Her inherent talent comes from her grandfather, Lt. Shri. Sharadchandra Tongo - a famous Marathi novelist of India. Laleeta has been in touch with literature of various sorts and has always been determined to produce some of her own - always shy to publish. After post-graduating in English Literature, Laleeta has started working as a curricula developer, and content writer in MNC for the last 15 years. Simultaneously, in 2017, Laleeta and her closest friend started a Pune-based, media production company named The Big World Studios under which she has written and produced a couple of short films, feature-length films in Marathi, and several scripts for promotional and ad videos. She religiously enrolled on Stanford's Creative Writing workshop which gave her an entirely new perspective on writing. When she’s not sipping a cup of tea and scribbling the plot of her next story in her notepad, she enjoys cooking, decorating, goofing around with her son, Archis, and being outdoors with her sports and nature-loving husband, Suhas, and her beautiful goldendoodle dog, Iris.IF HE KNEW I WAS A WRITER TOO is a collection of her reflections that she scribbled on paper which unknowingly became her first published poetry book. This book is dedicated to her late grandfather who was a famous writer in India. She strongly thinks if he knew she was a writer too, they would have exchanged a lot of different ideas, which could have shaped her writing, as well as her life. A reader will cherish this book where womanhood is captured and cherished with a lot of integrity.view less
