I woke from the full moon madness with the taste of blood in my mouth. Naked and alone. I pressed my fingers to my lips, wondering what exactly I’d done this time.

A discreet knock on my door announced the arrival of my old valet. He was carrying a pile of clean clothing and a glass of Scotch. I downed the latter far faster than it deserved to be consumed, welcoming the fiery path the alcohol burned down to my gut.
