    CHAPTER 1

The morning sun rays were coming through the window and were laying on her beautiful face. She squeezed her eyes tighter, making wrinkles around them. She sighed softly while turning her back toward the window. Fresh air was flying through it bringing flowers' smell from the large garden on the other side of the window, making her nose fill with them. A soft smile crawled on her face. She tried to disappear in her sleep again.

Abruptly, she heard the bangs on the closed door and heard it opening. It irritated her. She wanted to slap the face of the person who dared to open her door without her permission. We've been attacked, ma'am. Her employee Avni shouted in a trembling voice. There was an alarm in her tone. It shook her off from her attempt of sleeping again.

She was in black shorts and a blue crop top. Her long brown hair was resting on the pillow spreading all over it.

She heard her heart picking race though she was trained to face anything. What? She straightened up with a jolt, her big sleepy eyes staring at her. Oh, my God! Sara? She threw the cover away from her body and jumped out of the mattress. She grabbed the car keys and her cell phone, throwing them in her shorts pocket. She rushed out of her room toward her door.

    ( Two years ago)

    ––––––––

Her gaze roamed around in boredom. She saw some faces staring at her. She chose to ignore them. Where is she? She shouted, getting irked from waiting for her brother's girlfriend.

He smirked looking at his impatient younger sister. She's on her way, Ell. Her brother said, trying to convince her, Should I order another coffee or something for you? He asked.

Three cups of coffee were already laying on the table in front of her. Yeah, sure. If you have serious intentions to kill me with caffeine. She sarcastically said, crossing her arms over her chest, and leaning back against the chair. She creased her perfect arched brows.

No one dies with caffeine. He smirked. His expression was softened.

She gazed at her brother in impatience and raised her eyebrows in great irritation.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. A girl shouted while running at them. She was holding her heels in her left hand.

She looked at her brother with a questioning gaze, There she is! His lips pulled up with a warm smile on his face.

Broken heel in her hand. Don't tell me you can't buy her a good pair. She taunted her brother.

She was in dark blue jeans and a pink one-shoulder top. Her heels were in her hand. She was running at them with remorse on her pretty face with blue eyes, lips covered with pink lipstick and short dark brown hair touching her chest. She was tall without heels. Her brother stood up from his chair wearing his broadest smile.

I'm sorry, baby. I got late. I got stuck in traffic and my heels broke on my way coming here. I'm so sorry. She pouted, remorse still clung to her pretty face.

She was grinning covering her mouth with her hand, hearing baby from her mouth for her muscular strong brother with the most green eyes, It's okay, sweetheart. He spoke while smiling.

She sprouted out in loud laughter hearing sweetheart from her cruel brother. Although, he wasn't cruel to her. She was the only girl after his mother who witnessed his soft heart.

Shelbina, There was a warning in his soft voice. She instantly controlled her laugh but could not do it properly, She is Sara. Sweetheart, she's my sister, Shelbina. He introduced them, glancing at her smiling, trying to rein in her laugh.

She extended her hand. Hello, nice to meet you.  She smiled. I'm sorry for all this fuss. Sara bit her lower lip in nervousness.

Pleased to meet you, Sara. She smiled. She is cute. She whispered to her brother with praising eyes which earned her a smile from her handsome brother.

Thanks. He blushed like a college boy.

At that moment, she realized that he was serious about this girl.

Well, I'll see you later. Indeed, I'll call you, Sara. You both enjoy yourself. I'll take my leave. She smiled, feeling genuinely happy for him.

But you don't have my number. She said, her big eyes declaring how nervous she was.

I'll take it from my brother. Bye. She turned on her heels. Her smile was explaining to them that she had approved of her as a part of the family.

Did I get her approval? She heard Sara saying. Worry paced her tone.

Two thumbs up. She showed her thumbs up over her head while walking toward her car.

He curled his arms around Sara as they both smiled peering at her going.

    PRESENT

    ––––––––

Her pulse quickened, heart thudded hard in her chest. In her brother's absence, she was incharge. The door was wide open. She could see it from a distance. She quickened her pace toward her room and entered.

