Adventures in Healing - Judy Starr

    Purpose in Writing This Book

For years many of our friends and associates have been encouraging us to write this book. But until recently, we didn’t feel we had an unction from the Lord to do so. We now believe He’s telling us that many of our friends and loved ones who are desiring for the more of God in their life will find this book to be inspiration and that it will encourage them to be those who God uses to change our world. We also have encountered many people who are confused about the goodness of God and are not understanding the truth of what our Savior accomplished for us at the cross. Because of this confusion, they are unable to receive of Revelations 22:2 (NKJV), "the healing leaves from the tree of life," that God has made available to us. We have seen first-hand that when those who are hungry believers are connected with the truths of God’s words, they are enabled to receive the True Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and all that heaven has available for them!

    How to Use This Book

Please start from the beginning of the book. We want you to know from the beginning that the starting and ending place will always be Jesus giving you what He purchased for you at the cross. Even if you are not yet in a position to accept and receive the truth of what our Savior did for us. Our desire is that your journey through this book will help you to establish a strong foundation for your faith to be built on. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2, NKJV). Our hope is that this will be a journey of transformation and awakening into the reality of your identity in Christ. Again, our desire is that this will be the starting point and ending place of this book. Everything in between is meant to be a bridge to get you to the point of knowing, trusting, and having an intimate relationship with our Savior. We, in union with the Holy Spirit, are here to help you clear out the rubble of the past and to help bring the body into the fullness of the Lord. It is about knowing and believing that you are a member of the family of God and that God wants to put all of heaven in our hands so that, as the Lord’s Prayer, Matthew 6:9–13 (NKJV), "Your kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven" (verse 10).

As you go though what is written in each section of this book seeking your healing, please read the teachings first. Then the activating prayers that will minister to your needs in order for you to receive from the Lord. Please be willing to work on the life issues that have come down through the family lineage that has allowed the enemy to keep us (you) tied to our unhealthy generational life patterns (i.e., how we do life). The teachings on many of these concepts will explain and help you to understand the ways and recognize the multiple attempts of the enemy to keep us (you) screwed up and empowered to destroy our families’ heath and emotional state of well-being.

The generational prayer we use has been used by thousands to clear the way (spiritual air) for the Holy Spirit to reveal and release us from our private personal issues. Being released from those issues will help to uncover and break the strongholds brought upon us from our historical past. And many who have received prayer have observed that there was a shift that came over their families, bringing them forward into transformation as well. Many who have children at home report back that they’ve seen a shift in their children’s attitudes that allows them to align with heaven and produces a healthy family.

Then we move into allowing the Lord to expose the wrong beliefs and attitudes that set us up for hurt and pain. Things that the enemy is and has been using to produce more wrong beliefs and actions that empower the strongman of bitterness to defile many. Remember Hebrews 12:15 (NKJV): "Lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled. When the seed of bitterness is left to grow in the heart, it will eventually result in disease and then eventually death. The Lord wants to help you (us) pull (remove) those bitter seeds out of the heart and to let the good seed of God’s truth be planted in the heart. With revealed understanding of how forgiveness works, we will be more able to avoid the enemy’s attacks. And when he’s been exposed, When we resist him, he will flee" (paraphrased) (James 4:7, NKJV).

Those of you who have autoimmune diseases or have had them in your family, please work through the issues that are involved in autoimmune. I also believe that any one who has struggled with prolonged periods of depression or anxiety would be wise to deal with the spirit of death and suicide, which we teach on later. Even if you think you have overcome or that you’ve never experienced this destructive pattern of depression.

Bouts with grief, sorrow, hopelessness, and self-pity are some signs that a person is being led to this end (depression). Nip it in the bud. Let the Lord pull it out by the root. If you find yourself struggling with some of the issues (illnesses) in the chapter, beginning with autoimmune, please deal with them. It will keep you from having problems later on.

There are several diseases that we deal with individually in this book. Even if the one that is troubling you is not written down here, find the ones that share the most common symptoms you are having and work on them. If you can not find one, please do the general prayers that remove the generational issues, the false beliefs, the forgiveness issues, and the bitterness issues, as well as any other pain-filled issues that you have experienced. Cleansing the memories (healing them) and allowing the Lord to help you receive a healthy new life pattern (message to live by) usually follows the unraveling of hurt and pain. Remember, the Holy Spirit knows your heart and will help unravel the knots in your soul from those issues. The goal: "Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith" (1 Timothy 1:5, NKJV). When this is done, it will help to prepare us to be ready (expect) to receive all the good benefits that the Lord has stored up for us. He will work with us to lead us to the desired end, which is receiving the benefits of the finished work of the cross! Psalm 103:2–5 gives a good picture of the benefits God has for us.

