I Came, I Saw, I Wondered

About this ebook
My venture began in 1973 and is still ongoing.
I left England on a visit to Germany which was planned to be for one year, but it was extended, and extended, and extended.
Although both countries are, at least in theory, "European", there are numerous differences in cultural and social areas which were first part of a learning curve but increasingly became questions posed, perspectives challenged and attitudes altered.
This A-Z offers a cross-section of elements portraying my thoughts and feelings towards my country of birth and my new home country.
M.J. Boyle
M.J. Boyle was born in the mid 1950s in the North, grew up in the South of England but has spent her adult life in Germany. Her strong ties to her home country and her sincere affection for Britain influenced her career in teaching English as a foreign language. As a university lecturer and Business English teacher she remains an avid observer not only of British society but also of the political landscape in Great Britain. She lives with her family in the South of Germany.
