funny stories: about the world scout jamborees

About this ebook
The cartoon is a drawing, that often in a humoristic way comments or criticises conditions of political or social character.
The cartoon should easily perceive, which situation, person or problematic is intended to be told by the cartoonist. Also human attributes and characters can be put down in an overdoing manner.
Scouting – with all its all-round attitude towards clean, truthworthy and moral values offers quite a lot of opportunities for critics, comments and interpretations – in particular, if the way of the cartoon is put in a fair, never offending, discriminating or even insulting form.

I was greatly honoured and delighted when Hartmut Keyler asked me to write the foreword to his book Funny Stories About The World Scout Jamborees
, which presents cartoons about all World Scout Jamborees from their beginning in 1920.
Hartmut has been twice elected to the World Scout Committee. He has attended 16 World Scout Jamborees, 22 World Scout Conferences and numerous regional Scout Conferences and regional Scout Jamborees. He has also occupied the very highest positions within German Scouting and holds the Bronze Wolf.
