And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.

    —Eph. 3:9

    Introduction

Human sexuality exists as one of earth's most mystifying miracles created by our loving Father in heaven. Sadly, this radiating enigma quickly became overshadowed by lust's deceit. As a result, this destruction led to an erosion of hearts, souls, and minds. If God created human sexuality to be close with us, how did the connection get so lost? How did lust grow to reign as the supreme influence over Godly human sexuality? And what can we do about it? This book will help you grow into a place of deeper understanding, revelation, and intimacy with your Maker.

I grew up in a professed Christian family; still, the truth that God designed sex to be a beautiful connection between man, woman, and our Maker was lost on me. This disconnect created a continued abyss of emptiness within my spirit as questions remained. A sexual presence that involved a loving God seemed far away in another galaxy or almost nonexistent altogether. Since then, I have discovered this elusiveness is ingrained in Christianity. I knew the Creator would not have designed such an act if there wasn't a loving purpose, especially after all of the heartache and demise I had personally experienced, heard about, and/or witnessed. I felt there just had to be a missing link somewhere to close the gap between God and human sexuality.

Throughout my many years of Bible study and other ancient texts, I was surprised to see an undercurrent of perverse sexual messages that has consistently prevailed throughout time. This prompted me to learn more so that I could understand God's true intention for designing human sexuality. Religion typically teaches that sex is solely for procreation, but is this true? Or did our Maker also have another loving intention, outside of procreation, for us to experience too? Inevitably, my initial fascination quickly transformed into unplanned, very long journey.

This journey culminated into thirty years of God-inspired research regarding the teachings of the age-old epic battle of God, Christ, humanity, and Satan. Ultimately, the conclusions of my research were so captivating that my Father in heaven finally motivated me to develop and write this book. At the right time, after continual praying, the Holy Spirit empowered me toward enlightenment and breakthrough. I believe this inspiration guided me through many years to intertwine references, substantial documentation, and other information into heartfelt explanations, led by the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, (John 15:26). As a result, I believe I was helped to uncover one of the greatest love stories ever told, God's Love affair with humanity.

This book may offend some; however, please keep in mind that God never intended for our sexual beings to be humiliated, mocked, and trashed the way we see it today. This is one of the main reasons I knew I had to write this book. It is time for God's people to destroy the embargo of lies Satan has used to infiltrate God's sexual treasure. It is time for God's people to glorify divine loving sexuality the way God always intended for it to be. I admit that I wrestled with God for many years to even write this book, but with deep conviction one day, I finally understood why God needed me to get this truth out.

Regarding the evil of this world—the ancient writings of the fallen angels and real-life devils are not merely myths and legends. On the contrary, the fallen angels and real-life devils survived as an intricate segment in our world, past and present. Among the various early texts, the fallen angels' leader, Satan, is noted as the instigator of sorrows and afflictions against God's people. His greatest, most evil, and consistent emotional sufferings toward humanity are caused through sexual sin and wickedness. Thankfully, the nucleus of the Bible teaches us that God's love frees us from the sufferings endured by various strongholds and traps sent forth by our enemy.

In the Old Testament (OT), we learn about the disconnect of God's favor and power because of the Israelites disobedience. This lukewarm response and lack of engagement displayed by the Israelites led to ongoing problems and heartaches for them to endure. Still, God's people continued to earnestly pray for intercession and renewal. The Lord knew they needed an awakening, a divine revelation, to reclaim His beautiful truths; and we see His answer to this in the New Testament (NT) with God providing His most treasured possession to them—His beloved Son. Christ arrived to convey His unprecedented saving grace and earth-shattering knowledge. I believe among many of His teachings and revelations, the cherished truth of our Godly sexual beings emerged. This new revelation brought to light God's true intention for human sexuality. Jesus preached that the kingdom of God lives within us, but there is also a spirit of lust that exists to distort this understanding.

I believe the one supreme miracle on earth that proves God's existence is within the perfectly designed gift He gave us—our sexual being. Only a higher source could have created such a beautiful treasure. Far too many people miss this truth when they fail to realize the gift within, leaving our Godly sexual beings greatly undervalued, trashed, and regrettably taken for granted. Tragically, this is in large part because of many of the distorted worldly views and mind-sets which have substituted lust for love.

