When It Is Your Season, It Is Your Season

About this ebook
When it is time for God to execute the plan He has for your life, He will orchestrate events, move circumstances, and implore people to act and to align with the plan He has for your life. There is a destiny that God has for you, and He is making sure that every event, every circumstance, every situation, and everyone involved in your life are all working together so that when it is all said and done, you will be exactly what God wants you to be.
This book gives you a picture that while Jesse and his sons were at the party that God told Samuel put together, David was out in the field tending to his father's sheep. Jesse proudly brought his seven sons before Samuel in hopes that one of them would be chosen as the next king of Israel. Samuel looked at each one of his seven sons, and even though they fit the external profile of a king, God told Samuel that the external appearance was not what identified them as king. There was one more--the eighth son--that has the internal approval to be king.
The one who was rejected was now the one who had to be retrieved as the candidate for the anointed presence of God. David represented the number of new beginnings. As the eighth son, he would bring something new to the nation of Israel. Saul was the people's king, but David was God's king, and God wanted to do something new and different for the nation of Israel.
Even though things appear not to be going your way, one thing is for sure. God is not shaken by the rejection of His people. His plans will still be fulfilled whether the people want to be a part of it or just sit on the sideline to observe it. God will show Himself faithful no matter what it appears.
Now that God has chosen you, you are now ready for the next season, dimension, and level of your life.
Now you do not have to be worried about your past because God has already examined and inspected your life. He has chosen you to move forward so that now His presence can be in your life, and you will be the example and testimony to others that when it is your season, it is your season.

To God be the glory! It has been a long process to complete this assignment, but thank God the time and season has come. The revelation for this book has been so inspiring that every time I review the contents, it brings something new to my mind and spirit. This book will allow everyone to find themselves somewhere in its pages. I want to first thank God for giving me the revelation and message for this book and the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirt that kept the revelation flowing.
I would like to also thank my wife, Pastor Kimberly E. Carr, for your constant and consistent encouragement and push for me to complete this project. Without your encouragement and confidence in my ability to make this happen, I would not have completed this assignment. You have been my best supporter and cheerleader throughout this entire process, and for that, I say thank you.
To my children who have always been there to encourage me to reach for success, you have been the reason for me to remain faithful and consistent in completing this project because I knew you would hold me accountable to my own words I say to you, Failure is not an option.
You gave me time to spend time with God to get this book done, and you did not complain about the time spent away from you. For your encouragement and trust in me as your father, I say thank you.
To my church family, you have been a great support as God has used some of the events that have transpired in the life of our church to help shape the direction of the revelation and to make this book come alive. God has blessed you to be with me throughout this entire process, and for that, I am eternally grateful. I would not be the pastor I am without faithful people such as you, and for that, I say to God be the glory!
Introduction
It is always amazing to see how people have become famous. When you look at them in their present state, it is always fascinating to discover where they have come from. It is most likely that the people that we know as famous have not always been famous. Everyone has had a beginning, and most beginnings have not always been as prosperous as what we see today. What is even more interesting is that most people, who have become famous, as we know them, will tell you that life has not always been as easy as it looks. Very few people have started out with a silver spoon in their mouth. Most people have had to go through struggles and obstacles to get to the place of prosperity.
I love watching television shows about people who have gone from what appears to be nothing to a life of lavish riches and success. There are countless people who have testimonies of how they have gone from not having anything to having everything. As I look at these people and hear their testimonies, I always look and listen for the point and time of turning. I look for what it was that made a difference in their lives. I always ask myself the question, What was it that turned their lives around?
Most times you can trace the turn around to one thing or one person or one incident that was the catalyst of their lives being changed forever.
Throughout history, we have seen people go from having nothing to having everything. We have seen people invent something that we are now using today. We have heard about stories of how there was a time in their lives when they had a dream of success, and someone saw them operating in their dream and discovered who they were, and now they are in a position of prosperity and success. We have heard of people tell their stories of when they were just standing minding their own business, and all of a sudden, someone discovered who they were and put their lives on the track to success.
