About this ebook
What will you do when a night of vengeful passion leads to a perilous mystery?
"If you're seeking a racy romp for simple dripping pleasures, this book was written just for you. If you're interested in a deep exploration of Sherlock Holmes reminiscent of the original character told in an epic style, you may be disappointed. Just sayin'." ~Liz
The grand masquerade is in full swing, the ballroom alive with laughter and the rustle of silk. I glide through the crowd, my heart pounding with delight. The air is thick with the scent of roses and the flickering candlelight casts shadows on the walls.
I ascend the staircase to our bedroom. Behind the closed door is the sound of hushed voices and stifled moans. My heart catches in my throat as I push open the door and witness my husband, entwined in a scandalous ménage à trois with two mysterious women. The betrayal cuts deep.
Again.
Fury and heartache propel me back to the ballroom, where I am drawn to a man disguised as Sinbad. His dark eyes hold a promise of solace, and I find myself unable to resist his magnetic pull. He lures me into my husband's private office, and as I surrender myself to him, I am enveloped in a whirlwind of passion.
Sinbad's kisses are like a balm to my wounded soul, his embrace a sanctuary from the storm raging within me. We connect on a level I have never experienced before, our hearts beating in unison, our breaths mingling as one. The night unfolds in a haze of passion, and for a brief moment, I am able to forget the betrayal that has shattered my world.
When I awaken from my tryst, I am met with a chilling revelation.
My husband's safe lies open.
Panic rises within me, and I know that I must seek answers.
Desperate for the truth, I turn to the one man who can help me unravel this tangled web of deceit: the renowned detective, Sherlock Holmes.
Warning: Contains F/m, M/f/f, and lustful masked men. Do not read while letting your doctor take your blood pressure as the results of your throbbing pulse may be higher than normal.

Costume Ball
The company of Mr. Herbert Hoffmeister is requested at the Mansion House on Thursday afternoon, September 21, 1893, at 5 o’clock.
—Invitation to the Lord Mayor’s Fancy Dress Ball
Being seduced by a masked stranger was the last thing Elizabeth, wife of the lord mayor of London, expected to happen at the fancy dress ball that evening. Never in her dreams did she think the evening event would lead to such a succulent experience.
She glanced out the doorway. The dwindling afternoon sun provided the light needed for late guests to climb the front steps and arrive through the portico.
In her mind, the Mansion House of London was well-suited for hosting the fancy dress ball. Being the wife of the lord mayor had its perks.
Her husband’s fencing teacher, Herbert Hoffmeister, approached her dressed as a baker, his face caked with flour. Have you seen your husband?
Heaven knew where that man was.
I’m sure Lord Mayor Warren is around here somewhere.
She smiled, hoping her fondness at the very mention of her husband appeared authentic.
Very well.
He adjusted his tall chef’s hat. I wanted to confirm our appointment tomorrow.
He drifted away deeper into the bustling Egyptian Hall, the high-ceiling banquet room. The room held a mezzanine lined with guests looking down upon the sea of other guests, all dressed in costumes of bright colors. Guests dressed as pirates, military, and jesters. There were a few Marie-Antoinettes, Watteau shepherdesses, and Napoleons. Some dressed as seasons — snowy winters, colorful autumns, and green springs.
The five musicians played a piece by Bach, and many guests danced in the center of the room.
She glanced at the front doorway. Her dear friend, Anna, had arrived at the ball. Elizabeth gasped with joy, hastened to Anna, and kissed her cheek.
Let me take a look at your costume, Anna,
she said.
Anna wore a turquoise mermaid outfit with a splendid tail and a daring top that left little to the imagination. Her lipstick was a brighter shade of red than she was used to seeing her friend wear and complimented the turquoise beautifully.
How lovely!
she said to her friend.
Anna grabbed her arms and leaned back, evaluating her genie costume, her hands warm and gentle.
You look scrumptious,
Anna said. Where did you find such beautiful lavender cloth for the pants and chemise?
Coincidence, really. Father Rowen needed assistance with clearing out the attic at his church. As I moved the items, I came across a chest of various fabrics, including this. He let me have it to express his gratitude for my help.
A couple of drool-worthy pirates nodded their greeting as they passed carrying glasses of sparkling wine, momentarily distracting her.
Anna grinned. Your costume is splendid, Elizabeth. It’s so sheer I can almost see through it, then everyone could see these.
She squeezed Elizabeth’s breasts.
Elizabeth pulled back laughing, her nipples startled by the attention. Anna!
She had half a mind and twice the hankering to do the same to her friend. Oh, before I forget, I have a magnificent orange dress I think would fit you perfectly. It’s in the bedroom. Follow me.
She grabbed Anna’s hand and brought her
