Chapter 1: City of the Vampires

After the battle with the King of Death, Christine, Matt, and William are teleported to an old city shrouded in fog.

'Where have we ended up?' Christine wonders.

'It was a trap by the king. Damn it, we were so close to defeating him,' Matt says angrily.

William sees a shadow atop the church.

'Look, what's that?'

A figure flies and lands beside them.

'How interesting. The King of Death sent us some sacrifices to feed on their blood,' the vampire says. 'Come, my vampire brethren, and behold your meal.'

From behind the buildings emerge a hundred people who turn out to be vampires.

'It's been a while since the King of Death sent us some food,' another vampire remarks.

The vampires attack the three, but Christine teleports herself and her siblings onto a building.

'They have superpowers. This isn't fair.'

Christine uses her wand to attack, but it runs out of energy.

'Damn it.'

All the vampires transform into bats and swarm them. William, still in his werewolf form from the fight with the King of Death, assists Christine and Matt to escape but gets severely injured. He shelters the two in a building and collapses, unconscious. The vampires capture him, biting his hand and leg. Matt transforms into a bat and approaches the group of bats.

Leave my brother alone, Matt says.

You're still a vampire. And the King of Death sent us as food? Welcome to our family, the vampire leader says joyfully.

I already have a family. I'm not a part of your group. I came to help my brother.

You mean this werewolf is your brother?

Yes.

Impossible. Vampires and werewolves are in a deadly war. He can't possibly be your brother.

But he is. And I won't let you harm him.

Understood. You're a traitor. Attack him.
