Everyone at some point in life needs encouragement, especially single parents. Single parenting was not God’s original plan for parenting. As for me, I never dreamed of being a single parent, but God knew because He knows everything. He knows the end at the beginning, and He had already provided what I needed to get through this single parenting journey. God will be with you too, single parents, and He will help you to fulfill your calling in this role. You can be confident that He will finish the work that He has begun in you until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).

Your children may not be in a two-parent household, nevertheless, God loves them. God’s love never changes, and He will help you raise your children as a single parent. Since I did not have a manual on how to be a good single parent, or how to raise children in general, I totally depended upon God’s guidance and strength to help me. I prayed constantly and intensely, relied on His Word, and I asked the Holy Spirit to direct me on how to be