You should study (identify) the common traits that are tied to the particular disease that fits your case. At some point, you should work on family (generational) beliefs, forgiveness issues, self-bitterness, and other specific issues.

The problem is many of us want to take the shortcut to being healed because we don’t want to take (invest) the time it often takes to get free. So then, after doing the common prayers already mentioned, then we recommend that you come back to the specific prayers the Lord has helped us design for your illness. So do all the prayers of repentance and release the issues that most likely caused those diseases, and "do them (repeat them)" as many times as you need to be free. So if you’re feeling like you need more ministry to clean up more of the pains and issues, don’t give up; keep moving forward, not backwards.

When the Lord gives you new truths to combat the old beliefs you’ve had, please record the truths that God reveals to you or that you have learned through ministry so you can meditate on them. Be especially diligent to decide to live by what the Lord has or will reveal to you. Find more than one Bible verse that confirms your truths. This will be important for the last part of your journey.

If you want more room to write revelations than what is provided in the enclosed prayer models, please purchase a journal. Remember, you do not have to read about every disease talked about in this book unless you are desiring to become a more effective healing minister.

Last of all, please do the walk out portion of this book. You will have one battle to get free and another battle to stay free! (Graham Cooke) Hebrews 2:1 talks about holding on to what you have less you drift away. This I, Judy, have a particular passion for since I’ve lived it.

If you are a minister of the gospel and you are doing healing line ministry, healing rooms, or ministry on the streets, we believe you will find (recognize) some strategies in this book that will help you to accomplish more in a shorter time frame. You (we believe) are now embarking on an exciting journey to know more about your God. In this process, you will know yourself, and you will become more excited about life and more confident in who God created you to be. Enjoy your journey. Relish every moment and enjoy His wonderful company!

Remember that at any time during your journey into faith, you may receive your healing! Wisdom is saying to you, It would be good, to deal with some more of your wounded heart issues.

    Lead me,

    Direct me… Supernaturally lead.

    Help me through every obstacle,

    Bless me with divine favor…

    Endorsements

Max and Judy have been ministering at Vision Church on the prayer team for years. I invited them to be a part of the prayer team because I saw their love for people. I saw how God moved through them in the lives of other people. They were getting people delivered from their past, and I was seeing how they loved to bring freedom into people by letting them come to the knowledge of God in their lives. I love how they go the distance with people. It keeps them spending as much time as necessary to fill people with the Father’s love and bring freedom into their lives. It gives them a new identity of being a child of God and knowing His goodness. I really appreciate how they resolve hurts and bring forgiveness even when that person doesn’t seem to deserve it. Helping them to let go of the pain in order to receive healing and restoration from God. I think it is such a powerful message today when we carry so much hurt from others who often have intentionally wronged us. Yet with help, we choose to let go of the hurt and pain letting God free us, even though the hurting heart doesn’t feel like we should forgive.

    Vision Church

Max and Judy Starrs’ ministry has been an integral part of my life since the day I encountered Jesus at Life Church Kona in 2001. Keenly attuned to the Spirit, the Starrs minister to the body and soul through the heart. Countless times I phoned them in pain, and their question was always: Who hurt you? And consistently, the pain was halted by prayer.

Deliverance is a lifestyle for the Starrs, bringing freedom from pain, both physical and emotional, to friends and strangers daily. They personify Hebrews 4:12: The message God spoke to us in Christ is the most life-giving and most dynamic influence in us, cutting like a surgeon’s scalpel, sharper than a soldier’s sword, piercing to the deepest core of human conscience, to the dividing of the soul and spirit, ending the dominance of the sense realm and its neutralizing effect upon the human spirit. In this way, a person’s spirit is freed to become the ruling influence again in the thoughts and intentions of their heart. The scrutiny of this word detects every possible disease, discerning the body’s deepest secrets, where joint and bone-marrow meet (Mirror Word).

I pray that the scalpel of the spirit be released through this book, bringing full and complete health in Christ Jesus.

I am really looking forward to getting this book. I feel like it has many truths that are necessary for the body of Christ. I look forward to ministering with them in the future.

I met Max and Judy about twelve years ago. At that time, we became friends. In that time, I have found them to be of great integrity. Second Timothy 2:22 is their lifestyle motto.

We would work together in the healing rooms, conferences, and individual cases. In the healing rooms, I worked in the sozo, and they would work on the floor. Their style of healing was different. They were seeing people healed on a constant basis. We watched as countless people were healed here and overseas. I have incorporated some of this into our ministry and have achieved a higher healing ratio. It’s never impossible to improve. The lost, the sick, and the person who prays will benefit. Have fun in the Holy Spirit.

