Namaste;
And Welcome To
The Oasis of Sacred Fire
This book is about my journey; how I lived, what I’ve learned and how much I’ve loved along the way; thanks to Blessed Spirit and Beloved Faith.
I, like every other traveler, am a work in progress and throughout this narrative, there are accounts of self discovery and relationships on every level; still I have so much more to learn. Through the love of God, I am sure I will continue to be sustained by grace.
From the time I was a child, spirituality has been a major factor in my life; beginning with the early influences of my religious upbringing, to the experiences handed to me by just living; culminating with the knowledge I’ve gained through the practice of Reiki and my work as an Interfaith minister.
In order to tell my story, it is important that I share the stories of others. The relevance of which is how our connected-ness, both positive and negative, affected the outcome of these lessons.
The following pages are my reflections of noteworthy events throughout my life, from the spiritual to the philosophic, from the mundane to the celestial; these memories are exquisitely poignant and at times even romantic.
In short, this is about my spiritual pilgrimage; my baptism by Sacred Fire.

Sacred Fire: Energy Healing/Universal Love
. . . (Ashe, Rei-ki, Chi, Prana) are all forms of energy derived from Goddess/God, and all similar forces of nature are archetypes within the self. Because of this, our body is not separate from the body of the Universe, nor are we separate or apart from Wholeness (the Divine) or other living things. Love is the connecting force of All.
These healing techniques are based on the principle that one can channel energy into another by means of touch, or as in my case, with the power of words and their impact on the natural healing processes of the patient’s mind, body and spirit to restore physical and emotional well-being.
Sacred Fire encompasses all of these forms of Life Force Energy. Energy Healing, refers to using this Spiritually guided Life Force Vibration for Self Awareness, Empowerment and Transformation, and is used to Heal virtually every known Dis-Ease as well as past Emotional wounds.
When past emotional wounds are not dealt with, the pain and the memories of that pain (trauma) can have an adverse effect that could last forever. If you are able to heal from the experience, it won’t undo the event(s) or mean that it never happened. It will however, enable the part of you that was once broken to have peace and become whole again.
One of the ways this is done is through balancing the chakras:
seven major energy centers
or that run along the spinal column and are connected to different organs and glands throughout the body, through which life-force
energy is distributed.
Keep in mind, whichever chakra you focus on the most will dictate your thoughts and have the greatest influence over your life. The 1st chakra is red and is at the base of your body. It is the beginning of your carnal plane and governs our ability for sexual self control as well as feelings of trust, security and the natural flow of life. The 2nd chakra is orange and is located just below the navel and impacts what you enjoy in life, influences your ability to express your sexuality, the female reproductive organs and honors the union of masculine and feminine energies. The 3rd is yellow and is located at the solar plexus and deals with intelligence on a physical realm (your gut
).
The 4th chakra is at the heart and can be rose colored or green and governs agape love (the ability to love unconditionally and experience compassion at the highest level. The 5th is at the throat and is blue. This chakra is associated with the throat, and dictates how we express ourselves, giving voice to our truth and fearlessly communicating our emotions. The 6th is in the center of the forehead and is violet and governs the 3rd eye (psychic connections and the ability to be in touch with your spiritual self). When the energy flows properly through the body tho the 6th chakra, it then reaches the 7th chakra, which is purple or white and is located at the crown of the head. It connects us to the Creator, and with your higher self, thereby releasing attachment to suffering and worldly things.
I find meditation most useful by simply imagining each chakra as a flower bud in its corresponding color and concentrate on the strengthening of each chakra. I then imagine each bud slowly opening; developing itself and me more beautifully whole. Channeling Sacred Fire
helps to bring Balance and Harmony on all levels, Transmutes Negative Energy to that of the Highest Good and Manifests Healing and Abundance in all areas of Life. In using this sacred energy, it is most important to know that we are merely conduits allowing ourselves to be used for the higher purpose of helping one another and ourselves. In order for this to happen we must relinquish our egos and realize that we are not in control. The secret is in setting your intentions about the desired situation then letting go of the outcome. The more focused you are on the problem, or the urgency with which you believe it requires, the longer it will take for a resolution to manifest. You must allow the energy to flow in and through you, in order for it to do what it does because we allow it, not because we force it.
All things are some form of energy. Our impression of the world is through the realm of our physical, spiritual, mental and emotional experiences. These and everything else that exists does so on some energetic level. Everything; including disease (Dis-Ease) and its most common ally, Hatred.
It is terribly easy to mistakenly think that the way to eradicate any negative is by overpowering it with sheer might. Remember, even illnesses mutate in an effort to survive. Hatred is only Fear fighting for its life.
The only way to Conquer Fear, which is also Dis-Ease is with Love. It is all Energy.
What you must do is Transmute the Negative Energy to Positive.
This is the Goddess’s energy and we are merely vessels given the task if we so choose, of healing the world; one life at a time.