There were two men in black suits. Their guns were pointed at Sara. Her face was blanched with fear. Her hands were secured around her belly.

Her lips flattened in anger. 'Bloody morons! Don't they know how to treat a pregnant lady?' She thought and scowled at them. She instantly pulled the drawer open. She wrapped her fingers around the gun and drew it out. She moved swiftly. Her eldest brother had always praised quickness within her while training her.

Before they could point their guns at her. She clicked the trigger and shot twice one after another in their heads as her brother taught her. They were dead on the ground.

Shelbina! Sara shouted in terror and also sighed in relief. Her smile couldn't hide her horror. Tears gathered in her eyes. She ran toward her and pulled her in a tight hug.

**** *****! Are you Okay? She asked her sister-in-law.

Thank you! You saved us. She said loudly in her ear, But.. .. Sara looked down at two dead bodies. She shivered in fear.

She shook her head as she brushed her index finger on the sliding tears. Don't mention it. We have to get out of here. She told her in her calm tone.

But... Are they dead? Sara asked in fear.

Ignore them, Sara. Don't stress, it's not good for you both. She smiled to assure her.

Sara was four months pregnant. Although her tummy wasn't showing in her loose nightdress.

Ma'am, Boss is on the line. Avni came into the room. She was clenching the phone as her life depended on it. She was proud of her maid who could manage to call her brother.

Sara took long treads toward her and took it from her hand. Albert! She started to cry. She wiped her cheeks while listening from the device. " I'm fine. Shelbina shot them dead.'' Dread shone in her eyes as she lifted them to her.

''Will the police arrest her?" She looked relieved as her shoulders sagged.

Yeah! OK. Sara extended her hand toward her. He wants to talk to you. She said while sobbing.

She took the phone from her hand, Brother... She said, wiping her tears.

He asked her to take his wife and the rest of the staff to the safe house. He was on his way for them. Until then,  he asked her to find a safe place and ordered her to not risk her life. She assured him. She had faced worse than this and survived too.

'Sara, wife of my brother and soon-to-be mother of his child will be safe, no matter what. '

She swore under her breath. That was a promise she made to her brother and herself.

Avni, I know you can not deal with the gun. Can you pick them up for me? She said to her as she didn't know how many goons were in this house. She needed all the bullets.

Yes, Ma'am. Avni nodded. She was looking startled and frightened.

She needed a lot of bullets to take them safely out of there.

Avni picked the guns from the dead bodies, with a horrible expression on her face. Her hands were shivering.

She held Sara's hand and started walking out of her room. Her gaze darted around. It was looking empty but she knew that it wouldn't be like that for a long time. She could hear footsteps reverberating in the early morning. She mistook them, thinking them to be staff members of her house. She glared back, Avni was gripping two guns in her hands and running toward them, careful not to make any noise. She walked toward the back door and halted.

Where are the other members of the staff? She asked Avni under her breath.

They are hidden in the secret room, behind the kitchen. Avni replied, whispering.

There was a secret room behind the Refrigerator. She was aware of every corner of this mansion.

Are we gonna die? Sara asked, terrified. Her eyes widened, glued to her.

Not until I'm alive. She chuckled, softly.

I and Alberto are the lucky ones to have you.  Sara said, taking her hand in both her hands.

You are wrong, dear sister-in-law. I'm the lucky one here. Well! We'll talk about it later. We will go shopping and have lunch together after sorting out this mess. She roamed her gaze around, smiling at her. There was no one. Soon, she was expecting them to come toward the back door as she was hoping they would grope the whole house first.

What are we gonna do now? Sara asked.

Okay! Listen up, girls. She met their terrified gazes. She gave her gun to Sara, Brother has taught you to use it, right? She asked. There was no doubt in her tone.

Yes, I can but I'm scared. Sara accepted with water in her eyes.

She could understand her situation. It wasn't the world she came from. She fell in love with her brother. Now, she was facing the result of falling in love with the Mafia man.

