About this ebook

The setting sun cast a gloomy orange glow through the blinds of Dr. Myra Cooper's office. She peered at the clock, eager to end another tiresome day treating difficult patients. Her final session had gone particularly poorly. Adam Crawford's mental state seemed to deteriorate by the week despite her efforts.

"Try to get some rest this weekend, Adam," Myra said wearily. "And please, call me if you feel your compulsions worsening again."
