Francis’s Informative Lyrics and Poems
()
About this ebook
Crafted from my reflections on the world and events around me, including topical issues from the news, each piece resonates with a unique perspective. Some entries are written as lyrics, complete with choruses that reinforce their messages. While readers are encouraged to create their own melodies as they read, it’s worth noting that these lyrics already have tunes, which are copyrighted, adding an extra layer of creativity to the experience.
Reading this book is an invitation to enjoy the rhythm and flow of the words, enhancing your experience as a reader. I share this collection with the hope that you find as much joy and inspiration in reading these pieces as I have found in writing them.

President
In the days Trump had black hair
And of war and politics he was unawares
He was caught on a boxing channel
Most likely with one of his aides
He I surmise used jet black pomade
Because his locks were of a lighter shade
His flaxen blond hair was that of a president
His time is now more fruitfully spent
Commentating on US boxing events.
Leaving Joe Biden, holding the reins of power
It’s the Republicans now, come the day come the hour
Law enforcement at breaking point can only glower
Black communities want equal rights
The authorities wont heed their plight
Opportunities for those who are bright.
In university placements or military might
White House, home of the afore mentioned
Where debates and discussion’s gain media, press attention Only the elite can talk war and criminal scam
God bless America and its integrated clan
Date of Birth
I try to confirm date of birth
But am scorned by zealots with bouts of mirth
I was told I was born, so weak and small
Weighing only a couple of pounds, that’s all
Put in bed with a woman trying to conceive
But she died in labour unable to breathe
I surmise that I shrank from adult stature
When shaken in the mouth of a shire horse becoming fractious
Another instance it did happen prior swimming the Atlantic Breakers shrank when exertion made me tire
I shrivelled into infancy need baby swaddling attire
Just a boy mother unknown
For my misdemeanours, I will have to atone
My conclusion I can only hazard a guess
I leapt from the Hindenburg airship
When known as Count von Zeppelin
If can be confirmed by the press
Self-Taught Wood Worker
I read an amateur wood worker magazine
When I was inebriated, completely green
Carved, whittled, planed and honed
Took on the mantle of a joiner of old
Then low and behold, a tradesman to behove
Smoothing planes, spoke, shave, the tools of the trade
I will show you how a wooden trestle is made
Wooden artefacts now being constructed
By a hopeful self-taught chippy, from a piece of lumber,
The finished article left a pile of wood shavings
The fruits of his labour didn’t make the grade
His endeavours put himself to shame
After all his attempts not to be found
But a heap of sawdust upon the ground!
Control the Atmosphere
Will the fumes of greenhouse gasses
Affect the populace and diminish the masses
Ice floe’s melt and come adrift
Icebergs move and slowly shift
It affects polar bears in the breeding season
Not enough food to feed its cubs
Diversity of climate effects plants and shrubs
No coal fires to make a smog
Asthmatics used to dread the November fog
In summers past, you could foretell it to be fine
Holiday makers didn’t have to seek a
