About this ebook

In the Spring of this year, 2023, I allege that during lengthy prayer God's Spirit began revealing to me previously unknown facets of His Kingdom in and upon His children. I then posted this revealed knowledge on X (formerly Twitter). Because not everyone has access to that social media or even is online in general, it was thought wise to provide this information also in a hard copy format. Adding witness to these supposed revelations through sharing my personal testimonies of their many manifestations in my life, was added as a second section to this book. In the third and final section, shared are more than half a dozen misunderstandings and misapplications of the Holy Word of God in the present, interdenominational Church at large.

    Introduction

Please do not pass over or jump ahead and return to this section: It lays important groundwork.

After fasting for a couple weeks in January, I’ve spent these six months since on a self-proclaimed sabbatical—although I didn’t know it was such until now. There were three activities which filled my days and nights. Chiefly I would pray in the S(s)pirit for literal hours five or six days a week. Secondly, I would interactively surf online, mostly YouTube videos centered on Christian themes. My interjections would be through comments sections to unknowns, usually correcting misinterpretations and misapplications of the Holy Scriptures. Lastly, I posted three dozen or so posts (formerly tweets) during this time, which comprise the next section of this book.

It was while scrolling on YouTube a couple days ago when I noticed a posted video of an interview with Elon Musk and whatever else. I didn’t take the time to open and view it, the heading being sufficient information for my purpose. It quoted Mr. Musk as saying that since the change from Twitter to X, X may fail. I do not know how if at all that may have been taken out of context or exaggerated, since click bait is rampant and so headings must be considered suspiciously. But it was enough of an impetus for me to begin this writing, something I could trust would be a permanent record of what I posted on X.

A half dozen or so years ago I set up a Twitter account. I made 2 or 3 brief posts just to try it out and then placed it in the background of my life, seldom even opening the application for any reason. A few months ago, I found myself realizing certain Truths of God’s Kingdom—or so I allege them to be—and believed I had better post them somehow in case of my demise or whatever. When I looked at my Twitter timeline and saw my innocuous tweets of years ago were still as visible and accessible as ever, it was a no-brainer, I would tweet the revelations believed given me from Above.

Ironically, I never sought God to reveal anything to me during this time. I had learned all I really cared to know about the Bible, feeling it was more than sufficient for whatever tasks would follow. These past months of extensive prayer was my seeking the Lord for Gifts of the S(s)pirit, which I felt were needed to confirm through signs and wonders the Truth I had already published in my other book, The Kingdom of God – A Book for Everyone; not more revelations. God’s ordained path for me was otherwise.

In addition to the X posts, I felt led to add herein personal testimonies which would bear witness for those able to believe them authentic and applicable. I also wanted to include additional teachings I posted elsewhere online and which I believed were sorely needed in the Church.

Most Christians may be familiar with the spiritual event which took place in February of this year, 2023, in Wilmore, Kentucky at Asbury University. One of my tweets was my take on it, actually a 1,200-word article I originally wrote for publication on one of the dozen or so Christian news outlets to which I had submitted it. No one wanted to publish the piece, however, it being much too dicey and edgy for a palatable read. While I did not myself attend the event, the fact that it drew tens of thousands of people from all over the country and even some abroad renewed my interest in revival, something long ago buried in my chest of broken dreams. I had succumbed to believe the Church had gone too far into the land of materialistic Balaam and sensational entertainment for any recovery. At least now, due to Asbury, I witnessed that God is still willing to manifest His Presence in our world. During the 80s and into the 90s when I had seriously turned to the Lord, it was common in regular church services to witness an atmosphere thick with the Love and Peace of Jesus. And after a nearly two-decade decline, it was inspiring to see there was at least some semblance of that past wave of God’s Spirit. So, while I sought the Lord these past months to use me again to be steward of that Angel of His Presence as he once had—however encapsulated, instead He taught me more about the Kingdom of God at hand, within us, and upon us.

Now, too, it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and me to add that section to this book which gives brief testimonies of the mountaintop experiences I had with God the past 40 years. These can be tied in with the X posts telling of such in a theological way, hopefully adding empirical witness. Because these things took place many years ago, I may not be precise in their unfolding here (or maybe so) but it will be close enough to convey to someone what I claim happened to me and can potentially also happen to them.

When considering my personal testimonies, for some it may be imperative they understand better a Truth from the written Word. The Scripture extract by their fruits you shall know them (Mt. 7:20), is generally if not always inferred as a reference to the nine Fruits of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5. I beg to differ. It is actually about those who are proselytized being a chip off the old block of their mentors. Using such all-encompassing Truths such as is in John 2:23–25, coupling it to the common existence of envy & strife, self-denial, self-justification, and the pride of ego: someone may conclude given the revelation that if a person lacks maturity of a given spiritual Fruit, they will not be able to recognize it in another. Given this parameter, it will take divine intervention for someone to realize as genuine the stories I will share about me being given ripe Fruits. (Such rejection is really just a play on that childish prank of schoolyard bullies, socially putting down someone else in order to elevate one’s own self. Beware.)