At this point, you may begin to see how the lie of lust was manipulated within your own life too. This deceit often leads to pain, torment, trauma, regret, or even shame. Keep in mind, the goal of the enemy is to cause all of the above and then some, but God never intended for any of His people to suffer in this way. So my prayer is that as you read this book, Godly revelation emerges to reveal His truth to you too.

The need for information on this topic has never been greater. After years of committed research and study, I perceived there was an important missing link in the literature regarding God's purposefully designed gift. While other books discuss God and human sexuality, in my research, none did so by backing the topic with as many scriptures and scholarly references as found in this book. I felt this needed component was the missing link to bring forth healing through Godly truth and revelation.

It's important to note that the timing of this book is truly God ordained. As I previously shared, this book is over thirty years in the making with mounds of research; and at certain points, I felt the writing process of this book would never end. However, in God's perfect timing, this book is now set to release at a time when this world is suffering the most under the weight of sexual sin, guilt, oppression, and the evils of lust. Now more than ever, the Lord's people need a sexual awakening to fully understand Godly sexuality, that is human sexuality that invites God in, is truly beautiful, natural, and God-ordained.

I acknowledge this may be a new concept for some; even so, by simply initiating and reflecting on the beauty of God's sexual existence, a new wholesome relationship emerges with our Creator for you to enjoy. The awareness of this gift can ultimately evoke a marvelous experience to value and lovingly honor as God's Spirit guides you on an illuminating sacred voyage to encounter the light of life. Jesus said, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life (John 8:12).

Lastly, please note I have included a chapter summary at the end of each chapter to highlight the main takeaway(s) and the actionable steps you can take with our Father in heaven to experience a breakthrough. Once this victory is achieved, you will be able to fully embrace the beauty and wholesomeness of human sexuality in the way God always intended for His people to experience it. My prayer is that this book helps you grow into a place of deeper understanding, revelation, and intimacy with your Maker.

    Chapter 1

    The Paradox of Love

Thou shalt Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

    Matt. 22:37

The enthralling miracles and mysteries God fascinates the world with are endless. One captivating phenomenon is within the genetic formation of humans. This process transcends all human ability to fully comprehend because, undoubtedly, this is divinely personal.

The Romance and Fall of Eden

Scripture holds that man was made in the image of God (Gen. 1:28). Given the fact God prevails as omnipotent (all-powerful), omnipresent (being present everywhere), and omniscient (at the same time with complete and unlimited knowledge), the concept of all humans being created in the image of God seems puzzling. Jesus related to the image of God as a great wealth hidden within people. He presented a paradox: God's great wealth exists within us but exists in poverty. Jesus said, If the flesh came into being because of spirit, that is a marvel, but if spirit came into being because of the body, that is a marvel of marvels. Yet I marvel at how this great wealth has come to dwell in this poverty.¹

Jesus identifies our bodies as containing hidden wealth, having a Godly mystery inside. Could Jesus be referring to the marvel of our sexual beings as the unknown riches that dwell in poverty? Again, Jesus describes the kingdom, saying,

The kingdom is inside of you and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty. (The Gospel of Saint Thomas)

In contrast, biblically speaking, professed poverty did not initially exist with Adam and Eve. The simplicity of the text states Adam and Eve flourished in the garden: And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed (Gen. 2:25). It was a perfect paradise where God created humans in His image, and the romance of Eden evolved.² Even still, the lingering question remains, how are we created in the image of God? There are many areas in our anatomy where we should sense God's existence as a mystifying presence. There is a divine radiance of its own within our sexual being.

