About this ebook

I am so screwed…

When my brother's best friend shows up at my vacation cottage to warn me about a violent incoming storm, I think it's pretty sweet of him. Then he gets stranded with me…with no power.

Okay, that's fine. We're friends—sort of. I mean, I've known him for fifteen years.

Then he suggests a game of Truth or Dare. And I agree.

Big mistake. The game's about to get wild, and secrets will be revealed—secrets like…I'm a virgin and he's into spanking.

But hey, what could possibly go wrong?

Yeah…totally screwed.

    Chapter One

Never be overconfident. I should have that tattooed on my hand. Or maybe my forehead. No, not my forehead. I need to see it all the time.

Really, overconfidence isn’t usually my problem—well, unless it’s in a subject I’m really well-versed on. And I never thought I’d get in so deep, playing a game of Truth or Dare. And what was I doing playing that with my brother’s best friend? We’re too old for high school games. But it was storming, we were alone and the power had gone out an hour ago. I’d lit an emergency lantern in here and in my room, but the light they threw was minimal, not really enough to do anything.

So here we were… I’d come out to my parents’ lake cottage for some alone time to write, and Brax had come to check on me when he’d heard the storm was rolling in today. Then he’d gotten stuck when it had kicked up.

I stared at him as lightning flashed outside, the streaks visible through the windows behind him. The hair on my arms stood on end, the electric charge in the air telling me the storm was on us—but was it the weather or my proximity to this man? The weather, I decided. After fifteen years, I was immune to this guy who’d been my older brother’s friend since I was ten and they were thirteen.

Truth or dare? he asked again.

    Truth… I
