PRAISE FOR THE WHIMSY OF DANK JU-JU
‘I love a poet who loves language and Sascha Aurora Akhtar most certainly does. Each line of her poetry is a journey into the unknown as she manoeuvres her way around words and rearranges them into new verbal experiences of fascination and delight. There is nothing predictable to hold onto as she casts her magic across the page with assurance and addictive exuberance. Akhtar may draw on external experiences but essentially she inhabits language to create new experiences and new realities. Fabulous.’ Geraldine Monk