She took both guns from Avni's hand. She put one on the waistline of her shorts and the second, she gripped it tightly.

Please, Sara. Be strong for your child. She said, wiping tears from her cheeks. You just have to pull the trigger. I'm sure. There will be no need to use it. She said, drifting her gaze around.

Heaving, she nodded her head. Okay, Sara whispered, not looking convinced.

Now, move. She said, still holding her hand.

They shuffled towards the parking lot. She took the car keys out of her pocket. She unlocked her car. Then, she turned toward Avni holding a cold expression.

I don't know how to drive, ma'am. Avni said, stuttering. She was watching here and there was fear in her gaze.

I know. She gave the keys to Sara, You have to just take care of Sara. She ordered her, pointing a finger at her.

Sure, ma'am. She bowed her head.

What are you going to do? Come with us. Sara was looking scared.

Sara! I can't do this. There are the keys. You know where to head. You will be safe there. Call brother. He'll come. Okay? She said to her.

You didn't answer me. Sara asked with a mix of anger and concern. It was all a result of her brother's company.

There are people in our house who are our responsibility. I can't leave them to die. You should go. I'll be there soon. She promised.

But..... Sara started to say but she cut her off shaking her head.

No, but Sara. Think about your unborn child. She said with anger. You have to do this because of your baby. She ordered her.

Ma'am is right. You are pregnant, Ma'am. Please sit in the car. Avni opened the door of the driver's seat.

Go, Sara. I'll be fine. You just take care of yourself and your baby. She smiled, murmuring.

Sara nodded sadly and boarded the car.

Wait! She said. They stopped and looked at her. She took out her phone and gave it to Sara who was glancing at her with pleading eyes to come with them. You may need this. She said.

Avni, if she got any single nick. I'll shoot you, girl. She threatened her in her promising tone.

She gulped hard. She knew she was serious. Y... yes, ma'am. Avni nodded her head and hurried to the passenger side.

They got in the car. Sara started the engine. Turning the key, she gave her last pleading look.

She shook her head and gestured her to go.

Sighing heavily, she sped away. She was glad that she purchased a Bugatti last year. It helped her today. She was relieved to see Sara going away from danger. Now, there was nothing to fear. She took a couple of long sighs to placate her running heart.

    ––––––––

She rubbed her temple and turned to stare at the house. She clutched the gun tightly in her hand and braced herself, inhaling softly. She moved forward determined to destroy them.

She entered the house from the back door. The kitchen was near it. She looked left and then right. When she found no one. She stepped into the kitchen. She pressed the hidden button behind the double-door refrigerator. She looked over her shoulder. The secret door wide opened. She heard a squeal.

Thank God! It's you, ma'am. Lucy almost shouted in relief.

Shhh... She shushed her while frowning at her. All the staff members are here? She asked slowly as she didn't want to attract them before her staff walked out of here, safely.

No, ma'am. Avni is missing. She whispered.

She's safe and out of here. She scrunched her lips.

Lucy smiled and clapped her both hands together looking relieved that her friend was out of danger.

She gave her a cold look for behaving like a child. She could comprehend her relief as she was feeling relaxed. She knew that Sas was safe away from here.

Sorry, ma'am. A smile faded from Lucy's face.

Now, listen. I need two people who can drive. She asked them. Her eyes were on the kitchen door, grasping the gun ready to shoot.

I and Liz can drive.  Lucy said, muttering this time.

Liz came from behind standing in front of her, looking  terrified like others

Good, Now follow me. Remove your heels. Nobody will make any noise. If anyone did. I'll shoot you before those scoundrels reach us. She snapped, glaring at them.

All eyes widened because she was damn serious about it. She had already killed two people right after she woke up. She didn't wanna kill another one. She hid behind the wall of the kitchen and searched for any sign of a stranger walking freely. The hall was empty. She blew out a slow breath she was holding. It would earn her time to walk them out safely.

She looked back at them and gestured with her hand to follow her. She stopped near the door again to recheck. When she was certain of no one's presence. She nodded.