    Chapter 1

    Jesus Paid the Price

    for My Healing

Lord, today help me look through the lens of grace. Today work in me to be transformed so that I might step into new beginnings each moment of life. It is a new day!

Why Jesus always wants to heal.

Why sometimes we are unable to receive healing.

Question: Have you ever found yourself in a place where you were wondering where and how you or a loved one were going to receive a much-needed healing? I have. I have seen and experienced the suddenness that happens during a church service when the presence of God comes. As ministers, we have experienced this suddenness, as well as having observed (experienced) evangelists or other ministers speaking out and declaring a word of knowledge (1 Corinthians 12:6–11) where God manifested healings, miracles, signs, and wonders. First Corinthians chapter 12, as well as Romans chapter 12, teach that there are different abilities to perform service, but the same God gives the ability to His ministers for each particular service. The Holy Spirit’s presence is manifested in various ways in each minister or ministry gift for the good of all. The Spirit gives one person a message full of wisdom, while to another, the same Spirit gives a message full of revealed knowledge (paraphrasing 1 Corinthians 12:4–12):

One and the same Spirit gives faith to one person, while to another person, he gives the power to heal. The Spirit gives one person the power to work miracles; to another person, the gift of speaking [declaring] God’s message, whether tongues or prophecy, and to another, the ability to decode [interpret] tongues to know what was said, and to another, the ability to discern whether the words spoken are from God or not.

    (Hereinafter, brackets added for clarity.)

A word of knowledge is seeing or inwardly knowing what the Spirit is doing and then declaring it. I.e., that someone is being healed. Whether, for example, it’s a severe leg pain from a fall from a ladder or cancer of the cervix or tormenting attacks due to severe abuse as a child. When these words are given, suddenly, the afflicted parts of the body are touched by the power of God, and the afflicted person is healed. Other times the Spirit may instruct someone to lay hands on the afflicted one so that the healing will manifest.

As you read the above words, you may notice that you are experiencing warmth or some other unusual feeling in your body that is letting you know that God is touching you. If you are sensing change, activate your faith by getting up and/or moving around by faith. Praise God for what you sense happening. You are most likely being healed! When the power of the Spirit of God touch’s the body, it may come with comforting heat or maybe intense impulses (like electricity), or maybe one would find themselves sinking (falling) to the floor into a period of divine rest. Then joy comes! The affliction is gone!

Testimony: This happened to a dear friend in a church healing room. He was healed of stage four cancer of the esophagus. As a skeptic, he had made a comment to his ministers that he didn’t want anybody touching him. But a young boy, being unaware of his request, ran up and touched him, and he instantly fell down under the power of God, appearing to be asleep. Forty-five minutes later, he came to believing in Jesus, fully healed and whole with no more tumors or cancer. But yet, many are still waiting, just as I have often waited for the touch from the Lord. Our minds and hearts crying out to Abba God, When is it my turn to be healed?

    Max’s Search for Answers

There are biblical answers that can be found! My husband has been a healing minister even before we met. His testimony: In September 1999, he had lost his precious wife of twenty-three years to a stroke. In November 1982, he had lost his four-month-old baby daughter, who died of meningitis. The loss of his daughter caused him to seek salvation, at which time he was born anew. During that eighteen-year time period, He also lost both his mother and his father, as well as many friends, to cancer. Max was one who was known in his church and his circle of friends as a healing minister. The demonic humiliation, as well as the persecution of mocking and ridiculing that came from his detractors, was intensely painful to him.

But instead of giving up on Jesus as the healer or allowing himself to be pushed into the place of giving up, he chose not to be satisfied with the religious ideas shared by many that God picks and chooses who He will or will not heal. Max chose to say no to the feelings and thoughts that came about from those who hounded and persecuted him. Thoughts that sounded like this, "Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose," because you just never know what God’s going to do.

Instead of quitting, it drove him forward and compelled him into a deeper relationship with God to find biblical answers. He knew from the Bible that Jesus paid the price for every man, woman, and child to be saved and healed (1 John 2:2). Isaiah 53:4a (GNT) speaks of Jesus: But he endured the suffering that should have been ours, the pain that we should have borne.

All the while, the Jews (like many in today’s church) thought that the sufferings of Jesus on the cross were just punishment (for Him being insane, deluded by demons) that was put on Him by God. But because of our sins, Isaiah 53:5a (GNT) said, "[…] he was wounded, beaten because of the evil we did." Yes, we are healed by the punishment He suffered, and we’re made whole by the blows He received.

