About this ebook

Bara Cohen grew up in a non-practicing Jewish home, was a child prodigy with an unusual love of plants, but now, at the age of twenty-one, is the youngest professor of physics at Yale University in America, and a bordering atheist. And yet, Bara wanted to believe that there is more to life than mere scientific facts. Facts, he knew, which often must be adjusted as new discoveries are made.
At the age of fourteen Bara had an unexpected vision which made him fear for his sanity, but rather resulted in a change of studies, from botany to physics.
A call from Michael, an older friend who used to study botany with him, led to them going to Israel, where, in a most unusual manner, Bara came across a treasure buried in the side of a riverbank.
It was an ancient ring with an inscription in an archaic form of the already archaic Paleo-Hebrew on the inside. This ring with its unusual inscription would put Bara on an exhilarating journey discovering the amazing hidden mystery of the Story of Creation in Bereisheet of the Jewish Torah, or Genesis 1 in the Christian Holy Bible.
Thanks to the ring Bara found, he, together with Doctor Abdiel Ben-Ezra, a Messianic-Jew, and head of Archaeology at Jerusalem Museum, and later joined by Shesh Yamim, a student of Doctor Ben-Ezra, found a completely new way of looking at the Story of Creation, which left them breathtakingly stunned right from the start.
Bara’s name means “he (meaning the masculine God) created, or creating,” and Bara ended up where you never thought he’d be…!

Metanoia was born in 1959 in a hospital in Lichtenburg, South Africa, even though her parents stayed in a small town, Sannieshof, not far from Lichtenburg.
In 1994 she pleaded with God in tears to please teach her the Truth after serious errors in the Bible came to her attention and unbelievable as it may sound, God did teach her the Truth over a period of many years. Only at the end of 2022 did He open the door for this Truth to be made public.
She has three children and now stays with her fourth husband in Zeerust, South Africa.

BARA –The hidden mystery of Genesis 1. Book I - Metanoia

    CHAPTER 1

    BARA (Ba-RA)

In his office, at Yale University, an American-nonpracticing Jewish physicist in his early twenties had a sudden and unexpected flashback from his childhood. He was described as a child prodigy, albeit a child very much interested in plants. How they grow, what makes them grow, why is their sap green, and not yellow, and yet, even when spending a good deal of time alone in the garden, he had an inner sense that what he saw was not the ultimate of the plant kingdom there is to know.

The flashback Bara Cohen had was about a book his parents bought him on his seventh birthday, called The Secret Life of Plants, because of his interest in grass, flowers, herbs, trees, and everything green that grows. He was extremely excited about this book, as the authors, it seemed, also believed that there is more to the plant kingdom than we could see.

As he snuggled up on the couch one day after he spent some time entertaining his parents on the piano, he came across an interesting chapter, all about Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Goethe, it seemed, was also a botanical enthusiast, but when he made an important discovery regarding the plant kingdom, the botanical establishment of his time refused to accept his discovery, as ‘he was a writer, and not a botanist.’ And yet, his discovery was both true and important, and had to be taught to botanical students at universities.

Even though scientists declared the book as pseudoscience, Bara knew intuitively that he was on the right track. There was something more to the plant kingdom than met the eyes, and even though this book greatly satisfied him, he sensed that there was even more…

Two other men of great importance, one born in 1678, the other born in 1889, stood out for him as mentors in the book, and unbeknownst to him, he would meet them again later in his life, on a path he never could have foreseen. The first was Jean-Jacques d’Ortous de Mairan, and the other Harold Saxton Burr.

All indications were that Bara would study botany, and he did so for two years, as from the year he became twelve, but in his fourteenth year, something happened

that changed the course of his life and his studies…

    CHAPTER 2

    THE CONDEMNED

It is the year 13,579 BC. The Bara tribe is making ready for an important meeting around the sacred fire. Savages they are not, for they have the inner knowing that order is better than chaos, and tonight, the leader of the tribe said he was going to give them a set of rules that each and every one would have to live by or face the consequences of their actions; being dead to the tribe, even if they were still alive. They would, for all practical reasons, be non-existent with no chance of being accepted again. It would be permanent.

The name of the leader of the tribe was Yona, but an important member of the tribe was called Bara because he came with an authority given to him by the God named YHWH. He chose not to be the leader of the tribe for he knew himself to be the first teacher of God and not the leader. Yona knew that Bara was the actual leader, but because Bara gracefully passed the leadership to Yona, he acknowledged Bara by giving the tribe the name of Bara.

As Bara interacted with the other members of the tribe, they immediately sensed his God-given authority. He had a spiritual encounter with God YHWH which stayed with him continuously and it was God who gave him his name. Bara, meaning He, God, created, or He, God, is creating and he knew that which God YHWH had taught him regarding Creation, he was to teach to the members of his tribe…, but not yet.

As the tribe grew with new members of lost humans nearly starved and eternally grateful for finding a functioning community, God spoke to Bara and gave him a set of rules for the tribe to live by. God YHWH, who knows all, knew that the tribe had by now grown to twenty-one people and knew that men and women would start falling in love. If they were to be His people, they would need His commandments. Bara discussed it with Yona, who agreed fully and that is why all the members of the tribe were getting ready for this important meeting around the sacred fire.

    ***

As the sun was setting in its appointed space in heaven, the sacred fire was lit and the twenty-one adults came out of their shelters, naturally forming a circle around the fire. Yona and his woman came from their main shelter, a white dove sitting comfortably on his shoulder, between him and Marni, the mother of their three-year old son, Bram. Bram was the only child in the tribe then. And then Yona spoke:

People of the Bara Tribe, listen to the words of our Father God YHWH, Creator of the Heaven and the Earth, he said while everyone was listening intently. But, he continued, before we listen to God’s rules given to us to help us into the future, you must know that anyone who does not follow these rules will be chased from our tribe, will be dead to our tribe, with no chance of being accepted again, therefore, listen carefully and, if needed, renew your thinking accordingly.

Yona and Bara watched the tribe moving around somewhat restlessly, then got quiet and listened even more intently.

Yona raised his voice as he spoke the words given to him by Bara and as if on que, the other members of the tribe bowed their heads and closed their eyes, except one man called Dov…:

"I am YHWH, your only God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, and you will have no other god than Me before you, or in your midst, for you are Mine and I am yours and I jealously guard and protect those who belong to Me.

You will only worship Me, your God YHWH – no image of any other god will you make with your hands and worship that image.

My name is YHWH. You are to fear Me and not use My name other than for worshipping Me.

You must count every day until you reach the seventh day. That day is different than the others, and is holy unto Me. You will honour My holy day and not do any work. My holy day is for resting, as I rested on the seventh day after creating Heaven and Earth.

You will honour your father and mother and not treat them bad, for I have given you unto them, and them unto you.

    You will not kill.

A man and woman whom I give to each other, who loves each other and want to be together for life, must get married before Me and neither will go to any other man or woman for all