She ran toward the table on her toes not to make any noise. She picked up the SUV's keys. Unfortunately, there was only one. She was hoping that it could manage eight slim girls and loving bulky old - Maria. Something suddenly stuck in her brain.

She snapped her gaze at them. She couldn't see Maria in the group. She rushed back, grasping it tight. Where is Maria? She asked, frowning.

We could not reach her room to wake her up, ma'am. She was sick last night. Lucy sadly said.

Crap! She hit her palm on her forehead.

They must have gotten her, she thought.

She looked upstairs to where her room was. Maria was working in this house before she was not even part of this house and family. They were cruel people. They could kill her. She couldn't expect Maria to leave here alone to get tortured by the cruel people as she was in her fifty.

    Sorry, ma'am, Liz said, sadly.

She glared at her. It wasn't her fault. Take the keys, Lucy. Drive away from here. Call on my number after getting away from this place. You'll know where to go. She instructed her.

She was next to her brother to issue orders. No one dared to say no to her.

Lucy took the keys from her and bowed her head. It was not they who could ask her any question. They were here to take orders and obey. But all were like family to them.

Be safe, ma'am. Lucy said, watching to and fro in dread.

Hmm, thanks. Now go. She said, waving her hand at the back door. Their black heels were in their hands and they were careful as they knew if they made a fuss. Their rude lady would shoot them.

She lifted her gun in her hand and guarded their back, ready to pass the bullets through the enemies' bodies.

They moved fast with their feet toward the car. Lucy unlocked it. Hurriedly, They all got in the car. She ignited the engine and glanced at her.

She nodded to leave and the car moved away.

When she saw the car rushing away out of the gate. She got relieved and walked into the house again through the back door.

They must have noticed two cars missing, she thought. It was puzzling her. Why didn't they come to attack them? Why did they allow them to leave?

She remembered her brother's words who always asked her to get the back door in trouble. But she was glad Sara and her staff members were out of danger. She was in her shorts. She didn't notice it the whole time. She stepped on the stairs and slowly walked toward Maria's door with her bare feet.

' Maria should be fine. She has loved us like a mother, especially Alberto.' She prayed. She reached near the door.

Come in, Sara. I know. You will come for the old lady. She is still alive. See it yourself. Heavy male voice came from inside the room.

' Why is he calling me Sara? Well! Everything happens for a good reason.' She thought, forwarding her steps gradually at the door. 'By the way, it is a good thing. My brother hid the news of her pregnancy and only family members have seen Sara.' She thought to act like Sara as she could not allow him to harm Maria and anyone in her family.

Come in! Don't make us wait. You've already killed our two men. Don't let this poor lady pay for your sins. If you want her to breathe. He shouted in his deep angry voice, which didn't affect her a bit. She was worried about Maria.

She shrugged her shoulders, exhaling sharply from her nostrils. She pushed the door wide open. It squealed, breaking the dead silence. It revealed Maria was tied up with the rope and four men in black suits were standing around her. One was pointing his gun at her head. Two men were pointing their guns at the door toward her. The fourth man, She guessed him as the leader. Their leader was sitting on Maria's favorite chair. She wanted to kick his ass. Maria's eyes were wet.

She winked at Maria, so she could understand why she was pretending to be Sara.

The cunning old lady nodded her head slightly, not letting them know. Sara, Why did you come here? Run away, child. Maria said in her crying voice. She felt her concern in her voice and the pain that these cruel people caused.

She clutched her hands after seeing tears in her old eyes. On the other hand, she was proud of her, for acting so brave in her captured situation. Maria was with great wit and loyalty. That was the reason she was working in the house for so long.

Did these Bastards hurt you? She fearlessly asked in an angry voice glaring at the leader who was sitting on the chair and smirking. She wanted to punch and break his teeth.

Not, yet. But if you aren't cooperating. She would be no longer. He said, pulling his gun from his holster, and charging at her.

Drop your guns.  The second man demanded from her.

Immediately, she dropped her guns on the floor.

No, go away, child. I'm an old woman. Don't do this for me. Maria cried again, making her heart ache.