[…] by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5b, NKJV). Galatians 3:13 teaches that He became a curse for us so that we could be freed from the curse of the law. Sickness is a curse from violating God’s laws, according to Deuteronomy 28, and is not the blessing God has for us. Again, being sick is certainly not and never will be a blessing! When we observe Jesus (in Matthew 4:23–24, Matthew 15:30, and Matthew 19:2) in the NKJV, it teaches and declares that Jesus healed every one (all) that were brought to Him for healing! You and I are intended to be apart of the all!

The Lord impressed Max that to fulfill his role as an Elder of the Church, "that everyone" that "called for the elders" and received prayer from the elders "got healed" (paraphrased) (James 5:14–15, NKJV). The Lord assured Max that at this present time in the church world, this is not happening. Again: The elders anoint with oil and pray the prayer of faith for a sick person; they "will get healed [be raised up], and if the sick one has sin, the sin will be forgiven" (paraphrased) (James 5:15, NKJV).

The price has been paid by Jesus for all to receive healing. But as of yet, many don’t see the results of Jesus’s great sacrifice that our Savior made being fulfilled.

Jesus Gave Us Our Kingdom Position

The scripture implies that it is totally up to us to use our God-given authority that enables us to receive the gifts that God freely gave us. Ephesians 3:10 says that the church is to release the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.

For God will not place the coming world, of which we speak under the government of angels. But the scripture affirms: What is man that you would even think about him, or are about Adam’s race. You made Him lower than the angels for a little while, You placed Your glory and honor upon His head as a crown. And you have given Him dominion over the works of Your hands.

    Hebrews 2:5–10 (TPT)

Leading Max to the conclusion from scripture as well as from observation of practical application that Jesus revealed to Max the Alpha and Omega of God’s healing plan.

    Alpha and Omega

    Papa God wants everyone healed.

He wants to heal you more than you want to be healed.

He wants to heal you even more than the prayer minister does.

He wants to heal you now. We call this the ABC—Z’s of healing. You can see between C and Z there are many possible ways and/or things that may need to happen to bring someone to faith so that they can receive Jesus the Healer and so that He can (manifest) enable one to receive the healing that Jesus paid for at the cross. It is all about receiving what Jesus paid for two thousand years ago!

Yes, there are often suddenlys where there is no process followed or any apparent reason why people experience the supernatural power of healing other than a good God just wanting to. Sometimes people do get instantly healed with the simple childlike prayer of faith by those praying for them. Yet, at other times, it seems (appears) that much needs to happen in the ministry process for one to receive. I.e., A B C D F H M P, etc. Yes, I know I messed up the alphabet, but that’s just the way God is. His ways are mind-blowing.

Third John 1:2 (NKJV) says, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

In this verse, we see that prosperity of our soul plays an important part in our being responsible for our physical health and our well-being. We see biblically that our renewed soul (mind, will, and emotions) is "the bridge" between our born-again spirit and our body. If our soul is in agreement with our new Christ spirit nature that we received at the time of our new birth, we will be brought into renewed health. Our Christ’s nature (very important) has the very spiritual DNA of our Heavenly Father (see 2 Peter 1:3–4). And Jesus paid an awesome price for us to be able to freely receive the divine (God Kind) of health and being.

The will of our Lord is Matthew 6:10 (NKJV): "His kingdom come, His will be done on [in] earth [includes our earthen vessel] as it is in heaven" (paraphrased). Reminder: There is no sickness in heaven! The curse from violating the law and all the horrible consequences that come from violating the law died with Jesus on the cross! That doesn’t, contrary to some opinions, mean that we won’t reap the consequences of our actions. Galatians 6:8 (NKJV) clearly states, If you sow [follow after the desires of the flesh], you will reap destruction as a consequence. If you are led by the Spirit, you will reap the benefits of the eternal [blessed] life (paraphrased).

    You Are a Three-Part Being

One of the confusing things many do not understand is that we are created in three parts, just like our Creator. Just as God is triune, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, so we were created in three parts. We are a spirit, we have a soul, and we live in a body. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost always agree with each other, so to be like God, our three parts need to be in agreement with God. Jesus always did only what He saw the Father doing. We, just like Jesus, will be in agreement with what the Father is doing when we are being led by the Holy Spirit. When our soul comes into agreement with our born-again spirit, then it will change our fleshly body and manifest God’s ways and blessings in our body.

I realize I’m barely touching some tough teachings, but I hope you seek more revelation should you need it. We don’t feel like we have space in this book to teach every principal as thoroughly as we would like.

