This book is written for those who have been born with some kind of birth defect and have fought the battles of surgery, self-acceptance, and who have felt the pain of ridicule and cruel teasing.

This book is also dedicated to my parents, Frank and Margaret, and my sisters, Janice, Linda, and Roberta. Each of them, in their own way, taught me that I was loved and accepted.
