Les Appels du Vide: The Calls of the Void
By Naba Qayum
()
About this ebook
Les Appels du Vide is a collection of short poems honouring the jarring, shocking and thought provoking nature of grief. Grief intrudes the stitching of the fabrics that make up our lives.
These thoughts provoked within us are as revolutionary to our characters as they are shocking, and instinctively we repress them.
This book honours them and brings them into the light instead.

Dedication
To my mama, who turned bones to marble. I owe you every step forward, all the way to paradise.
To my family, for picking up glass pieces with their bare hands and turning them into the mosaic that our family is.
To my cousin Safah, for being the number one supporter of my writing, in its rawest form.
And to Aminah, who was my number one supporter of me in my most unrefurbished form.