Because it is Divine energy, there are no limits or boundaries; therefore we should not set them. Why would you limit the Unlimited?
One cannot underestimate the authority that having this ability entrusts in them.
Your love and kindness to others is the most powerful weapon on this earth. When someone is forgiven they become completely disarmed and something as simple as
a smile can be tremendously Healing.

Sacred Fire and The Self
We have this moment only.
Yesterday is the past;
wherein we may learn from our mistakes
in order that we may heal
from circumstances that brought us pain
and perpetuate dis-ease and suffering.
However, Tomorrow is but a dream.
We have this moment only,
fleeting and transient ~
to seize the opportunity
that could alter the course of our lives
and fill tomorrow’s vision
with promises of wonders untold.
Sacred Fire: Opening Yourself To Divine Love
Spirituality
Religion is like a chalice which is used to serve the refreshing water of Spirituality.
And just as water assumes the shape of the container into which it’s been poured, so does a religion take on the shape of its cultural vessel . . its people.
So much so, until it’s often difficult to determine which of the two actually came first.
For religion is rooted in culture and tradition and therefore cannot help but reflect a heritage.
However, spirituality is universal. It takes on many forms and has been absorbed by every civilization; each being as legitimate as each individual’s perception of their own relationship with God and nature.
But a zealot is incapable of seeing things this way. Yet it takes only a moment in a severe storm to observe that rigidity in nature will only yield disaster.
The Spirit of God reflects a perfect balance between firmness and flexibility. For although it is comprised of truth; the essence of conviction, it also possesses the ambidexterity to adapt to the needs as well as the circumstances of each individual.
And it does so without compromising its integrity or contradicting its message.
The Spirit possesses the unique ability to allow us to recognize and accept its Universal Love in a way that speaks directly to our inner selves; and by so doing, also fulfills the purpose for which it was given.
And so it is for us, as stewards of this faith, to pass our chalices on to all who are willing to accept it.
Some may find our vessels to their liking while others may ask that we pour its contents into a bowl, gourd or some other receptacle that might indicative of whom they are or where they’re from.
And it must be with grace and love that we pour from our cups into that which is being offered to receive our Sacred gifts, so that others too, might find their individual paths to Peace, Truth and Divine Love.
For Spirituality, like Love, should be shared . . .
and contained for that purpose only.
Life Force Energy
I first became aware of chi or ki when I was about 12 years old, by watching my father, a black belt in karate, teaching his students at the dojo. At home, when he wasn’t practicing on his sax, he could often be found in the backyard toughening up his hands by either doing push ups on rocks or breaking bricks with his fists or open hands.
Once, while observing him, I casually asked him how he did it. He explained to me that it was all about concentration as well as mental and physical discipline. I then inquired about the sound he made when striking an object. That, my boy is called a kiai it helps you to release energy.
One day while alone one Saturday afternoon, I wandered to the place in the yard where he kept the bricks. I assembled them exactly as I had seen him do while mimicking his actions and remembering what he said. I’ll never forget the level of concentration that fell over me in that moment. After raising and lowering my hand two or three times, I finally let it go; kiai and all. The brick gave way so easily, too easily I thought. I couldn’t believe it, and there was absolutely no one around to witness this amazing feat I had just performed. Not a nosey neighbor, no one peeking through a window, NOBODY! I was all alone and I was proud of myself and what I had just done.
Many years later, I had a chance to use a different kind of Ki when my youngest daughter, the one I call grandma, was no more than four at the time. The goldfish she won at the local carnival, so proudly displayed in a small fishbowl on the dining room table, appeared to have died. She was so sad as she gently rocked the bowl trying to wake him up.
I remembered when my turtles died and my mother had that talk with me and I wondered if it was my turn to have that talk with her. But then something told me to try something first. While leaning over the bowl, I rubbed my hands together then held them palm side down over her goldfish. We were both quiet as she glanced back and forth between me and the bowl. My wife and one of my other daughters had come into the room by that time.
When all of a sudden we heard a splashing sound and I removed my hands just as I felt them get wet. That fish was not only swimming around but leaping in and out of the water several times before he calmed down. This time I wasn’t by myself. He did eventually die by the end of the day, but like my father before me, I was able to show grandma
the dynamic mystery of life force energy.
Meditation for your Personal World
Many of us pray for peace in our personal world; meaning in our relationships with spouses or lovers, family members, friends or even our work related relationships.
We often go about this by going to God in prayer, asking to be delivered from or to have the situation changed in our favor. We’d like to think that the world would be so nice if everything in it could benefit us. But that’s just not realistic nor would we ever learn some of life’s most valuable lessons if we always had our way.
We go through things in order for Goddess to teach us.
The operative word here is through. If we are wise, we will have learned what the lesson was all about, on the other side of that very important word.
One of the best ways to do that is through Meditation.
Like prayer, meditation begins with intent which leads to submission and release, then ultimately; comfort in believing that our petitions have not only been heard, but answered.
Where meditation
