In heartfelt dedication, I offer my first novel to the memory of my dearest Papa, Shri Guptnath Singh Yadav, who departed from our lives on October 7, 2022.

    Synopsis

Love Haunts Forever. In this dark and intense tale, the story revolves around Bhaskar and Garima, whose love takes them on a treacherous journey. The city is plagued by a series of bank robberies and brutal murders, creating chaos and fear among the populace. As the state elections draw near, the authorities unleash the full power of the police department to restore order.

Bhaskar, Rajeev, and Abhimanyu, after enjoying a peaceful evening on the balcony, engage in a conversation about the heightened police presence. Abhimanyu, contemplating a way out, reveals his plan to leave the group and settle down with his love, Niharika. This decision strikes an emotional chord with Bhaskar, who reminisces about his own past love story.

Bhaskar recounts his college days, a time of youthful vigor and budding romance. The campus comes alive with energetic students, and Bhaskar finds himself captivated by Garima, a beautiful and innocent girl. Over time, their connection grows stronger, and they pledge to never part ways. However, a fateful night at a party takes a tragic turn, shattering their once-sweet love story.

Fast forward ten years, and Bhaskar unexpectedly encounters Garima in a desperate situation. Garima is distraught and bleeding, while Bhaskar unintentionally commits an unthinkable offence. As Bhaskar lies wounded, he questions his fate, desperately seeking answers about the afterlife and the repercussions of his actions.

Love Haunts Forever. This tale delves into the depths of love, exploring its consequences and the haunting legacy it leaves behind.

    The Last Journey

    22 Feb, Chennai, Velachery.

The basement of the hotel was occupied with luxury cars. The glimmering tube lights on the ceiling were making a bright way, which Bhaskar was following to find a vacant place to park the black car.

Finally, he found one in the dark corner, side by side, by the elevator. Bhaskar occupied the vacant area, and all four men got off the car. Rajeev stands five steps ahead of the bonnet. gripped an unlit cigarette between dry lips. His keen eyes contracted the black lens to capture the objectionable picture in the inky basement, but he could not find any except his friends.

He then looked towards Abhimanyu and Arman, who were marching behind the car. Bhaskar's questionable face received a green signal as they nodded both heads positively at the same time. He threw the car's key at Arman, but he fumbled and dropped it. The gentleman standing around him shared an amusing smile, looking at each other. Arman picks up the key from the floor and unlocks the trunk of the car.

They pulled out two heavy brown bags. Bhaskar presses the button alongside the elevator's wall, and all four men pay pin-drop attention to the lift's arrival. The door of the elevator opens without carrying any abrasive elements. They occupied the vacant elevator with their mysterious, heavy bags.

Our rooms are on the 3rd floor. Bhaskar asks in a confused manner.

    Yes, Arman replied.

This fan is creating a sound like the one hanging inside the old local trains, Abhimanyu says, staring at the furious fan hanging from the elevator roof.

It could fall at any time.

Yeah, it looks new, but I think some of its screws are loose, Rajeev said.

That's why the fan got tilted. Bhaskar gazed around.

The sound of the fan stopped on the third floor. Rooms 303 and 305 were on the left side of the stairway and on the right side of the elevator.

Okay guys, we will meet at the dinner table, but now I'm tired. I need some rest and am referencing a bath. Bhaskar opens room No. 303. Arman and Abhimanyu shared room No. 305 with both the mysterious bags. Rajeev shares the room with Bhaskar.

The sun went off in the city. Soon! And the artificial lights were enough to dazzle the heritage and old palaces of the city. The hotels in the city were more attractive at night to catch a stranger's eye. A beautiful wench holds her nose when Bhasker passes by her. The aroma of the shirt was bewitching to every single nose.

Wow, your perfume smell is killing the nose. Rajeev collects the drifting fragrance with a deep sniff.

Yeah, thank you! I brought it from France. He smiled and said,

France! Great. I also have a dream to see the Eiffel Tower, but still, life has not been kind to me. Rajeev Great country! I wish I could live there for a while to enjoy the fashion of France and a variety of perfumes as well.