In John 14:16–17, Jesus makes it clear that His followers, starting with the twelve apostles, would receive the Helper (Holy Spirit) who would be their comforter; He would lead, teach, be their friend, recall to them everything Jesus said and did, and that the Holy Spirit would reveal the future to them. Before His death on the cross, in John 17:21, 23, Jesus asked the Father to make us (His sheep) one with the Father just as He is one with the Father. The Father who is in Jesus and Jesus who is in the Father are one. Going on, the scripture says Jesus is (will be at new birth) in us [you and me] and we are in Jesus. This is God, making all His followers be able to be in union (oneness) with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We are all one, a completed entity; at least, that is God’s intention.

When Satan sees a believer who knows that Jesus literally lives in them and that they can do what Jesus did, it is terrifying to the demonic realm. The devil will work overtime to rob you of that. One of the Holy Spirit’s assignments, once we are filled with Him and are choosing to be led by the Spirit, is to release the revelation that our life in God comes from Him. That He is (has) adopted us as sons (daughters). He came to bring and reveal the comforter of heaven and release the words of heaven to us. He (the Holy Spirit) is to instruct and teach us the love of the Father and remind us of the words of heaven. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are always one (in agreement). It is not always that way with us. Oftentimes, our flesh rules our soul with its ideas and attitudes that were taught to us even as early as in the womb by our family and culture.

Too often, our friends, teachers, spiritual leaders, and those of our culture unknowingly teach us using words and by being living examples of what an unredeemed life looks like. Not to mention all the traumas (pain) from hurtful relationships in our day-to-day experiences in life. All this, plus our fleshly needs that desire to be satisfied, wars with our spirit in the (our) soul. In this war, when we allow our flesh to rule over us, it brings on the evil consequences of having sown to the flesh.

    The Gospel

The goal of the gospel is for us to first accept the sacrifice that Jesus made for us on the cross. The finished work of the cross was more than enough to deliver us out of the life cycle of death that had spiraled us downward, producing death and destruction. The good news is Jesus desires to help us receive the benefits of eternal life "He paid for" here on earth. As Jesus prayed, […] even as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10, NKJV).

    We Are Being Transformed

    into the Image of Christ

The second part of the Gospel of Salvation is to enter us into the process of transformation, where the Holy Spirit conforms us into the very image or nature of Christ’s likeness, even the salvation of our souls. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind… (Romans 12:2a, NKJV) Thus we enter the process of receiving our newborn again identities as beloved sons and daughters of a very merciful, kind, loving, and always good God who can always be trusted.

If we go back to the account of creation in Genesis chapter 3, we will observe that Adam and Eve were created alive spiritually, that they were cursed free, and had unbroken communion (relationship) with the Lord God. They (Eve, first) were deceived and ate from the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and at that moment, their God spirit died. And then, curse was ushered into the world. That separation from God now required them to work and toil for every good thing, whereas before, it was a free blessing.

But God sent Jesus, the Word manifested in human flesh. He came to reestablish the communion with Abba God and give us back the life and relationship that the devil stole from Adam in the Garden. Jesus (on the cross), which God foreknew (preordained) before the foundation of the world, established the only acceptable sacrificial offering that could once-and-for-ever allow us to take our place in God. Jesus chose to be punished for all our wrong doing and thinking. All the curse put on us by the sinful actions of Adam was removed from us and was put on Jesus, who allowed Himself to be nailed on the cross.

When we chose to believe in Jesus and all that He did, it made the way for our escape from the law of sin and death and to again be the blessed of God.

Romans 8:1 says that He fulfilled the penalty of the law that was due to come on us, and His death on the cross freed us from the law of sin and death. Through Jesus, a kind, loving God was satisfied, and sins held on us died with Jesus at calvary. He arose into newness of life, and we, along with Him, were resurrected into newness of life so that we could live in union with (be in) Christ. He became sin for us and did away with all the written requirements against us in the law, making us able to receive His righteousness. A total act of grace on God’s part!

We received a brand new Spirit that was made and fashioned in the image of God. Now we have the God-given ability in our reborn Spirit to look like, act like, and to even think the desires and thoughts of God. Our Spirit is renewed, born again. We became regenerated people the moment we said I do (yes) to Jesus and accepted Him as our Savior! This life He put in us is the new man. It is the new creation, the part of us that walks in newness of life.

Our soul is the part of us that is being transformed and now can think, feel, and reason from the Christ’s nature He put in us. Warning: It can still be the part that just looks out for number one you if you choose wrong. When our soul is flesh driven, it is basically selfish. While our spirit man is in total agreement with Daddy God, our unrenewed soul man can oscillate back and forth and find itself living out of the realm of feelings and emotions. Always wanting to go its own way and do its own thing. Or better yet, we can now choose to be led by the Spirit and live in total agreement with God.

