2000 Offense Formations - Mark Hayford

    Notes

This book contains over 2000 formations in black and white. Diagrams were made to scale to 1 yard splits because this makes for easier drawing when you print and draw on a play. They are generally setup so that 10 personnel is first in the images, then 11, 20, and so on. 21 starts around 1400 and I personally think that section provides some interesting ideas. Some formations are flipped versions of a formation BECAUSE most coaches would find it useful to have both. However, they are generally not back to back in that order. For the most part once you get to 11. Then 11 with the TE Left formations are shown first.

In creating this specific position labels are used. ON and OFF for WRS at hash, slot and numbers.

As you move through you can see the variations more clearly. And having SLOT and HASH makes for more variation of wr split possibilities. Again, nothing is explicitly added as a Z receiver or X or using phrases specific to a system like close splits Wide Tight and so on. So the freedom to choose how you think about each location is yours. This is merely an explanation of the behind the scenes creation.

There is TE ON, Wing which is a TE and a WING OFF. And Feather which is basically a TE off.

If you are looking to get a zip of these images you can find it at

That should make it easier to print what you are looking for. For the most part the file lines when ordered by name would match the numbered lines in this book. You can also search for SlotOn, feather or undercenter in the images and find specific things you might be searching for.

Kindly provide reference to the ebook when sharing any of the images. As a coach I certainly understand free resources are helpful.

Thanks! And if you are looking to get this customized with certain letters as different positions or other colors send a message.
