About this ebook

The creation of the world which consist of humans, the universe which comprises of all the existing matter and space as a whole is still a mystery which mankind has not been able to give a concrete answer to.

Simply put a mystery is best described as something that is difficult or impossible to understand or explain.  It can also be looked at as something beyond the comprehension of man.

The Bible tells us that the mystery of God is Jesus Christ now revealed in us: Colossians 2:-3 KJV: “  In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

From the perspective of the Bible a mystery is something that was hidden at one time but has been made known to the children of God. Unravelling the mystery of God is something that is beyond the comprehension of man. It is mind blowing and explosive for man to want to unravel it by their own human understanding, knowledge, or intelligence. This can only be achieved through the help of the Holy Spirit. That is why when Jesus was talking to his disciples about his impending crucifixion and resurrection in John 16 verse 13 & 14

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.  He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine and shall shew it unto you.

So this book The Hidden Mystery focus on what aspect of God’s word could be termed as mysteries:- The mystery of conception and birth both physical and spiritual: The mystery of Faith: The mystery of marriage:  The mystery of the Word: The mystery of Prayer:  the Mystery of Life; The mystery of the cross etc.

When it comes to the mysteries of God and the truth surrounding the creation of mankind, there is a constant battle going on in man’s mind. The raging battle is centered around “belief and unbelief” Such battles can only be won by submitting totally to the will of God.

    INTRODUCTION

Life itself is a mystery that no one has been able to unravel, only God. A mystery is that Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; (Ephesians 3:5).

Let’s jump start this by asking the question-What is a Mystery? And why is it termed as Hidden?

The Oxford dictionary defined a mystery as something that is difficult or impossible to understand or explain. While Mariam Webster defined a mystery as something not understood or beyond understanding; a religious truth that one can know only by revelation and cannot fully understand. If this definition is true of a mystery, then why do we also say it is hidden? Simply put the Amplified Bible describes it as

"But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters]." (1 Corinthians 2:14)

What is the hidden mystery of God? As believers in Jesus Christ when one thinks of the puzzling questions of creation, of existence, of the hidden mysteries of life and what is happening all over the world in general, the first thing that comes to mind is the Bible. There is no other explanation that can be ascribed to such wonder and amazement. As a child, even up to this time, there are three things that I see around the world that have always been a wonder and amazement to me and up to this point of my life still beats my imagination how they are:

    (1) The sea/ocean. You see a vast body of water occupying a massive space across the earth with no sight of the beginning or the end. Looking at the waves of the sea, the blue color associated with it and when you look at it closely it seems like the sky is submerged in water. I have not been able to wrap my mind around it nor comprehend it but to conclude that this can only be the handiwork of God. This is a conclusion that can never be taken lightly or with a pinch of salt.

    (2) The Radio. How can a little box with tiny wires screwed to it be able to disseminate messages through the airwaves to everyone to hear at the same time, it could only be God.

    (3) The Aircraft (Airplane), A massive object made of steel with a massive weight, carrying hundreds of passengers and tons of load beating the law of gravity going up and suspended in the air for hours unending. It could only be the power of the Almighty God that is responsible for this great mystery.

The Bible tells us that the mystery of God is Jesus Christ: the bible says in Colossians 2:2-3 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Looking at this scripture one can boldly and categorically state that Jesus Christ has been revealed to mankind and in Him all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge of God is hid.

In the New Testament A mystery is referred to when something that was hidden at one time but is now revealed to God’s people. Jesus spoke of the mystery of the kingdom of God Mathew 13: 10-11. The disciples came to him and asked, Why do you speak to the people in parables? He replied, "Because the
