The Call to Versaviz
Armand's ancient house stood majestically in the midst of the city of Versaviz, like a monument to the past in a present that had forgotten its splendor. The time-worn ochre bricks held the stories of past generations. Its tall and enigmatic windows seemed to silently observe the passage of time and the secrets left behind.
An unusual rumor had been circulating among the family members in the weeks leading up to the gathering. There had been whispers about the strange occurrences that had plagued the house for decades, whispered stories of inexplicable events that had puzzled even the most skeptical. Armand's house, like an ancient clock marking supernatural time, had been still for far too long, waiting for the return of its family.
That afternoon, the sun was slowly descending on the horizon, painting the sky in shades of gold and orange. Family members began to arrive one by one. Armand, with his silver hair and the wise gaze of an elder who had lived more than anyone could imagine, welcomed them with open arms. He wore his characteristic suit, a relic of the past that he cherished in a way only he understood.
Jarek, Armand's son, arrived with his family in tow. His wife, Anika, wore an expression of nervousness disguised as a smile as she held their little daughter. Jarek, a family man and a natural protector, couldn't help but notice the tension in the air.