Fortunately or unfortunately, our body pretty much follows our soul. If our soul is not renewed and controlled by our new God-given nature, then trouble will come into our lives and destroy our bodies. As in the Prodigal Son narrative, the soul is the older brother, so to speak, who thinks (is motivated) by the old religious nature. Our spirit is the younger brother who ultimately depends on the leading of the Spirit. For blessing to come, the older must bow to the younger. Jesus said you can’t put new wine into an old wineskin (Mark 2:22). At the moment of being born again, our soul is the old wineskin controlled by all its beliefs coming from our life and our cultural beliefs we were taught before the work of the cross. These are the natural carnal things of our ancestors that have been taught and lived out through us. These are the parts that need to be put to death and renewed by Jesus and the finished works He did on the cross. It is the old man, the old nature, the old mindsets, and the old belief systems that have to be torn down. Our ancestral and our cultural ways of life that are in opposition to God’s ways must be put to death so that we might be able to walk (live) in newness of life and live out our lives in our new Christ’s nature. In Philippians 3:13b (NKJV), Paul said, […] forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.

    Anatomy of Disease

The Lord Jesus said, […] pick up your cross and follow Me (paraphrased) (Matthew 16:24b, NKJV). This means there is going to be directional change and transformation in our relationship with God. Our way of thinking needs renewing so that we can be saved (SOZO body, soul, and spirit) and brought into union with the triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). It is a process allowing the Holy Spirit to bring all parts of us into agreement with our new Christ identity. By the way, our Lord and Savior doesn’t mind the process. He has made it clear to us that He has lots of time, and He likes the intimacy involved in getting us to know each other. Remember, He (God) lives outside of time. His clock is one with no second, minute, or hour hand. He is more than able to redeem time lost!

We may think that we are in agreement with Isaiah 53:4–5 and 1 Peter 2:21–24 that "by His stripes, we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5b, NKJV). But often, the pain and emotional hurt in our body and soul are yelling, "Nooooo, I’m not healed. The confusion produced by our life experiences and our buried hurts and unresolved issues is crying out, I am hurting, can’t you see?" The brokenness of our hearts is struggling to believe that God is that good. Adding to that, all the wrong teachings by the church only make it more difficult to receive.

In 1 John 3:21–22 (NKJV), it is written, "Beloved, if our heart [conscience] does not condemn us, we have confidence [courage] toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight." But in verse 20 (NKJV), it is said, For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

These would be confusing verses without a revelation of God’s goodness. Remember, whether we understand it or not, you have made a covenant, an agreement with the God of the universe, your Creator, your Father. That means He is on your side! As a born-again believer, you have all rights to live in a new kingdom! Your enemies (devils) have become His enemies.

If God be for you, who could be against us (Romans 8:31)? His [God’s] right hand finds all His enemies and burns them up in the fire of His wrath (paraphrased) (Psalm 21:8, NKJV).

In this age, God’s enemies are the spirits that have deposited lies in our hearts. Spirits that have set up strongholds that are designed to lead to destruction in our bodies, our minds, our ministry, our business, our family, and our relationships. Literally, everything and anything that would keep us from prosperity in every, or any, area of our life. These strongholds, from their point of conception, were set up demonically to develop patterns in our lives that would cause us to act unrighteously to life situations and put us on a life course of destruction and failure. Remember, Jesus said in Luke 12:47–48 that those who intentionally and knowingly do things contrary to God’s ways are going to suffer (be punished) greatly. Those who do wrong ignorantly will only suffer (be punished) a little.

    The Angry Enemy of Our

    Soul Wants Back Control

Our heart is the throne of Christ. It is where He is establishing His kingdom. It is just like the Israelites when they crossed the Jordan River into their Promised Land. Likewise, with Jesus, we will have some battles in order to take full possession of His kingdom within us. I have good news. The battle is the Lord’s, and the victory is ours. As quoted earlier in Psalm 21:8–9, He finds all His enemies with His powerful right hand and burns them up in the fire of His wrath. We don’t have to worry and stress about them because it is a personal thing for our God. Contrary to what the enemy tells you and, unfortunately, contrary to what many in historical religion have taught, He (Jesus) actually wants the victory more than we do. He wants more room in you! The bigger His territory on the inside of you gets, the bigger the territory on the outside of us gets. He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me (Psalm 18:19, NKJV).

