About this ebook
He's buff. He's Sexy. He's shy as heck.
Dixon
As a cover model, I've got a face and chest known around the world. By romance readers. But my photographer's new assistant isn't impressed. And let's talk about beautiful. And she's my ex. I'll have to let my silent smolder speak for itself, because I may be on novel covers, and breaking into movies, but conversation is beyond me. Still, I'll have to figure this out. I want her back!
Aurora
It's not that I'm unimpressed. What girl wouldn't admire all that lean, hard muscle covered with warm, very touchable skin? And that's the problem. That's always been my problem. I don't like that women around the world drool over Dixon. I don't like it at all. I just want him to put on a shirt. ASAP!

Chapter One
~ Aurora ~
This could not be happening!
From the middle of the photo studio, my past glared at me while he was supposed to be making love to the camera snapping away at him. I froze with my arms full of a delivery. What was he doing here? I hadn’t seen his name on the schedule.
I mean…really. What was he doing here? I would have called in sick if I’d known…
And that was my answer. Everyone, even my boss, thought I’d been crazy when I’d broken up with the guy three years ago. After all, I’d been dating the hottest, sweetest man who’d ever existed. Faithful, thoughtful, perfect, an unbelievable lover… He was all of those and more.
Then, I’d broken up with him.
That’s why everyone thought I was insane. I wasn’t. I had my reasons. Very good reasons. And eight of them were naked and rippling on his abdomen just like usual. Dixon Bertelli was still ripped and still posing shirtless for the ogling pleasure of romance readers and moviegoers around the world. After four years, you’d think they’d get tired of his supernaturally beautiful face and unbelievably sculpted muscles. Nope. He was everywhere. On covers, in magazines, in ads, on the silver screen…in my boss’s studio glaring at me.
Pretending not to see him, I headed over to the shelves where we stored the extra lighting equipment. The weight of Dixon’s stare followed me. Good lord, time hadn’t made him any less mouthwatering. From his dark brown eyes to his near-black locks, he was the thing thirst traps were made of. It made me glad I’d touched up my hair to hide the grays that had sprouted recently. I was thirty-damn-three. I’d thought I’d have another decade before I had to be besties with Ms. Clairol. Nope. I bet Dixon didn’t need to color that lush mane of his.
Whatever. It didn’t matter. We weren’t together. He was a rising star in the entertainment industry, and I was a girl trying to pick up her pieces and remake her life after my career had crashed and infernoed.
Which meant I needed to get back to my office. I had invoices and orders to process. And if I got fired for slacking off, I wouldn’t be able to pay my own bills. Yippee.
Aurora, babe, can you run over to Star B’s and get me an iced Americano? No sweetener or milk. Doing the keto again.
I nodded, without glancing that direction. Sure thing, Charlie.
My boss, the photographer, was always doing keto, but it worked for him. Combined with his workouts, he was almost as ripped as Dixon. If he wasn’t my closest friend’s brother, I might have been interested in him, but I’d known him since childhood, so nope. He also had a few years on me and treated me like his little sister.
Or assistant slave, depending on the day.
You need a coffee or something, Dixon? Aurora can grab it for you.
I need a break,
Dixon growled, ignoring the question.
"Okay… But it’s been like…fifteen minutes," Charlie protested, clearly annoyed. He hated interruptions or delays.
And?
Oh… The four years Dixon had been in the industry had changed him. Kinda made me glad I wasn’t a part of that anymore. When he’d first been discovered,
