About this ebook
Lovelorn Ezra is firmly entrenched in his holiday funk when Brant, a knight in shining swimming trunks who, as a camp counselor, rescued him from loneliness at summer camp two decades earlier, unexpectedly walks back into his life. Brant was his first major crush and has been his fantasy lover ever since.
Now that they’re both consenting adults and unattached, is it time to make his move? Should he?

Dr. Robert's life story reads very much like some of his novels. A rock 'n roll run-a-way at thirteen, he has travelled the world extensively in many professions. Blessed with many talents, Dr. Robert spent just over two decades as a performer in the music industry, before becoming an entrepreneur and creator of both audio and video productions. He holds a Bachelors in A/V and a Masters in Science Business Administration. After a major heart attack in 1998, Dr. Robert ceased his business activities, began his current career as a novelist, and also began his Doctorate in Philosophy, which he graduated in 2005 at sixty years of age. Additionally, he holds a 16 year US patent for an 'improved computer game controller', which is soon to be launched. Having started out writing a post-apocalyptic situation comedy series for television, he is now well past his millionth word of fiction.

Yule Meet Again
By Robert James
‘Twas the night before Christmas
And, strange as it seems,
Just twelve yards away
Stood the man of my dreams
He’s standing over there.
Where?
Near the Pixar display at the end of the aisle; don’t look.
Why not?
Leah was breathing audibly, in that way that warned me that she could blow at any moment.
Just don’t,
I said.
Don’t you want me to see him?
Okay,
I said. You can’t see him now. You can look.
Why would I want to look if I can’t see him?
Sorry, my bad.
Leah put her hand on my shoulder. Her fingernails were alternately painted red and green, in the spirit of the season I assumed, with a few random squiggly silver lines on some of them. And she had quite a strong grip. It was a test of wills; how long could I pretend that she wasn’t hurting me?
Nice nails,
I said, trying hard not to wince.
Really? I think I botched the job a little bit,
she said. My question didn’t cause her to remove her hand from my shoulder. And I thought you hated Christmas.
She pressed a little harder.
Who told you that?
My lips were pursed.
You did,
she said. Yesterday, and last week, and last year at this time when you broke up with Matthew.
That was two Christmases ago.
My, how time flies, Scrooge.
Not fast enough,
I said. And to be fair, the Christmas before that I was in the hospital with a broken leg, and the Christmas before that I was stuck in the Denver airport for forty-eight hours. Should I go on?
No,
she said.
I can hate Christmas and still admire your Yuletide nails.
Christmas is not your favorite holiday, I get that, and I acknowledge the fact that it is for a very good reason. But this is the year everything’s going to change, Ezra.
You don’t know that.
I have an intuition,
she said, and finally relaxed her grip. And you know all about my intuitions.
Just tell me when it’s January 1,
I said.
Will do,
she said. Now can I look?
I ignored her question. Couldn’t you just say thank you for the compliment?
Your compliment was so long ago that I don’t even remember it.
Your beautiful nails,
I prompted.
Thank you,
she said with a
