About this ebook
A purr-fectly planned tea party leads me on an ominous quest to unmask a killer in Willowbrook, where crumpets and murder collide.
Unexpectedly returning to my eerie hometown, Willowbrook, I find a dark underbelly of bad business and good lies have been concealed.
I randomly inherit Blue Manor and its secrets, which turns me and my cat Whiskers into amateur sleuths.
James, the cute town detective, welcomes me to town. At the same time, he receives a call that crumbles the plot of one killer and reveals another.
Now I'm entangled in a deadly dance where the clues are steeped in the shadows. And the stakes heighten when a delectable tea party becomes my gateway to a deadly dance of pastries and deceit.
Torn between the allure of James and my knack for finding clues, unmasking the sinister plot becomes a race against time.
Navigating a labyrinth of tasty treats and twisted clues, trust seems a luxury and the line between friend and foe blurs.
Failure means more than just spilled tea—if I don't solve the case, I might never see Whiskers or James again…

Willowbrook.
Always so enchanting,
I say as I drive up my old street at dawn. Nestled against the striking Blue Mountains, my hometown never got bigger than 1,000 people.
The fresh air and breathtaking views from the mountains could have convinced me to come back to this little town. Inheriting one of the only two manors ever built in Willowbrook on the same day I got dumped after a two-year relationship made the offer irresistible.
After coming to a stop in front of the huge iron gate, I switch the car's ignition off.
This is us, Whiskers. This is our new home,
I say to him as I look over at the passenger's seat. Whiskers, my 10-year-old tabby cat, looks up from his sleeping position. He then continues to glance out the passenger window, then at me. I have always felt that Whiskers understands me in some way. It is as if we have a special connection to each other.
Sitting before the gate of our new home, I feel an even more intense connection with Whiskers as he stares into my eyes.
Willowbrook sure is magical
as I gaze into the perfectly kept shrubbery.
Mr. Reynolds, the groundskeeper of Blue Manor, left the keys in the old postbox next to the gate. I unlock the gate and touch the heavy frames to open the gate.
Murder!
What?
I look up jerking my hands toward my chest.
Did I just hear someone speak or is it
