An unknown person (the unknown person from the end of the story 'The Robbers') shoots a gun into a book. A man dressed in a red suit emerges from the book, with dragon horns attached, three on each shoulder.

In the city of Bloodbone, a small town located 1700 km away from Libertis. In the town live two brothers: Matt and William, along with their sister, Christine. The three of them hide a secret from the people of Bloodbone. Christine is a witch who possesses a magic wand with which she can perform spells. Matt is the eldest brother who is a vampire that withstands sunlight and can transform into a bat. Matt is a vampire who hasn't yet discovered his powers. William is a werewolf, but he only transforms at night or when he is constantly angry. The three of them live with their father, who is a vampire-wolf. He can transform into a wolf in the morning and at night. Their mother was a witch who always helped people, but when they found out that she was a witch, the people set her on fire. The witch's husband began to hate people because his wife had done so much for the people of Bloodbone, and they thanked her by burning her at the stake. One day, Christine is practicing and is seen by Matt.
