About this ebook
Peter Warlock is a magician with a dark secret. Every night, he amazes audiences at his private theater in New York, where he performs feats that boggle the imagination. But his day job is just a cover for his otherworldly pursuits: Peter is a member of an underground group of psychics who gaze into the future to help prevent crimes.
No one, not even his live-in girlfriend, knows the truth about Peter—until the séance when he foresees an unspeakable act of violence that will devastate the city. As Peter and his friends rush to prevent tragedy, Peter discovers that a shadowy cult of evil psychics, the Order of Astrum, know all about his abilities. They are hunting him and his fellow psychics down, one by one, determined to silence them forever.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I was underwhelmed by this book. Its got an interesting premise, and the potential to be a great story. But over and over again, I kept thinking that everything that happned with the characters was just too convenient and too ideal, from the depth of their character, to the way they "defeated" the evil in the story. I read this story very quickly, and I have to say it was written in a way that pulled you along to see what would happen next. I just wish the characters and the situations they were in felt more realistic.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This story could have had potential had its author not tried to cram 25 different genres into one poorly written book. I'm not sure why I finished it because I sure didn't care about it.I'm actually shocked this was published with the writing in the state its in. Mr. Swain was truly betrayed by an editor who clearly could have cared less about helping writing the really cool book this could have been. So, mildly entertaining in a pure mind candy sort of way, but mostly just dreadful (and not in a pulp fiction ironic kind of way). Don't bother.