I'll be fine. Don't worry, Maria. She smiled.

Let's go. The job is done. The leader got up from the chair. The first man removed his gun from Maria. There was a rope in his hand and a smirk on his evil face. Extending his feet at her, he tied her hands behind her back. The leader who was sitting on the chair held her by her upper arm.

Don't you dare to touch me. She snapped and jerked her arm away from his hold.  He glared at me. But he did not say a word.

    Let's go. The leader raged.

She's an old lady. At least untie her. You have got what you came for. She said.

Let her die. The leader said, showing his white teeth.

It was enough to raise her anger level. She kicked him between his legs. He groaned in pain and fell on the ground clutching his parts.

She glared at him. I said. Untie her. She demanded, saying each word loudly.

The second man untied her and closed the door behind them as he yanked her out. His two men who were charged there gunned at her lifted the leader from the ground and helped him to walk out.

When they reached the parking lot, Her mouth gaped to find a queue of cars in front of the house. She muttered thanks to God that Sara and the rest drove away from the back road.

The second man pulled her roughly toward his SUV. She elbowed him in his stomach. He groaned in pain and wrapped his arm around his stomach.

' I kicked him because he touched me. Still, this oaf tried to touch me.' She thought, giving him a tough look.

She climbed into his car. Two men enclosed her. All the goons seemed cruel and pathetic to her. The left-hand-sided man took out a long piece of black silk cloth in his hand. He wrapped it around her eyes.

What are you doing? She shouted at him in panic. She didn't get any reply. It made her riled up.

'That Bastard! Blindfolded me.' She thought, crinkling her lips tighter.

She is a bitch. The leader's heavy voice came from the front.

You m***** f*****! Watch your tongue. She snapped with rage and the irritation of the blindfold was infuriating her more, telling her to hurt him more.

She heard the roar of the car. Her heart dropped. But relief was heavier than it. Her family was safe. It sped away.

    CHAPTER 2

She was stressing that they would take her out of the country and many negative thoughts were running through her head. It had been hours for them to drive. She was thinking about Sara. She was praying that her brother would have met her. She was hoping that they would be safe. Once she made a promise she knew to keep it and she made sure of it to fulfill at any cost.

She rested her back, sighing softly. She was feeling dead tired after sitting for hours in the same spot. She thought about taking a nap. But she was surrounded by enemies. Definitely, it would not be a good idea.  She was waiting for them to stop the car. She could tell their Boss must be waiting for her heartily as he didn't show himself.

    Coward!

She didn't really get it? Why did they want Sara? Her father died in a car accident a few years ago. Her mother must be in her house in the Italy. She had a decent family, a peace-loving one. There wasn't even a wage possibility of any enemy. They must have wanted something from her brother. She inhaled deep breaths, telling her brain to stop thinking so much.

Where are you taking me? It has been hours. She asked, irked.

Keep your mouth shut. The leader snapped. She could recognize them by their voices.

She wanted him to untie her hands so she could beat the hell out of him. She pursed her lips in frustration. She hit the back of his seat with her feet randomly, following his voice.

She heard him cursing under his breath. She smiled and rested her head back. She stretched her legs. Then she remembered she was still in her shorts. It made her a little uncomfortable.

' Are they heating their eyes? I'd shoot them.' She tightened her jaw.

Open this shit from my eyes. She shouted in irritation with the thought of someone leering at her stuck in her mind.

Relax! No one is looking at you. A voice came from her right.

Better no one. I'll send you all to your graves. She snapped.

She heard him chortling and joining others later.

Put it on her mouth. The leader said.

After some seconds, she felt cloth on her mouth. He was tying it up.

Rascals! Her tone was muffled by the effect of cloth on her mouth. Randomly, She hit him with her head brutally. He squeaked in pain.

I would have shot her right now. If Boss hasn't ordered me. He wants alive anyone from his family or his wife. She heard someone saying.

Many names hovered in her head but no one seemed to endanger their territory and people having enmity with them. Particularly, Orlando
