Double White ( The Comic Spy ) - Adnan Mumtaz
Chapter 1
Rahat Club's famous orchestra was playing rock and roll tunes and young men were dancing on the wooden floor of the club. Many people were sitting around the dancing hall engaged in pleasant chatter and the air was full of joyous laughter. Rahat Club seemed to be a beautiful region apart from this world, where the residents never had even a shadow of sorrow. In a corner of the hall, Imran was also present with a cup of coffee in front of him. His body was elegantly dressed and his face had a dignified seriousness. So many eyes were fixed on him. Many girls offered him a dance but he turned them all down.
He was in a bad mood since the morning. Don't know why, when he got out of bed today, he was feeling tired. He felt like a cloud of boredom was over his head. He thought it might have been due to staying up too late at night because a chess game was going on at his flat last night. Safdar had come to meet him. While sitting there suddenly they got into a mood to play chess and then chess went on almost all night. As the game was very interesting and then the two skilled players, the enjoyment was doubled and as a result the game continued till late in the night but the poor Suleiman had to get into trouble. He became helpless while presenting them the tea repeatedly, but it was Imran's order, so he was helpless. By God's grace, the game ended late at night and Safdar left for his flat, then Imran also fell asleep, but as usual he was woke up early in the morning.
Nowadays, since the Pakistan Secret Service had no cases, the days passed almost in boredom. To relieve the boredom, he planned to go to the club and now he was sitting in the club drinking coffee when suddenly a well-dressed young man stopped nearby his table. Imran raised his head in shock and started looking at him.
Can I sit here?
This young man asked in a polite tone. Imran looked at him from head to toe. The young man got confused.
Yes. Please sit.
Imran said in a serious tone.
Thank you.
The young man said and he sat on the chair in front of Imran while Imran bowed his head and started drinking coffee. The young man glanced at Imran.
When did you come?
When the young man said this, Imran looked at him in a puzzled manner because he could not understand what the young man meant by this phrase. He found the case somewhat interesting. Perhaps this young man is under misunderstanding and was mistaking Imran for something else. As soon as he thought about this, the boredom suddenly disappeared from his mind like the sun rose and he got back into the mood, but his face was still serious.
This morning...
Imran answered in a serious tone.
"What it is felt if the sun rises from the west? The young man said softly. There was excitement in his voice. Imran was surprised that, the young man wanted to irritate him or there was some other matter. Then Imran was also willing to screw him. Boredom was nowhere to be found. Imran's eyes sparkled.
There will be a time to mourn over intellects.
Imran answered slowly.
"And if the sun becomes the moon? The young man seriously added another question.
Had to hit the shoes on the head...
Imran replied and it felt like a question and answer page of a film magazine was being read.
The young man breathed a sigh of relief as if a great weight had been lifted from his head. Imran's surprise increased further. Is there a screw loose in this young man's mind, but in the second moment, the young man put his hand in his pocket and took out an envelope and handed it to Imran. The envelope was closed and there was no writing on it. Imran started looking at this envelope with surprise. After thinking about something, he put the envelope in his pocket. The young man immediately got up and turned to go back, while Imran stared at him with wide eyes like owls and he went straight out of the hall.
Imran thought for a few moments and then took out a currency note from his pocket and put it under the coffee cup placed on the table and came out of the club taking quick steps. The young man was coming out of the main gate of the club at that time. He stopped an empty taxi with the gesture of his hand and then opened the door and sat inside the taxi.
He hurried towards his sports car and the next moment his car was chasing the taxi. Imran was thinking that the matter was a mystery because he understood that the young man's questions were a specific code which he answered correctly by chance and as a result, he got the envelope but now he wanted to see who this young man was and where he lived so he considered it necessary to follow. The young man's taxi turned to Jahangir Road through the main road and then went inside the main gate of a huge house. When Imran passed in front, he saw Asim Villa written on the bungalow. He kept going because he had seen its whereabouts now he wanted to see the envelope with satisfaction so he turned the car straight towards his flat. For a moment he thought about going back to the club, but then he changed his mind. After some time, he was sitting on the sofa in his flat, opening the envelope. As soon as the envelope was opened, Imran's eyes were surprised to see what came out of it. He could not imagine that the envelope would contain such a thing. He sat and stared at her for a long time. From the envelope came out a picture of a monkey sitting on a tree branch and was mimicking.
Chapter 2
The young man got down from the taxi and entered the house and then took a quick step and entered a room of the house. The floor of this room was made of beautiful black tiles. The young man quickly pressed a tile in one corner of the room with the toe of a boot, and then the next moment pressed another tile in the same corner, and immediately a door opened in the front wall and he entered inside. As soon as he entered, the door got closed behind him. Now the young man was coming down the stairs. Descending the stairs, he stopped at the door of another room. The door was closed. He knocked on the door in a peculiar way.
Come in.
A heavy voice came from inside and the young man opened the door and entered. The room was completely dark.
The door got closed behind him. The young man stood politely next to the door with folded hands. He felt as if invisible eyes were tearing at his body even in the dark. Then suddenly there was a snapping sound and the place where the young man was standing was bathed in light. The light was coming straight from the ceiling. The rest of the room was similarly dark as before because the bulb in the ceiling had some kind of shade attached to it so that the light was falling directly only on that part.
Number two.
Again the same heavy and cold voice echoed in the darkness.
Yes Boss.
The young man replied politely.
Have you delivered the envelope?
The Boss asked.
Yes Boss.
Said the young man politely, who was named number two.
The person who took the envelope was the same person you were told about?
The Boss asked another question.
Yes Boss.
Number Two replied.
How did you know?
he asked. There was a roar of snore in the boss tone. The young man trembled for a moment.
