I thought I was a good man for a long time. But I wasn’t. I drank too much, didn’t show my emotions except anger. Hell, my daughter never saw me sober until she was 13. I quit drinking for nine years but still wasn’t happy. I really didn’t know real life.

Then sixteen months ago, something amazing happened in my life. That amazing thing made me figure out. I could write, show my emotions, and the biggest thing was to give. Give myself, be my true self.

I started wearing my heart on my sleeve! It felt so good! I was happy with myself again! Happy with the decisions I had made.

My smirk turned to a true smile one that I hadn’t seen for decades. I had met someone that made me see me for me. Someone that truly brought out my happiness.

I’ve been told not to rely on someone else for your happiness. You can be happy as hell than meet someone that brings that happiness to a whole different level.

Is that relying on someone else. No!!

Now you know a different happiness one you crave. One you never want to let go of. One you have dreamed of!

But unfortunately one that can walk away!

But guess what! The smile I learned that I had. Is now hiding heartache! But that smile that she brought out of me will never leave. For I know my smile makes other people feel better. Even if my heart is broken and my smile is fake! I will smile and keep writing!

Even if I’m alone! Those 16 months showed me what true love was! For if my smile and my writings help one person, my life on Earth has been completed. As long as I can make others happy! I will until God comes to get me!

I can smell your body next to mine

I can feel your lips against mine

I can feel your kisses on my chest

I can feel your hands search my body

I can feel your breast

beneath my hands

I can feel the silence as our

bodies intertwine

I can feel the happiness our

hearts share as one

I can feel the tears as we say goodbye until next time

These are greatest gifts

feelings a man can receive

from a woman in life.