Yeah, sure, brother. I will pray to God for your visa's arrival. Bhaskar laughed loudly as Abhimanyu smiled while listening to the serious conversation.

But you need to apply first of all. Abhimanyu completed the rest of the sentence.

Um, hmm, still with a gloomy expression.

Look at this, Arman said, breaking down the mirror of the Eiffel Tower.

At the top of the hotel roof, there was an open area surrounded by a steel railing. That was like an open-air restaurant, as it was well decorated with flowerpots. Not all, but some of the flowers were spreading their fragrance in the air. Also, there was a pattern of chairs and tables that were well arranged under the coloured vapour lights. People were enjoying their delicious dinner, and the professional waiters were busy serving the appetising food.

They were separated from the sky by a thick shade of blue glass, which was showering a soft Tamil song as the speakers were attached to it; the city was looking beautiful from the top. The lights of the city were shimmering like stars, and that was an awesome view to watch the twinkling of stars in the sky and also on the earth at the same time.

Please, sir, join here. A waiter shows the vacant table near the corner of the steel railing. The big table was surrounded by six wooden chairs. Before joining the table, Bhasker's eyes were keen to search for the best one, but all were already occupied.

This is the menu card, sir, the waiter said with a spurious smile. Arman took the menu card from the waiter and forwarded it to Bhaskar.

Guys, what would you like to have, vegetarian or non-vegetarian? Bhaskar asked.

Oh, let me see the item first. Bhaskar started reading the dinner course on the second page. Today! I will prefer to eat non-veg. Bhaskar's eyes sparkled with a piece of partially dipped mutton.

Hmm, here it is! Mutton Keema, Mutton Masala, Mutton Reshmi Butter Masala. Looks delicious.

I would like to order Mutton Masala with Butter Chapatti, Bhaskar said, twisting his wet tongue.

I will love it too, Spicy Mutton Masala. Arman also swallows the gulp. And you guys? Arman asks.

Who will like to eat vegetables after listening to the delish mutton masala? Rajeev keeps the menu on the table without completing a single line.

Please bring two full mutton curries and 15 butter chapattis. Abhimanyu gives the order to the waiter. Am I right, guys?

Yes, but first bring some starter, whatever the best one!

Yes, sir, we have delicious dry 'Chicken Majestic' as a starter; I will serve you within a minute. Happily, the waiter's legs move towards the kitchen.

Umhm, what a texture with a smoky flavour.

Yes, you are right, Mr. What is your name? crushing the delicious leg piece bone and trying to read the nameplate of the waiter, which was fixed by a safety pin on his pocket. Mr. Subash, am I right? Chicken is majestic, Abhimanyu said, and the waiter also accepted the appreciation by nudging the head down.

And after finishing the starter, the waiter serves the yummy mutton masala and butter chapattis. Arman lifted the bowl of mutton and brought his nose closer to take a whiff of the flavoured smoke.

Wow! he exclaimed, inhaling the gravy flavour. "To stop the flow of saliva, Arman picked a piece of tomato.

My stomach can't wait for a single moment; let's eat. Bhaskar instructed the waiter to serve the item.

Yup, Rajeev gestured to him to complete the task without wasting his time, and the waiter filled the empty plate. They all enjoyed the delicious food and some good talk. The waiter gently served them, and after they finished their food, the waiter brought a bowl of warm water with floating pieces of sliced lemon to wash their oily hands.

Anything else, sir? drawing a happy face on his cheeks, Would you like to have some dessert? We also have a good collection of north Indian sweets, if you like."

No, thank you. Arman took out his wallet and asked, Can we get the bill?

Yes, of course, sir. He handed over a black copy of the bill with a big smile.

Arman opens the diary and puts five hundred notes inside: No need to return the change; keep it. While returning the change, Arman said to the waiter:

After a good dinner, they all gather in room 303. Arman picks up the remote for the TV, as Rajeev missed it when Bhasker threw it on the bed.

Please don't select the news channel, Rajeev said after losing the remote Rajeev plea to Arman. It always seems boring to me, man. Select some cartoon channels, like Oggy and the Cockroaches."

Cartoon channel?? Bhasker exhaled the smoke of a cigarette completely