Boss, he was sitting in his special chair. And was wearing a red tie.
Replied Number Two, while regaining his senses.
Had you repeated the codes,
asked the boss. Yes Boss. He answered all the codes correctly.
Number two said.
But how did you come back so quickly?
asked the boss.
Boss! He was come early.
Number two said.
What do you mean?
said the boss in shock. Now there was an element of ferocity in the voice.
Boss...! He came before time so I thought I would finish early.
Number Two said.
You didn't give an envelope to the wrong man...?
Boss said.
How can that be?
Number two replied timidly.
The boss said, "Tell the details of his appearance.
Number two told Imran's appearance. In a second, the whole room was lit up. For a moment Number Two's eyes widened, but the next moment he saw a foreigner standing in front of him. It was the first time for Number Two that he was seeing the boss, otherwise he was always in the dark. Number two did not understand why the boss lightened up the light as soon as appearance was described.
He glanced at the boss's face, but his soul was perished when he saw the boss's face, because the foreigner's face was distorted with anger. His eyes were red and he was biting his lip as he stared at Number Two.
You're an absolute ass.
His voice cracked with anger.
Yes Boss!
Number Two answered with trembling from head to toe.
You have delivered that envelope to the wrong man
the boss growled.
No Boss! That's impossible.
said Number Two with a shudder.
Before the foreigner could answer, the telephone in the room rang loudly and the boss picked up the receiver.
Yes…
the foreigner grunted with anger, and then for a few moments he listened on the other side. His face was turning red with anger and then suddenly he beat the receiver on the phone cradle.
You heard our wanted man is available there.
Said the boss in a ferocious tone.
What…What did? What do you mean?
said Number Two, shivering. His brow was dripping with sweat and his color was turned yellow as turmeric.
That means you gave the envelope to the wrong man, so now you're going to be punished,
said the boss with a grunt, and then he took a revolver out of his pocket and pointed it at Number Two.
But that code words...
Number two glanced at the revolver's barrel.
You are talking nonsense. The wrong person can never answer these code words correctly. This shows that you have deliberately given the envelope to the wrong person,
said the boss in a very stern tone.
Not at all, boss. He had answered the code words perfectly,
Number Two said with a shudder, but then suddenly a bullet from the boss's revolver pierced his heart. After a few moments of yearning, Number Two went numb.
Chapter 3
Sir Sultan was pacing restlessly in his drawing room. The furrowed lines on his forehead showed his deep thought as suddenly he stopped and started listening intently. They heard the sound of a car stopping outside and then after a few moments they breathed a sigh of relief as Imran entered through the door. Imran was blinking at Sir Sultan as if seeing him for the first time and trying to recognize him. Sir Sultan looked blankly at Imran for a moment then was shock.
Sit down,
Sir Sultan said, pointing to the couch, and then sat down on the chair himself. When Imran saw Sir Sultan so upset, he decided to postpone the planning of any mischief for now and sat comfortably on the couch.
Sir Sultan closed his eyes and started thinking about something. He was quite lost in his thoughts. Imran also looked carefully at him for a moment and then leaned against the back of the sofa and closed his eyes.
Sir Sultan closed his eyes and thought for a long time. Then there was a calm look on his face as if he had made a decision. He opened his eyes and sat up straight but then looked at Imran and was shocked because Imran was sleeping with his eyes closed and despite this worry Sir Sultan smiled on his lips.
Imran!
Sir Sultan said softly and Imran sat up like a house owner who has heard the noise of a thief entering the house.
Hey! I was sleepy. What sleep is a thing? Sir Sultan I have heard that sleep also occurs on gallows, then in my opinion, let the insomnia patients sit on gallows," Imran's words started went on like the spinning wheel.
Listen son. I am very worried,
Sir Sultan said in a steady tone.
Your enemies should have to worry. Rather, enemies of enemies.
Imran said in a very sincere tone.
You will be silent or you will keep talking?
When Sir Sultan said that, Imran closed his mouth tightly as if he had decided not to speak in life again."
Imran, you know that our country is on the verge of destruction. You cannot even feel what is happening to the top officers at this time. Not understanding what will happen to this country in the end,
Sir Sultan said incoherent phrases in worry. He felt as if he had forgotten how to speak. He did not understand how to explain the burden of his conscience to Imran, but Imran was looking at Sir Sultan with wide eyes like a child seeing a circus for the first time. He was not able to understand what the problem was, due to which a man with a cold heart and mind like Sir Sultan was so disturbed that even the right sentences could not come out of his mouth. He felt that the matter was a bit more serious than necessary so he became serious while Sir Sultan realized his own situation and became silent. Perhaps he wanted to think of appropriate sentences before speaking.
After all, what kind of resurrection has broken because of which you have become so worried,
Imran said. His accent was quiet serious.
Son, what should I say? A very valuable secret of the country has been stolen. You know that our border skirmishes are going on with the neighboring country. From the beginning, our neighboring country has wanted to somehow eliminate our country and incorporate it into their country. In view of this desire, he has made immense war preparations, but by the grace of God, our force is extremely alert and trained, so he has not dared to attack directly, but nowadays their speeches and the statements make it seem as if they are about to attack and are waiting for a special message or instruction. Till now we could not understand what was waiting for them but today everything has become clear to us. The most valuable secret of our country which includes the details of naval, army and air force bases in our country, all the details about our defense system, number of troops and weapons in response to a possible attack by a neighboring country disappeared last night. Now all this system cannot be changed immediately and if this secret reaches the neighboring country, then our country is protected by the God only. We will be crushed like an ant underfoot. So my mind is exploding with this thinking that what will happen now?
When Sir
