    Prologue

    Circa 912 AD

On the sea between Frank (modern day France) and the Lothlend (modern day Scotland)

    Caldor

THE LONGBOAT, Hlin, hit something hard, rocking it violently. Caldor Erikkson was slammed into the side of the boat, nearly tossing him overboard and unseating several men who were at the oars.
