officer v. He simultaneously studied law and chartered accountancy, drawing from the professional ethos of his father, a respected chartered accountant, and his mother, a physician. Life in Nagpur was uncomplicated, with social activities often involving trips to forests or local dhabas. Though Salve later relocated to Delhi, leaving behind
