Introduction

This is a nice romantic story of a young man in love with his elementary school friend and co-founder of their reno company. He disguises himself as a mystery man in a blind dating game and through all that the ladies finally discover who he is and decide to not tell him but play him back on his game. Things start to become a bit exciting and dangerous as the ex-boyfriend is back in the picture. But the ex-boyfriend does not know that the mystery guy is also his boss. The ladies do not know that the mystery guy is the owner of their favourite club either. The possessive ex-boyfriend plays devious and dangerous games. Which will end up with one of the ladies dying and the mystery guy fighting for his life in ICU.

Will the mystery guy die without telling the elementary school friend how he feels about her or will the ex-boyfriend manage to finish him in hospital before he declares his love to the lady, and will the lady manage to forgive him?

Chapter 1

The music was loud and everyone was busy drinking and dancing, the ones not dancing were on their tables having fun and talking to their partners. If you were on the club that night without a partner it was because you had just broken up with your partner and you are looking. This was one of those creepy but exciting nights to the ones looking for their dates.

This was one of the busiest nights at the club as it was packed and some of the people were still outside on the queue to go inside. Lameez and her friends Tammy and Banshee were also inside in the tables accompanying their friend Guelle. Guelle had just broken up with her boyfriend who was a bartender at the same club. Guelle was a marketing director in a home renovations company, RHIS. She was one of the co-founders of the company with his college friend, Peers. Peers and Guelle had been friends since primary school. They were from the same neighbourhood, so it’s no surprise that Peers was attracted to Guelle. Today Peers could not join the girls as he used to accompany Guelle everywhere she went, such that most people and their parents thought they were dating.

The night started with the girls having shots and then they were assigned one of the tables in the corner of the club. Not their usual place though as that night they were there to for the blind dating session that usually ran on Thursday nights at the club with the couple’s night.

Guelle’s ex-boyfriend, the bartender paid no attention to the ladies as he was the one who had broken up with Guelle due to becoming second in Guelle’s life, as Guelle was always with Peers. He was tired and jealous of their unusual relationship. There was nothing I mean absolutely nothing that Guelle did without Peers approval and same with Peers. Peers though had a casual relationship with a lawyer but nothing serious.

The night started with fun for the girls and they were all assigned numbers to meet with their dates. They all had fun exchanging the dates and laughing having a good time as they did not take anything that night serious. It was all a joke to them.

Peers was also the owner of the club but the ladies knew nothing about that, even Guelle’s ex-boyfriend didn’t know the owner, only the club’s manager knew the owner of the club. Peers had arranged the blind dating for himself and Guelle. He had come to the club earlier that day and made sure that the numbers match him with Guelle as he knew Guelle will not meet anyone of interest from the list they had from that day.

He made sure he was going to be the last to meet with her. The dates came and sat or talked as the girls were busy laughing and asking stupid questions, none had any interest of finding a date there, until it was time for Peers. Peers came in disguised so that no one could recognise him. He looked directly into Guelle as he was walking towards her seat. He kissed her hand and offered to buy the ladies drinks. He called the waiter and ordered all their favourite drinks. They were all shocked and a sudden interest on the guy started to build up on Guelle.

Guelle sort of recognised the voice but because Peers had disguised himself it was difficult for her to put two and two together. And because all of them were drinking they paid no attention to it. Guelle, Peers and the girls talked through the night and Peers called a driver for them o take them home. They left without exchanging numbers or addresses. The next day was Friday and Guelle woke up early as they had to meet a prospective client. She drove to the office and soon and she arrived Peers was asking her about the night and how everything went. Guelle told Peers everything, not missing any detail. Peers was impressed and asked if Guelle would consider a proper date with the mystery man if he would ask, Guelle was hesitant and said yes, maybe it won’t hurt to try. Peers was so amused he wanted to jump but quickly realised that his plan would be discovered. They went to meet their client and went back to the office together.

Later that evening Peers called Guelle, He had bought himself another cell phone so he could use it to call Guelle, Guelle was shocked to receive the call, she first didn’t not want to take the call as she did not recognise the number. But she decided to take it. She was shocked to hear the voice of her mystery guy. She asked where did he get her numbers. The mystery guy lied as he already knew Guelle’s numbers and said he had asked her the previous night. But Guelle insisted that she does not recall giving him her numbers, Peers said yes you did when I had to call my driver and asked for your home address as he had to drive you ladies home. Guelle thanked Peers for what he did for them and how he was a gentleman that night. Guelle ended the conversation by saying, the mystery guy’s voice sounded familiar. Peers wanted to laugh but hold his laugh as he did not want to blew his cover.

Chapter 2

Christmas was around the corner and everyone was busy wrapping up at the office before they close for the holidays. This Christmas it was Peers turn to drive him and Guelle back home to their hometown. They had planned to spend Christmas with their parents. They passed through the gift shop to pick some of their gifts for their families, then started their 4-hour drive back to their hometown. Guelle’s parents and younger brother were waiting outside at the drive way to meet their daughter and as soon as they saw Peers, they were so happy as they wished that the two could just get married already. They also thought the two were dating as they were always together and done things together, and to put things into place the way Peers would look into Guelle’s eyes showed to everyone how much he cared and loved Guelle, only if Guelle could see that.

Guelle’s parents, George and Mayuri Gordon invited Peers inside, Peers could not decline as he cherished every minute or chance, he had to spent with the wonderful beautiful Guelle.  Guelle’s family was a wonderful family even though they were well off and retired before their retirement time, they challenged their children to make sure they work hard for themselves, Guelle’s younger brother was an engineer.

Peers left the Gordon’s house and headed home as he was also tired and needed to meet his own family and also rest. He drove a few blocks and was home. Like the Gordon family Peers family was waiting for him in the driveway his mom was already shouting and dancing to his first-born son. His sister was also with his parents on the drive way, and the first question from his younger sister Lucinda was, I thought you drove with Guelle, where is she? Before he could answer his dad asked the same question, they also thought the two were dating and could not wait for them to get married.
