    The Book

    Matthew 10:32 NIV

32 "Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will

also acknowledge before my Father in heaven."

God is so trusting. I have experienced many times in my life where God has positioned me in a way to receive something new. Whether that be coming to know Jesus, reading The Bible or with this book, for instance. God has shown me that he rewards faithfulness with freshness. Being faithful in committing my time to the Lord and serving others has blessed me to such a full extent, and this book has been no different. While writing hasn’t come without its challenges or financial commitments, it has been so life-giving, and I am so excited to see where he will lead this.

Since sharing my testimony on screen at church, I have had such a burning desire to share it in full because I knew it could genuinely bless so many, but I never knew how. While I was not expecting God to lead me to write a memoir of my 19 years of life, I am so glad that he did. Having such a unique opportunity to follow the Holy Spirit through something unfamiliar is so cool! While it has been a vulnerable experience, sharing my story has been such a Joy. This book has fast-tracked my relationship with Jesus like nothing else. Revisiting all my past hurts and trials has helped me find new provision and knowledge in each battle Jesus has allowed me to close the chapter on. Every day, I feel my love and appreciation for him grow, and I know that while my testimony is for others, I am reaping the rewards, too.

This book feels like a David and Goliath story. God uses someone whose skills and qualifications would be deemed insufficient, not only to call the seemingly regular and overlooked, to qualify them through his ability, but so he can also display how mighty and powerful he truly is.

Seeing God work within something he’s asked me to do is so rewarding. Not only because I’m living within his will but because he knows I choose to do this for His glory, and he’s happy to help me follow through until completion and also helps to make it flourish. He loves seeing his children prosper, which makes me so happy.

    Faith Found In

    The Firing Line

    2 Corinthians 1:8-10 NIV

8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters,

about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We

were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so

that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt we had received

the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely

on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered

us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On

him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us.

Faith and religion have never been foreign to me. I grew up in a household where religion was not a regular topic of discussion. However, I remember attending church with my mum’s side of the family as a young girl and always knew that when the holidays rolled around, such as Easter and Christmas, they existed because of Jesus. Eternity was something I was fascinated with. While I loved talking about heaven with my mum, as a child, I couldn’t fully grasp the concept of something more than the simplicity I was familiar with.

At a catholic primary school, I learnt about the fruits of the Holy Spirit and the story of Noah’s ark. While these seem like basic teachings now, it’s a great reminder that there always needs to be a start to growing your faith and knowledge of the Bible, and this happened to be mine. As I grew up, I started to remember times as a child when my mum was instilling faith and hope into my life.

As the end of 2017 drew near, I was invited to Youth. Little did I know, this was an answer to prayer for my Mother and Grandmother.

I went, and I immediately fell in love with the community. I would catch the train every Friday after school and spend hours in the dance studio at church, choreographing routines with my friends to perform at Youth Events while waiting for Youth to start. I loved having somewhere to go on a Friday night. I began to learn that there is more to life than we see. I found so much Joy in worship!

Then, a few years later, 2019 arrived. This year was filled with many struggles. My parents decided to separate, and that was a journey within itself. There was a lot of uncertainty for many months, and I experienced immense emotional turmoil for an extended period