Above all else guard your heart with all diligence for out of our heart comes or flows all the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23, NIV) (paraphrased). Unfortunately, most of us were not brought up in homes that had an understanding of spiritual principles. This usually resulted in us having more wrong attitudes than right attitudes. Because our forefathers didn’t have godly models, they weren’t taught what a godly father should be like. Because of not having a godly person to establish and teach the family good spiritual patterns for fatherhood, every generation tended to become more godless. Likewise, mothers didn’t always know how to nurture and teach. Parents weren’t usually messing up on purpose; they just weren’t taught properly… So rather than loving and nurturing us, because they didn’t know how to express love, each generation would normally release their pain on their children. And the pattern went on and on from generation to generation.

Life Trauma’s Effect on Our Bodies

We believe that the scripture teaches that our hearts and souls have buried the traumas and pains from all our dysfunctional relationships in different (various) parts of the body. The building up of all the hurt and pain stored in our bodies will eventually bring a harvest of sickness and disease in the various parts of the body where the pain was stored. That is why it is good to learn how to release the pain of these traumatic events as well as the emotional pain stored in our brains. It needs to be released out of our life to Jesus. It would have been really good if this process had been learned and practiced at an early age in our life. Unfortunately, for most, it wasn’t.

Life principle: When we become parents, our territory (area of authority) increases. We should have in our hearts a healthy desire to watch over and protect our children. Before Christ came into our lives, most of us didn’t understand how to rightly do this. It is so good that Jesus, our Savior, came and gave us a helper! We have need of Him.

Our generations, both now and those coming, are waiting for our transformation and for the transformation of our children’s children! The great cloud of witnesses mentioned in Hebrews 12:1 are there and cheering for us. Being in heaven, they now see the way life was meant to be, and they so desire a better life for their families on earth!

Some medical healers (doctors and teachers) say that X-rays of the brain show that brain cells of the sick and infirm have scars, lesions, and dark places on their brains, which they believe were caused by all the traumatic issues of life. Because these damaged brain cells no longer send healthy impulses to our bodies, they actually cause our bodies to malfunction, and if left unchecked, it will bring about infirmities.

Good news: However, the blood of Jesus provides our answer. Remember, Jesus said if we evict the strong man from our house (in this case, it includes our body), we can plunder his whole house. What God desires is that we have a clean heart and a pure conscience.

First Timothy 1:5 (NKJV) says that the purpose of the commandment of love is a pure heart, a clean conscience, and a sincere faith. From this verse and other similar verses, we believe that the Lord showed us that a pure heart and a clean conscience are one of the greatest gifts you can impart to someone.

    Again:

For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

    1 John 3:20–22 (NKJV)

Testimony: We had a twenty-three-year-old woman that we prayed for in a healing room. She had breast cancer and had lost all of her hair. By the time in that day’s meeting, when she reached us for prayer, the presence of God had already dissolved most of her tumors. Even with her body being healed when we released the blood of Jesus to take out all the pain and trauma in her heart, she began to weep like a baby. Later, when she left, she was reconnected with the truth of her God-given identity, and she was not only healed but had confidence that she was loved by the Lord. Being filled with joy and shalom, she not only looked and felt healthy but was filled with faith and hope, and she left praising God for His goodness!

    Chapter 2

    Understanding the

    Foundations of Healing

    Lord, give me an understanding

Heart, bless me with the mind of Christ

    Give me eyes to see

Let me move ahead step by step

Flood my soul with your goodness.

The importance of a godly imagination and how it aids in healing. Receiving godly imagination that may have been stolen by circumstances of life.

Receiving understanding of God’s authority given through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Proper understanding and receiving communion and its part in the healing process.

    Releasing Your God-Given Imagination

Three things we are hoping to release in this chapter. One: Allowing the Lord to use your imagination, two: to release your God-given authority, and three: releasing greater understanding of why communion is a viable part of healing.

Before we move into personally ministering to someone, we would like to clear up a couple of perceptions and misconceptions in the kingdom of God.

Many of us have been brought up in a culture where hurtful words from those in our influence groups have contributed to the taking away of our ability to feel loved, and they stymied our imagination, which hindered our ability to have God-inspired visions and/or dreams. Remember, the scripture says, "Without a vision, men will perish" (paraphrased) (Proverbs 29:18, Hosea 4:6, NKJV). It talks about how a lack of revelation from God’s inspired words and visions will ultimately lead to death and destruction.

From childhood, I, Max, have been a dreamer and one who has always had an active imagination. I often would be yelled at and told to quit all of my daydreamings, or I would be mocked by people saying, You’re always living in a dream world. Maybe you, too, were mocked and ridiculed for your way out there ideas. Or perhaps your artistic gift was stolen from you even before you started by a significant other or a parent that did not encourage you but rather scolded you for always being a daydreamer. Or perhaps you would imagine and see and act like you were dancing and/or playing an instrument or some other form of imagination. Even more hurtful is when you tried something new to you, and other children or significant people would say, You have no talent for that. Thus having your ability to fulfill your dreams literally stolen from you.

