About this ebook

Unlock the Mysteries of Music and Spirituality with "Yogini in My Music".

Have you ever wondered where music and spirituality intersect?

Step into the extraordinary world of Nadhamuni Gayatri Bharat, an Indian musician who lives a life where these two realms seamlessly merge.

In this captivating memoir, you'll explore the hidden chapters of her life, guided by a revered Indian mystic known as the "Siddha Purusha" and a divine Yogini.

"Yogini in My Music" is a profound journey through the mystical experiences that have shaped Gayatri's life. At the heart of her narrative is the intense personal connection she's forged with her preferred deity through her music, guided by the divine Yogini.

Her journey unfolds in three compelling parts:

  • The Childhood Years: Discover how Gayatri was raised under the mystic Seer's guidance and granted a remarkable "siddhi", a divine gift that elevates her music to a transcendent state, connecting her with the divine in unprecedented ways.
  • The Struggle and Awakening: Gayatri's story takes a twist as she grapples with worldly pursuits. When faced with life's challenges, she chooses to renounce her earthly desires and attachments, embarking on a rigorous "sadhana" to rekindle the bestowed "siddhi".
  • A Spiritual Odyssey: In the final stage, Gayatri candidly shares her spiritual journey, delving into mystical encounters, spiritual insights, and deep concepts like consciousness, self-awakening, tantra, and self-realization.

"Yogini in My Music" is a memoir that introduces you to a world where music isn't just a performance but a profound spiritual journey. It's a must-read for those passionate about Indian classical music, Hindu philosophies, spirituality, rituals, and the lives of Indian musicians.

We offer our Humble obeisances unto Lord Sri Krishna, whose transcendental form is Truth, Knowledge, and Bliss personified. He is the cause of the creation, maintenance and destruction of the universe and the destroyer of the three types of miseries.

Oh our mind!! Let us recite the great name of Swami Ramanuja which is the easiest and greatest and the one which can give both Drishta and Adhrishta Phalam. Scholars who had learnt all four Vedaas and shaastra failed to realize the supreme power and took refuge at the feet of Swami Ramanuja. One who gave his entire life to the lotus feet of Swami Nammazhwar, who rendered mouthfuls of praise for the lord who bears the lotus dame Lakshmi on his chest and also followed his footsteps in experiencing the divine Anubhavam. Let us take refuge at the lotus feet of this Swami Ramanuja who was praised by all the great scholars of shaastra.

    H.h. Pujyasri. Nadhamuni Narayana Ayyangar

H.H. Nadhamuni Narayana Ayyangar (Nana ji) was a mysterious mystic. Once, when I asked him about His Guru, He didn’t directly answer me. I was present in his Pooja room, a close disciple of his visited him at that time. Nana ji told him to have his dinner with Him. When the visiting friend said he is in Upavasa on Fridays, for Lord Narasimha, Mama told him, Don’t worry, I will tell your Narasimha. He won’t mistake you. Have your dinner, stay with me tonight and you can leave tomorrow morning. Regarding His Guru, like Dattatreya, He had several Gurus. First and foremost, I can think of Shri J Swamigal, whose instructions he would meticulously follow. There are several instances. Similarly Swami Ritajananda of Sri Ramakrishna Mutt. Swamiji has guided Him for several mystical tasks. There are many. In the course of our lengthy conversations, He had narrated many incidents concerning men and matters. He would underline the morale from each person’s life. How can you explain a Vaishnava having a statue of Lord Siva in his Bhajan Hall? To me He is God in disguise"

    - H. Ramakrishnan, disciple, popular newscaster, carnatic musician, konnakol artist & a journalist.