The well-known psychologist and theologian J. Harold Ellen targets this scripture in Genesis in his book Sex in the Bible: A New Consideration. The text pinpoints men and women as created in God's image.³ He perceives the wording was intended to tell people that something emerges that is essential to the actual nature of God. Determinedly, this comes forth not as merely spiritual, rational, intellectual, emotional excellence, or as language proficiency.⁴ On the contrary, he maintains that our gender, our sexuality, our maleness, or our femaleness, which is contained within the sexual nature of humans and God, occurs when a relationship within this arena begins to develop. It is here where we become godlike. Mr. Ellen continues with a question: Is it possible that God desires us and longs for communion and union with us in some way comparable to how we desire and long for each other sexually? His response prevails as highly likely, for human sexuality did come from our Creator.⁵

This summation may not resonate with all; however, this truth exists as undeniable for me. God boldly transpires as an incalculable force of energy, with an enormous amount of emotional love, which creates an awakening of energy within humans. Logically, human sexuality is of God and subsists as an element of God's divine presence within sexual fulfillment. One could even say it is the main energizing source people have, which profoundly appears to live above it all, so to speak, in a world of its own. When one's sexual being is spiritually valued and appreciated, it seems to exist as the most mystical area in one's life, illuminating as a heavenly radiance with a divine purpose.

Yet this miraculous gift, our communion with God, was affected by Adam and Eve's fall from grace in the garden of Eden. Referencing back to scripture, an incident with evil, Genesis 3:1–7, provoked Adam to voice to God, I was afraid because I was naked (Gen. 3:10). We see God's design of humans, created in the image of God, influenced now by confusion and fear because of their nakedness. A serpent enticed the couple's sexual beings,⁶ leaving them in a fearful state. This creature is known as the fallen angel, Satan.

Adam and Eve's fall gave rise to sin, and soon the beauty of walking with God faded. Although their psychological damage meant a great deal to God, sadly, it is here that we begin to see paradise lost, instigating the spirit of fear, which arose in God's creation for the first time. The mystery of the sad sexual state of our world appears to gravitate back to this significant reference in Genesis 3:10 when our Godly sexual beings changed from God's image into lustful creatures.

Instantly, the fallen angel, Satan, introduced sexual confusion into the world, thereafter formulating spin-offs of unending similarities of fearful phobias. These inflictions hauntingly affected humanity in many forms throughout time; no doubt, fear's many-sided complexities plague every corner of our earth even today. Besides the Bible, another ancient text, known as the Book of Enoch, gives dynamic references that back up the importance the fallen angels had to the detriment of mankind.

    The Book of Enoch's Validity

A profound reference for the fallen angels is in the Book of Enoch. The manuscript is an ancient Hebrew apocalyptic religious text known as apocryphal writing. There are controversial issues regarding the text; however, its acclaim and credibility when viewing its assertions and history makes it quite impressive. Known as one of the earliest writings, the Book of Enoch developed long before the Old Testament Bible.⁷ The text seems to clarify various unanswered questions regarding some scriptures within the Bible. Notably, what seems to garner the most attention is Enoch's focus on the fallen angels. An excellent scripture that parallels with the Book of Enoch is in our New Testament (NT) Bible. It states,

There was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Rev. 12:7–9)

This one statement in the Bible expounds on Satan as a fallen angel who deceived the whole world, thereby giving documented credit to the severity of the fallen angels that are noted in the Book of Enoch. Enoch states that Azazyel (Satan), a fallen angel, committed the whole crime of deception of humans (Enoch 10:12). There are other scriptures in the Bible about the fallen angels that parallel closely with Enoch's text and are quoted later.

As noted in the Bible, Enoch was a man of God. The Bible proclaims, Enoch walked with God, and he was not; for God took him (Gen. 5:24). Enoch's Godly position in the Bible speaks forcefully to his relationship with God. The only men God carried up to heaven without dying first were Enoch (Gen. 5:24), and Elijah (2 Kings 2:11).⁸ Therefore, the prophet Enoch's Godly credibility should not be taken lightly. Enoch is referenced in the book of Jude, stating, And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousand of his saints (Jude 1:14). Enoch is quoted or mentioned many times in Genesis, and also in Luke and Hebrews.

The rediscovery of the Book of Enoch transpired after centuries of concealment. The text surfaced because of James Bruce's discovery of the text in 1773.⁹ The manuscript was translated into English by Dr. Richard Laurence, a Hebrew professor at Oxford, and was published in 1821.¹⁰ Since that time, various copies of the manuscript have surfaced in many countries.¹¹

During 1947 and 1956, a major turning point for the text developed during the discovery of the highly acclaimed Dead Sea Scrolls. Within the treasure trove of ancient books of the Bible and other ancient texts, they unearthed as many as eleven copies of the Book of Enoch.¹² The Dead Sea Scrolls aided in identifying the Book of Enoch's magnitude for ancient believers, helping to establish its highly acclaimed value.