Today the Lord wants to restore not only our dreams we have but also to refill us with the divine ability to dream God’s dreams. He wants to inspire you with fresh vision and divine hope for all the gifting(s) the world took from us. The Lord wants to restore all the years that the locusts have stolen from you and multiply your lost time. During your journey into healing, we know God wants to take away the demonic visions and our dreams while sleeping that the enemy used in his plots. Plots that he gave to you that created a pattern of destruction in your life. The Lord wants us to dream the dreams of heaven. The enemy wants us to dream the dreams that will destroy us and our godly destiny. One dream will cause God’s goodness to manifest, and the other dream will cause us to fear destruction and bad consequences that might come into our life. (2 Corinthians 10:5, NKJV). We demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God…

This journey is the new beginning that many of you have longed for. This day could be your happy birthday! Your day of new beginnings. Our Good, Good Father wants you to walk in the newness of life that Jesus paid for.

Behold the Creator of the universe, the Master Artist! Imagine what Papa God was seeing in Genesis chapter 1. How He was looking at the vast empty blackness and void upon the face of what would be the earth before He laid the foundation (creation) of the heavens and earth. He imagined the universe, the earth, and everything in it even before it was formed by His words. He saw (imagined or knew) each one of us even before the beginning with Adam. All history to come was literally rolled out on the screen of His mind. He saw the trees, the birds, the animals, the fish, even the clouds. Literally, everything that was to exist. He imagined all the seeds and the fruitfulness that these seeds would produce on the earth. He saw the night and the stars sparkling on the background of what was blackness. He even knew that man (Adam) would sin. The scripture says He foresaw His Son crucified, even before the foundations of the world. The plan of redemption was already in place (in His imagination) before He even spoke a word of creation. He planned to create (mold) man and fashion (woman) in His image with the same likeness and God-given ability as Him. He planned to create with man.

When the dream of creation was conceived and was ready to be birthed, Father God stepped out, and with His voice, He thundered the beginning, "Light be!"

He spoke the Word(s), agreeing with His own imagination, and it was (Psalm 33:9). According to the Genesis account, within seven biblical days, the world began. Everything God spoke and created, He saw it and declared it. And He said, "It is indeed good [He was very pleased]! (Genesis 1:31) Knowing that God thinks that what is ours was very good from the beginning. Let’s take the lies of the enemy that the devil used to steal what God gave us. Those lies that the devil made a part of us, keeping us from knowing who we are.

Say: Jesus, I choose to give those lies to you ________. Now let’s choose to forgive those that you think took (robbed) your dreams from you________________! Tell Papa God how those people made you feel_________________, and how you were disappointed by them___________, or how you regretted (disliked yourself) for not going forward on all those things that your heart longed for______________________. Say: Jesus, I give all the pain and sorrow for the loss I felt to You __________________. Ask: "Abba, is there anything (a gift or new attitude) that You want to give me to help replace all that hurt _______________________? Lord, I ask You to cleanse those negative memories with the blood of Jesus ________________. Jesus, I choose to give You the pain and the pressure that was put on me to conform to the world’s ways _________________. I’m giving You all the stored grief, sorrow, regrets, and anger at myself_______________, and the disappointment in those who didn’t support and encourage me ____________. I’m letting all the hurt flow out of me, and I nail it on the cross ___________________. Holy Spirit, I’m asking You to give me new truth(s) of who I am____________________ and to connect my soul to the truths to empower me to be who I am ______________."

Now pause and meditate on the newness that God is putting in you.

    Redemption of Your Lost Authority

I had always felt like a prisoner of the circumstances in my life. My mind argued that I was a victim of life… and that I did not have a choice... Even after I accepted Jesus, I didn’t understand authority nor understand the concept that I did have a choice.

(In the Old Testament, Deuteronomy 30:19, God says we get to (can) choose life or death, blessing or cursing.) Because of my family history, my heart struggled with the concept that I could make a mistake and still be loved and accepted by Father God… I was ensnared by the lie that if I made wrong decisions, my Father God would not love me, and even worse, He would want to punish me, and He might even send me to hell. I would vow over and over not to make the same mistakes again, but no matter how hard I tried, I found myself on the same dead-end road repeating the things I said I wouldn’t do again.

To the glory of God, I finally grabbed on to the truth of grace. I learned that every sin, past, present, and future, was already paid for and forgiven. That we were, in fact, redeemed from our past, present, and future sins. Grace was "the bam" that changed my life! Because
