Chapter 1

The McConnell clan started worshiping the Greek God’s about a century ago. The arrangement has proven very lucrative. Mitch McConnell talks to the God’s weekly. My father was killed by pirates at sea when I was 20. I inherited his business. Which consisted of 18 ships and over 170 pack animal caravans. It really is quite lucrative. Several of my relatives and my brothers and sisters are also involved. Currently I have 34 ships and over 400 caravans. Ella wasn’t interested in getting married but definitely wanted a child and that’s where Brun came in. Brun fell in love with her the second he saw her.

He wanted a huge wedding and all the babies she could give him. He soon found out she didn’t want marriage. Just babies because she didn’t want a man telling her what to do. She enjoyed her freedom too much to get married. He just wasn’t happy with the situation.

As she stepped into the mansion, he asked her to remove her sandals. Then they both put on slides. He gave her a tour and introduced her to his servants.

Brun’s older sister was there on a layover and she had one of her sons with her. He was learning the family business. Ella and Riley Brun’s sister hit it off immediately and got into a discussion about foreign countries and the latest fashions out of Paris and other countries. Riley insisted she stay for a couple weeks until her caravan returned and all the supplies loaded aboard ship. Riley and Ella used bruns carriage to go back to Ella’s family mansion and they helped ellas servants pack some of her belongings onto the carriage and her father blessed her with a kiss on the forehead. Ella wisely didn’t tell her father the real reason for The fortnight.

Ella’s sisters were showing signs of envy so Ella decided a quick departure was in order due to her sister’s envy would soon turn into jealousy as usual and they would talk their father out of giving permission for the fortnight and subsequently breading with Brun. She had to leave now if she wanted her plan to work. They loaded all of the luggage onto the carriage then they told the driver to go back to Brun’s place. On the way through the side streets, they become hungry and decide to stop for a bite to eat and had the driver redirect to the market for a bite to eat.

Once in the market the driver new the best pub with the best food and didn’t ask where to go. The carriage came to a stop and the women got out with zeal and anticipation of the house specialty awaiting them. They went inside and found a table for four. It was the only empty table so they took it. They ordered the house special. Beef stew and root beer. They ate slowly to savored the taste and then ordered seconds. The waiter struck up a really good conversation with Riley which lasted well after they finished their meal. After a while customers needed the table so they paid and left with Riley giving the waiter a friendly hug and they left without any more ado. The pair tramped to the carriage and climbed in.

The driver then drove to bruns place and ½ hour later they arrived and were at bruns mansion and Ella’s baggage was put in her room. Ella stole away to bruns room every night and soon they were both madly in love. Two weeks later Ella had morning sickness and they all knew why. She wasn’t sure how she was going to tell her father but it was only time before everyone in the family knew. She awoke to an empty bed. She went to find him. But was informed he left that morning to buy goods and load them on one of his ships on a very lucrative trade route.

The truth is Brun simmered into his true form as Zeus then he went to Mount Olympus after a fortnight and a pregnancy to boot. Little did anyone know Brun was killed by pirates alongside his father.

Chapter 2

Ellas father was pretty upset when she told him she was pregnant but something unexpected happened. She didn’t get in trouble. Instead, she got a really good job and her father bought her a really big house and put furniture in it. Nine months later Jacob was brought into the world and he was a healthy but big baby. Bruns family all knew about the relationship and gave Ella control of bruns fortune after training her in how to run the business. She was a natural and she really expanded the business.

She would help load her ships and began building up her muscles. She added on several complements of professional soldiers and archers. She trained her sailors in combat training because piracy was getting really bad and she was losing a lot of money due to piracy. After having captured some of them, they quickly told her where their hideout was and then were beheaded after showing her the route in person and the actual location.

She and Brun’s family all got ready for the attack by training all her sailors and professional soldiers along with the Kings naval forces for an invasion of the Pirates capital city.

She had 52 ships with 7000 soldiers. The King had 30 ships with 6000 soldiers and she and the king went over battle strategy and she was trained in how to lead an army and an armada. All her ships were reinforced for ramming and splitting ships in half. Ella made all the arrangements for the journey and provisions. She oversaw the loading of the ships and once all her soldiers and sailors were aboard and the King was ready. She took up residence in her flagship. She had built for just the occasion. Her room was massive for a ship’s and she made sure she had many comforts of home.

All the ships set their sales and began sailing out of the harbor. The flotilla would strike fear in any pirates they came across and once they reach their destination. It would put fear in the pirates in the pirate’s capital city.

Ella was talking to her cousin Roger Connell who happened to be a druid and quite skilled at warfare and a general in the Kings army. He was forth in command of the combined armies. Normally he would be first in charge of her army but seeing the king agreed to help wipe out the Pirates. She agreed that a professional army with a lot of experience and almost no defeats should be making the calls and battle decisions. Which was the Kings army.

The Kings ships have been attacked by pirates for many years now and it has been getting worse every year. So when Ella approached the royal Council with her proposal they jumped all over it once they confirmed she wasn’t kidding about the size of her forces.

She got an audience with the King and they hammered out a mutually beneficial agreement with the Druids help in the Army who just happened to be in the area at this time. Ella, Roger and her senior staff along with the prince and his senior staff were eating a freshly caught meal of cod. The fishing trawler was hauling in a catch of cod every other day. Everyone was commenting how good the men are being fed.

They were all talking strategy when one of her spotters sent her a message. The biggest megalodon he had ever seen was circling the ships. They were all at anchor by a layover island and this was very unusual.