Neither should anyone who gives credence to my half dozen or so mountaintop experiences compare their spiritual journey to mine and feel either belittled or intimidated. I do not know why my life was such as it was whereby the Lord God warranted it being spiritually blessed as it was and is. I did not even know the existence of those facets of God I received, except for the charismata blessing, therefore could not even think to ask for them. It was a sovereign work from Above. I recall how Peter and John after healing the lame man and leaving onlookers in awe, Peter said, Why do you marvel at this, or why look so earnestly at us, as though by our own power or holiness we made this man able to walk? (Acts 3:12b) They knew there was nothing special in and of themselves whereby they were selected by the Heavenly Father to be given their office and anointed with His Power. Just as was true of them and all of us, I too must daily and throughout the day pick up my cross, casting out of my thoughts those evils which enter, even attempting to not dwell too long on them before so doing. No doubt I, like all, continue to frequently grieve the holy S(s)pirit of God by that slight smile of which we’re unaware when indulging in some impure thought. I, too, still exist in a body of flesh that must die daily to its dictates. I, too, have nothing in and of myself to bring to the bargaining table of God, save my willingness to turn away from my ongoing evil and receive more Grace. This is not false humility, God knowing my heart, I knowing my remaining selfishness.

If you were to inquire of my coworkers or family or friends or acquaintances, about the occasions they witnessed my outward actions of God’s Fruits of the Spirit, for example, they would most likely respond, Huh? Just as a prophet is not without honor except in his own homeland, in a similar vein those with whom we interact in the world will seldom see much difference in us who are walking in the S(s)pirit as compared to others who are not. They may even often see us as less Christ-like, since God’s Spirit seldom is compelled to appease flesh, and He often orchestrates actions different from what people seek of us and expect.

The Word commands us to not cast [our] pearls before swine (Mt. 7:6). A swine in that sense would be anyone who has not been given a momentary act of Grace whereby their heart bears witness to some Truth we have expressed verbally or by an action; as compared to it being too greatly challenged and ripped bare and therefor forcing its rebellion to lash out and stomp on us. So do not think me naïve in realizing that if you take what you will read here and ask others as to what they think, you will get something more constructive than skepticism and doubts and rejections. An ego requires the miraculous in order to successfully submit to an admittance of lack. How can anyone expect to confront a believer who has been so for any length of time, who may even be in an authoritarian position in the Church and/or have great theological knowledge, who may be in the world’s eyes a very successful Christian, and yet who lacks having had any face-to-face encounter with Father God beyond the New Birth and perhaps also a second blessing, to admit they still fall short? Ha. (Besides, those who teach Christ almost universally today believe that Fruits of the Spirit are gradually developed in the Christian, not instantaneously dropped upon them fully matured—as will be claimed here. Who among them would be willing to admit they were in error?)

I warn of these things not to degrade those who are without the Graces additionally available and told of in these pages, but rather in case the reader also is naïve to think that they can beneficially consult with others regarding these manifestations. If more Grace is sought, you need to be prepared for a road travelled alone, to lean not upon your own understanding (Prov. 3:5) or that of those with whom you may have turned to in the past. It will be a lonely journey even when you’re surrounded with people. ‘They’ will not understand. You will yourself often be perplexed, as admittedly also was Apostle Paul. Is it all only for us who have no choice, who are not satisfied, who are not spiritually content, who want more not out of personal ambition but it would seem of necessity?

In the months prior to this writing, I came across the writings of others who can add yet more witness to at least a fragment of what you’ll find written here. Forty Witnesses by S. O. Garrison, while difficult for some to read because of its 1800’s formal writing throughout much of it, tells of some who have obtained from Heaven more beyond being born again. Keep in mind, though, their experiences were often in unchartered territory, as were most of mine, and so it is often difficult to categorize and explain them in the neat and tidy order our fleshly lusts of the mind crave. And while I have yet to begin them, the six volumes of personal testimonies in They Knew Their God by E. F. Harvey, et al., is next on my reading to-do list. But I do not know of any other writing than mine which ventures beyond the three mountaintop experiences told by others in such as the above. However, I would like to think that there are some somewhere, even if limited to the personal journals of those who like me were not left fully satisfied spiritually, those of whom few if any know.

When using a word in a special way, such as satirically or emphatically, I use the British single quotes. When quoting Scripture and people and the like, double quotes are used. When supernatural facets exist in both divine beings and humans, spellings such as S(s)pirit and L(l)ove are used. Some posts were grammatically upgraded or reformatted, and sometimes bracketed information added. I also believe I write prophetically. And, yes, I do understand as I hope also does the reader, much of what is stated of myself herein is akin to a gunslinger entering an Old Wild West saloon and claiming before all to be the fastest gun around.

After praying in the S(s)pirit a few hours yesterday, the Lord revealed to me what actually manifests when someone receives the so-called Baptism of the Holy Ghost/Spirit: we are given the garment of praise (Isa.61:3), period. (Any other aspects are optional additions.)

All other aspects of the Baptism (actually a Baptizing as a gerund noun) previously historically assigned, such as mentioned in Acts 1:8 and 2 Tim 1:7, is additional Grace given to a specific receiver—also
