MIROSLAV PILJ was born in Sarajevo on

November 3, 1961. He has been writing since

the mid-seventies of the twentieth century. He

published 11 books of poetry.

At the end of the seventies, and in the beginning of

the eighties he began to write sung poetry more

intensively. Since then, he has collaborated with numerous composers

and performers of popular music from the area of the former

Yugoslavia.

He is the author of a series of dramatic texts for which he received

numerous awards.

He is the author of the lyrics Peace to you for the official festive

song on the occasion of the welcoming of the Holy Father Pope Francis

in Sarajevo in 2016.

For less than three decades, he was engaged as a journalist and program

editor for several media houses.

He is the author of a series of concepts and scenarios for various radio

and TV programs that were realized in the production of several

television companies.

He is the author of the art-poetry-musical performance The Power of Water

presented in several cities of BiH as well as the independent art exhibition

"Wings

of Time" and a participant in numerous collective exhibitions in

BiH and abroad.

He is the author and performer of a poetically satirical performance .

As a representative of BiH, he participated in the work of the Congress

of the Federation of Youth for Peace in the World held in Washington

DC USA, and as a writer he presented himself at the Third World

Festival of Culture and Sports also held in Washington DC.

He is a member of the Society of Writers of BiH, the Society of

Croatian Writers HB, the Society of Journalists of BiH, AMUS, the

Croatian Society of Composers, and vice-president of the Association

of Visual Artists of the Croatian Cultural Society Napredak

He lives and works in Sarajevo. (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
