I've always envisioned two of my thrillers as potential blockbuster movies. These books were crafted with a brisk pace, leaving room for readers to paint their own mental landscapes as the events unfolded. However, when the opportunity to turn these novels into movie scripts presented itself, I found myself in uncharted territory as an author and the parent of these literary creations.
Being honest, the process of distilling the essence of the stories into a script was agonizing. It felt like dismantling what I believed made the books valuable and compelling. Simultaneously, I was unaware of the intricacies of the modern filmmaking world. While I don't claim to know everything about it, nor do I wish to, I've entrusted the professionals to handle that part. However, as an Author Advocate, it felt essential to share some insights with fellow authors about what they might encounter in this process, even in a concise manner.
Hence, From Page to Screen: A Comprehensive Guide to Turning Your Book into a Blockbuster
came to life, structured in my signature short blog chapter style for easy reading and comprehension. I sincerely hope this book proves valuable to you. If you decide to embark on the journey of turning your exceptional book into a movie, I encourage caution and plenty of legal guidance along the way.
