About this ebook

She's a princess locked away in a wooden tower.

Twyla Grace should love her life.

She has a nice house, a wealthy father, and just graduated from college.

What more could a girl want?

For Twyla, the answer has always been Seth.

He's always wanted to be her white knight.

When Seth Avery first met Twyla, he instantly knew two things.

One, she was the one for him, and two, she was also way too good for him.

When she left, he let her go. He thought that college was what she wanted, and he just wanted her to be happy.

Do the Princess and the Pauper only get their happily ever after in fairy tales?

Now that she's back in Sequoia though, will Seth be able to let her go again?

    Chapter One

    Twyla

The car ride home is silent but I don’t mind. I’ve never had much to say to my father, not since I was a kid anyway, and that hasn’t changed with my time away at college. I’m too wound up to try to make idle chit-chat right now or to try to fill the awkward silences. Not when I’m so close to being back home and seeing Seth.

I wonder if he’s still working at the Stud Farm.

I’ve had that same thought a million times over the last four years, and the answer is always yes. Seth Avery not being the foreman of the Stud Farm is basically a ludicrous thought.

He’s been working there for the last six years. I know because I’ve kept in touch with Griz Ford, one of the Ford brothers and one of his bosses, ever since I left. Usually, it’s just a happy holidays text or him asking how classes are going. It always ends the same way—with me asking how things are going around the farm and him saying good while somehow finding a way to mention Seth.

He has no idea how much I appreciated those texts.

    I’ve been in love