The Book of Enoch is not alone in ancient references regarding the fallen angels and giants. The following references are a few other ancient texts:

The ancient Sumerian Texts, 2,500 B.C., are a collection of thousands of ancient Sumerian writings on stone tablets, depicting their culture and creation story of humanity and being ruled by the fallen Gods of heaven¹³ (James Hasting's Encyclopedia).

And it came to pass when the children of men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born unto them, that the Angels of God saw them on a certain year of this jubilee, that they were beautiful to look upon; and they took themselves wives of all whom they chose, and they bare unto them sons and they were giants (The Book of Jubilees 5:1 by R. H. Charles).

Outside […] and […] came out, those are the Egregoroi, and the giants that came out of the women (The Book of Giants, Frag. J by W. B. Henning).¹⁴

Each of these references strikingly parallels with the Bible and Enoch's beliefs in the fallen angels' involvement with God's people. In 1976, a thorough history of the Enochian writings was devised by J. T. Milik, a biblical scholar and Catholic priest. Milik's four-hundred-page book The Books of Enoch: Aramaic Fragments of Qumran Cave 4 proceeded as a great achievement in Enochian research.¹⁵ His work encompasses years of all-embracing convictions, arising as highly respected. During the early beginnings of Christianity, many church fathers believed in the Book of Enoch. Many of them considered the text holy scripture, such as Tertullian, Martyr, Clement of Alexandria, Athenagoras, Irenaeus, and Origen.¹⁶ However, because of the continual implications toward the fallen angels among the early leaders, the Book of Enoch was eclipsed as heresy, and all copies were eventually eliminated.

For the church, the whole issue appears to have centered around one factor: fear of the fallen angels.¹⁷ Consequently, fear of the fallen angels continued to plague humanity through the ages, persisting into our present time. For many Christians, it seems far better to dismiss the possibility than to face the fact of their presence, for, after all, fear is not an easy undertaking. An Englishman remarked in the years before the first American settlements, It is the policy of the Devil, to persuade us that there is no Devil [fallen angels].¹⁸

Even when the realism of the fallen angels is considered, it is obvious the fallen angels do everything in their power to convince God's people of their nonexistence on this earth. Their tactic is to sow fear and panic. But God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and a sound mind. (2 Tim. 1:7). It would seem if a person believed in Jesus Christ, then obviously one would believe in what He preached, which targets the destruction of Satan throughout the NT. Jesus said, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith (Mark 4:40)? Thereby, as Christians, we look to our divine protector Jesus Christ and His heavenly angels to fight our battles for us against the enemy Satan and his fallen angels. We, therefore, rejoice to know that Greater is He that is in me, than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The Book of Enoch is further elaborated on in chapter 5.

    The Angelic Downfall of Lust

One of the most unsettling mysteries in the world for many Judeo-Christian people is our biblical beginnings. Many worldwide biblical teachings condemn Eve for the downfall of humans, blaming Eve's temptation and her rebellion against God as the reason for the fall of humanity. As mentioned, the Bible speaks of a subtle serpent appearing out of nowhere (Gen. 3:1).¹⁹ Although humans are the only creatures in the world that can talk, in Genesis, the elusive serpent was quite chatty. The creature spouted intelligence far superior to that of mere animals.²⁰ Revelation 12:9 names the serpent as a fallen angel, the devil Satan.

The name of the serpent exists in the Book of Enoch as well.²¹ This text agrees with the Bible, regarding the serpent being a fallen angel; however, the text calls the serpent Gadrel.²² This reference relates to Revelation, stating that the serpent as the Devil and Satan.²³ Along with Satan, the fallen angels were cast out onto the earth with Satan. This acknowledgment helps us recognize the fallen angels do exist and are present on this earth, even today (Rev. 12:9).²⁴
