    Dedication

Great thanks to my dad, Joe, who came up with the idea of me writing a book in the first place, and to my best friend, Ethan Gillingham, who suggested that I should include dragons in my book. Thank you to my nanny, who helped to make this book possible. Lastly to my family whose names all inspired my characters.

    Introduction

Hello there, reader (I got the reader part from David Walliams, one of my favourite authors, hello there, David, if you are reading this) and welcome to the world of Wildor. My name is Caleb Lowenstein, and I started writing this book when I was nine years old. By the time I have finished this book, I will probably be ten or eleven, because it is going to take AGES to write (please don’t give me bad feedback, as I will use up a lot, and I mean a LOT, of my time writing this) so don’t be surprised if you read this and think, jeez, that’s a lot of words. So as a warning to all long story haters, this book will have over twelve-thousand words, along with over fifty-three pages (I presume, as I haven’t started writing yet) and most of my classmates don’t even know I’m writing one! Oh, look, a car with a cute dog inside just pulled up near our house… SLAP! Ow! Oh, thanks for slapping me back into focus. Olive (I get distracted easily, Olive is my seven-year-old sister who will be eight or nine by the time this book is finished, and what I said to her wasn’t sarcastic). Awwwww, man, my four-year-old brother Elijah just messed up my bed! Excuse me, reader, I have to tidy my bed or my mum, Sarah, will ground me for today and tomorrow… Ah! All done. Anyway, as I was saying, I hope my Stourfield friends, enemies and teachers are reading this, as I will REALLY miss them when I go to secondary school, which is currently two
