    alan somerset is an emerging author who has been exploring haiku, free verse, and various lyrical forms for many years with work under various pseudonyms and in private collections. In other professional roles, he has written primarily in non-fiction and published magazine articles, biographies, law reviews, articles, and book chapters. His current writing interests range from poetry, through fantasy (sword & sorcery, high fantasy, mythic fiction), speculative fiction and alternate history, to mystery (noir and hardboiled), along with some literary non-fiction ideas. Alan and his family split their time between Appalachia and the American West when not traveling elsewhere. When not at the keyboard, he enjoys adventure in the outdoors for the inspiration it provides.
