Does Anybody Give A F*ck About An Alpha Male - David Lamar
DAVID LAMAR
Preface: Giving all glory to God.
Have you ever been completely enraged, angry, or profoundly sad? Have you felt rage to the point of losing control, so much that it felt like you were losing a grip on reality? How do you cope with loss, whether it be financial or personal? What about purpose? Do we all possess an individual purpose that we must fulfill?
These questions force us to wonder what, then, is the meaning of life? What is the essence of being human? What is man? What exemplifies the ideal man? What act defines us as men? How significant is money, and how do you perceive its importance? Is it a true measure of success, the real path to happiness, or something else entirely? What about family, and to a lesser degree, friends—should their presence in our lives hold equal value? Can true discipline and free will truly coexist?
A more honest question, what is love, and how do we express it? Do you believe in GOD? Why? Why not? What is the purpose of prayer and its true meaning? What happens when you die- Is purgatory an ending destination for us all? Therefore, when it comes to accountability, who should be held accountable? -And Ultimately, what truly matters the most?
As we journey through life, these profound questions haunt the mind, pushing us to seek deeper meaning and understanding. There's a quote that goes something like: A person who cannot control their thoughts will not be able to control their lives.
This journey of mental exploration isn't just a pursuit of answers; it's a quest to gain mastery over our minds, our destiny, and our very existence.
As the title says, Does anybody give a fuck about an Alpha male?
This book is not a cry for attention, nor a signal for aid. It's a narrative of awareness for all men. This book has nothing to do with race, religion, nor sexuality. Its primary focus is masculinity: how society perceives it to be versus the individual, whether male or female.
The label alpha male
will be used a lot within this reading, only because it's more familiar, and to put a label on a type of man, in my opinion, and the differences thereof. Each man has a different path that they take in life, and even though each path is different, we all end up on similar roads along the way.
Therefore, I don’t have to know you personally, its simply if you’re a God-fearing man with family, then I know what you go through. I’ve felt what you feel. I’ve been where you are. I know the pillar of strength that you must be on a daily basis, the emotional, mental, financial, and physical stability you are for those around you. And on your days of frustration or despair, when you just need peace the most, you must put it aside, bury it deep, and continue being the warrior that you are.
So, my question arises: Does anybody give a fuck about the alpha male; the struggles, the mental warfare, or triumphs that we share.
Introduction:
In a world where no one seems to give a fuck about an alpha male and masculinity is being pushed to deflation as Tucker Carlson once put it, I'm speaking from a place where most can probably relate to—growing up in a small town where everyone you met for the first time asked, Who's your granddaddy? Or who your folks?
Your family's history shaped your identity more than you realized. In those days, your last name wasn't just a label; it carried the weight of generations that came before you behind it. And as you read these words, I'm not here to preach about some perfect version of a man or to dictate how all men should live. Instead, I want to dive into the raw and real emotions, the challenges, the relationships, the moral dilemmas, and the vulnerabilities that every man faces on his journey. It's about becoming an Alpha—the kind who doesn't point fingers at society, but rather stands tall, unshaken by the storms, and guides others through the chaos.
Life's essence is not found in the absence of challenges but in our ability to face them head-on, to transform our trials into triumphs. The journey of an alpha male is filled with moments of both invincibility and vulnerability. There are times when the world seems to be at our feet, only for the ground to shift beneath us unexpectedly, leaving us grappling for a sense of balance and purpose. Whether it's navigating the complexities of relationships, enduring emotional heart pain of personal loss, or battling the internal demons of pass insecurities and or childhood trauma, each experience shapes us, molds us into warriors of our own destiny.
Have you ever felt like you were on top of the world, where everything just clicked, and you were invincible? But then, out of nowhere, your world flipped upside down, and it seemed like nothing you did could bring back that magic? That golden Midas touch slowly turned into rust. Now finding yourself building walls to keep the world out, all while your confidence crumbled within. Shit Anxiety strikes! Which forced you to retreat into a shell, convinced you’d be better off tackling those demons alone. But this self-imposed isolation only made your doubts grow deeper, your battles more private, and your despair harder to escape. Life has its moments when you feel on fire, like you're conquering the world with every step. Yet, just as suddenly, the rug can be pulled out from under you, and suddenly you're struggling to regain your balance. It's a rollercoaster, with victories and setbacks that can shake your confidence and even your financial stability. In comparison, what if everything wasn't torn away from you? What if things are going well, yet it seems like you have nobody you can trust? No one stands in your corner, no true friends to confide in. It feels as if you're encircled by leeches, each sucking on a piece of you. Financial gain and social recognition, almost mysteriously, transform into burdens. The wildest part is that this is exactly what I asked for. It's not just about my journey; it's about igniting the fire within every man who feels confined by life's challenges. Every man has a story worth telling, a journey worth understanding. As Maya Angelou wisely said, 'You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.'"
Yet, within these struggles and solitude, there are lies an undeniable truths: the desire for understanding, for someone to acknowledge the weight we carry, the battles we fight, not in search of sympathy, but in recognition of our shared humanity. This book is a call to arms for every man who has ever felt overlooked, misunderstood, or alone in his fight. It's an affirmation that while the world may not always recognize our struggles, we see them, we honor them, and we stand together in solidarity.
Chapter 1: Identifying the Alpha Dilemma
How do we identify the problem? This question is easier said than answered. What if statistics could show how many times an adult looks in the mirror and acknowledges they have a problem? The data wouldn't be concise. It's subjective, clouded by societal perceptions of success and personal beliefs. An adult, regardless of their social or financial standing, operates within a self-created system. And within that system, there often appears to be no wrongdoing, especially when personal and financial responsibilities are correctly well-handled.
In times of material success, when everything seems to be going well, constant travel, parties, shopping sprees, and everyone wants to be a part of the fold, flooding you with unwarranted praises. Yet, ironically, when the tide turns and it all unfolds, the whispers start. The veneer cracks, revealing the rot beneath the shiny surface. The once-celebrated man now ridiculed as a fool who lost it all. Those same friends and family members, who once basked in the glow of your accomplishments, now cast shadows of negativity and doubt. This transition pleads the question: How did I reach this point? Looking back, the greatest lesson I've learned is humility. There's a saying I recall from a movie, and though I might be paraphrasing slightly, it goes something like, Money allows a person to become the real asshole they've always wanted to be.
This rings especially true when financial stability is achieved in one's 20s. Surrounded by the trappings of success, it's easy to feel as though you're ahead of everyone else, gratified by material status and social recognition.
However, the root of this problem often lies within, leading to a necessary self-analysis. It's about recognizing that the issue stems from deep within yourself. I had to come to terms with the fact
