    About the Author

    Overview

Throughout my lifetime, I’ve always heard the saying It's all in the mind. Now, I’ve come to realize the deeper meaning behind these words. The mind is the most powerful component within our human bodies as it can contribute to our enslavement or liberation. The mind is the door to freedom within this world we live in. And while the mind is the door to freedom, the eyes are the windows to the soul when we learn to channel the vision correctly.

In the past, I felt like I was imposing on others when sharing my LIGHTWORK concepts with them. As I continued my daily practices, studies, and routines, I found an answer to a question I had been seeking since a child and I couldn’t deny it anymore. All of my personal experiences, studying, and decisions started to make sense.

I questioned and doubted myself for so long, but I am now confident within my skills to utilize my gifts to be able to help you open your minds to a new perspective.

Instead of feeling like a burden, I’ve learned to speak on them freely to at least plant a seed. In my experience, the mind is the door to our own spirit and soul. As I've continued my LIGHTWORK, I realize that the spirit and soul are alike but are two different extremes.

The spirit is often defined as an animating or vital principle held to give life to physical organisms. We usually define the soul as the immaterial essence, animating principle, or actuating cause of an individual life. When we analyze the definition of the soul, it's imperative to note the word essence and break it down.

Essence is the intrinsic (i.e. belonging naturally) nature or indispensable quality of something, especially something abstract, that determines its character. When we analyze the definition of essence, I believe it's essential to note the word nature — the basic or inherent features of something.

With these brief definitions for soul and essence, we can dive into the meaning and purpose of this guide.

LIGHTWORK is the work that resparks the light of the spirit after any pain, trauma, and distortion allowing you to set a new foundation for yourself and to go forward without the heavy burdens of the past.

SOULWORK is the work that you’ll do to help you return home — your home being your soul.

    DAILY CANVAS

From my experience, pain triggers deep emotions that arise not to hurt us, but creates opportunities. We can self reflect and become aware of our decisions, our way of thinking, our habits, and routines that we’ve adopted subconsciously from experiencing pain, trauma, and the daily conditioning of the world telling us what we should be, how we should look, think, feel, act, what we should believe in, what’s right and what’s wrong for us, etc.

The goal of SOULWORK is to utilize our pain to learn our true self and use it as a tool to create life from a renewed, authentic, and evolved perception and direction. This is essentially working to return to our original state before the trauma.

Take a moment to visualize a child and a blank white canvas. I believe the childlike spirit is what we should always embody — this ensures a life of passion, creativity, fearlessness, confidence, the ability to speak our minds freely, and the natural flow towards our heart’s wildest dreams. Here, we can believe anything is possible and can have anything without any burden.

Now visualize the blank white canvas, and let’s say this represents our mind and what we’re taught since we’re born has been painted on one canvas. This would consist of what we endure (whether positive or negative), and all of life’s experiences are within that canvas from childhood to our present. Imagine if we never wipe that canvas clean to its original state?

It's going to become distorted and confusing to make a clear vision of what is actually on that canvas. So imagine if we never clear our minds, from what we’re taught, what we consume, and all of our experiences from childhood to the present. Do we know which thoughts are truly ours or the ones that derive because of our past experiences? Can we say we truly know ourselves and what’s best for us? Which in turn poses the question, do we really see who we are? Not who we’ve become over time and who we’ve learned to be, but who we truly are at the depths of our soul.

SOULWORK is digging into the depths of the soul and realizing even after doing the deep healing work, there is something unseen that is constantly operating in the background of our minds that tries to keep us from completely ascending from the traumas and pain that have occurred in our lives. This background noise hinders us from reconnecting back to our true nature and who we were before any of the tumultuous or even positive experiences.

This background noise is directly linked to our subconscious mind. It’s what creates disharmony within us, it's what creates shame, doubt, and anxiety. It's what keeps us living in fear, pushes us to conform to be accepted, keeps us within limited thinking patterns, causes us to compare ourselves to others, and most importantly, it's the root cause of why we seek love and validation outside of ourselves.

When we learn to silence the background noise, we