Shows like American Idol, America's Next Top Model, and Sunday's Best are examples of individuals who started out as seemingly unknown and became known throughout the world. These shows give a picture of a succession of events that captured the minds and hearts of individuals who contributed their time and talent to their success. At the end of each show, one winner emerges and becomes the American idol, America's next top model, and Sunday's best. Before the show, no one knows who they are, and after the show, everyone knows who they are. In all three shows, there is one thing that captures the attention of either the judges or the audience that propels them to the next level. The one who becomes the winner, their lives take on a different meaning and a different direction.
I also like looking at church internet websites because I like to read the history of the church or the individual ministry to see where they started and how they got to the place they are at the present time. Most church websites have a place where you can go and view the history of the church and the pastor's biographical profile. What fascinates me the most is seeing what happened in the chain of events from the time the pastor either started the church or came to the church and brought it to its current situation.
In some cases, there is something that most people miss and cross over that was the turning point of the entire ministry and church. It is always amazing to find that one thing that turned the entire ministry around. As we know, it was God; however, I like to see what the people did that caused God to turn the ministry totally around. There are times when it was more than one thing, but in most cases, I have noticed that it was one thing that happened that turned everything around.
This is also true with some businesses. When I was in school, pursuing a business degree, one of the assignments that I had was to take a company that was failing and trace the history of the company to see what it was that the owner did to turn the company around. As I was searching the internet for the history of the companies I was assigned to research, I discovered that out of all the businesses that were failing, each company was different, and each owner did something different to turn the company around.
I discovered that there were many things each company did, depending on the company and the resources that were made available to them, and that whatever strategy they used turned out to be the right strategy they needed to turn the company around. Most of these companies are thriving and successful, but they had to go through some things in order to discover their success.
The focus of this book is to see how God can change anything, especially when it is the season for that person, church, or business. When it is the season for change, change will happen. When it is God's time to change the season, the season will change. In our human mind, we want to see that one thing and pursue that one thing. But the one thing is usually never what we estimate it to be. The one thing is what God views as the foundation and springboard which He uses to change the entire situation.
God knows what He is doing, and all things work together for the good of them that love God and are called according to His purpose
(Romans 8:28). Romans 8:28 is the foundation of understanding for all events that occur in our lives. Whether it is in business, our personal lives, or even the church, when it is God's time to change the season, we can rest assured and have confidence in the fact that when it is our season, it is our season.
God changes the season when He decides to change the season. Even though we may trace the change to a particular thing we have done, God will always change the season in His time so that no one or nothing can get credit or glory for the change but Him. When God changes the season, He changes it for our good and for His glory. Everything is working according to the plan, purpose, and will of God. God wants us to be steadfast and unmovable, continuing in the work of the kingdom until He changes, moves, and orchestrates the events in our lives to fall in line with the season He has planned, prepared, and purposed for our lives.
We cannot get discouraged and begin to sink in our faith. We have to keep in mind that when it is our season, it is our season. No matter what is going on at the time of the change in season, when God gets ready to change our season, it will change.
Chapter 1
A Season Previously Prepared
The reason for the season
What is so fascinating about how God works is that whenever He does something, He always has a purpose and plan for what He is doing. He never just does something and then moves on to the next thing He is getting ready to do without having a purpose and a plan. Everything God does He has already planned and mapped it out so that whatever He does fits into the plan and purpose He has for our lives.
This is why people who do not believe in God cannot figure God out. They cannot figure Him out because of the way He works. He does all things according to His will and purpose. If people really want to figure God out, the first thing they should do is read what God says about Himself. He has laid out His own biographical portfolio right before us that has been written over two thousand years before we even came on the scene. Everything God is doing to manage the affairs of the world and our lives is written in His book. There is no second-guessing, no wondering, and no pondering.
