Hi, I'm Alex. I used to have a perfect life. That was until I got an invite to the P.V.P. tournament, which forced me to leave my comfortable life and go fight. During the games, I met five new friends, but you’ll hear about them later. Afterwards, I made my way back to my house, feeling good about having my normal life again. But on the way home, I met a few witches, and was saved by a couple of people named Diamond and Jay. I got home, and was about to happily greet my pets, Snow and Congo, when I realized something was terribly wrong.
Previously in The Games (Book One)...
But just as I was about ten blocks away, I saw something odd. I saw someone by my front door, bow out, and someone on my balcony, placing TNT!!
I sprinted until I was right in front of the house, and saw that the figures were in black outfits. At first I had thought it was Vicky, but then the one by my front door turned to face me…then the one on my balcony.
It was Diamond and Jay.

Begin The Journey
It was Diamond and Jay. Jay was placing the T.N.T. while Diamond stood in the front, keeping watch. Then she turned to face me. She smiled.
Took you long enough,
she laughed, then put away her bow and took out her sword. She lunged at me, taking a running leap and stroking the blade though the air.
I staggered backward, white hot pain emanating from the sword stroke across my cheek. Then she shoved me down, her knees pinning my shoulders to the ground. I couldn’t reach my trident, and I could see Jay placing the last of the T.N.T. Then I remembered my pets were in the house!
I struggled, but she was too heavy. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a person emerge from a nether portal. I saw them take out their sword and sprint until they were in front of the balcony. They placed a block of slime and jumped up onto the explosive pile. The person started fighting Jay and, caught off guard, Jay quickly started fighting back.
They fought back and forth until Jay finally disappeared. Diamond screamed and jumped off me, racing toward the slime block to start fighting the person. Then the person jumped down and swung at her. She dodged narrowly, then started swinging at him.
I saw the person’s face. It was Vicky, one of my friends from the games! They were locked in combat, swords ripping at each other, but they were too evenly matched, so I ran to the slime block and jumped onto the balcony. I showered arrows down on Diamond, but it still wasn’t enough to finish her, so I threw my trident at her which swiped at her upper arm. She didn’t die, but she ran off into the woods to find Jay. I jumped down to talk to Vicky.
Thanks,
I said, What are you doing in the overworld? Don’t you live in the nether?
Yes,
answered Vicky, panting. But a few weeks ago, a couple named Jordan and Aaron went missing and then Mason called me and said someone had blown up her uncle’s end ship. Then, as if it wasn’t enough already, Ryan said that he’s living with Luck because his house was blown up! I knew that there were griefers in all the dimensions, but the question is are they all different people, or the same ones?
I don’t know,
I said. But we should try to figure it out.
Vicky nodded and said, Yeah. We're all meeting at Mason's place to talk and make a plan. I’ll get Sasha and you can get Luck and Ryan. I’ll give you some obsidian and flint and steel to travel through the nether. You’ll travel faster that way. Use the address book.
Wait,
I said as Vicky stepped toward his portal. Can’t you come with me to pick up Luck and Ryan and we can pick up Sasha on the way?
He shook his head.
No. We need to travel as fast as possible, and that will take too long.
Then he stepped into the portal. I stared for a moment as the portal was broken from the nether by Vicky. As the last piece of obsidian broke, I walked back to my house.
I made myself some rabbit stew, then went into my backyard, went over to the
