CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

My name is Terrance Demetrius Gibson Sr. I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior on April 1, 1995. I am an ordained minister, by the grace of God, with a great concentration on evangelism. I attended the Atlanta Christian Cursillo for men# 82, where I sat at the table of Paul. I continue to serve in that awesome ministry. I have labored in every role in the Church except senior pastor. I married my beautiful wife in 1998. I am the proud father of three boys and three girls. I am an Army veteran that served in Operation Iraqi-Freedom. I am a man. I am God’s man.

This is my first book with many more to follow. It is written and broken down on a fourth grade level. So, if you’re looking for fifteen letter words that belong in a doctoral thesis, you’re reading the wrong book. This book is designed so the lowest educated man can read, comprehend, understand, get saved, and run for Jesus. Most Christian literature is so far above the average man’s education level and we wonder why most men read magazines and picture books. Not this book. This book is for the projects and Beverly Hills. From the hole in the wall to the Hamptons. Make sure every man you know gets a copy of this book. It is not meant to be long but straight enough to the point to get men fired up to run for Jesus like never before.

God has laid it on my heart to write a guide book for the strengthening of men. Strengthening men for what you might ask? Strengthening men for the Revolution for their very own souls. This book is a guide book to get men from where they are to where they are supposed to be in Jesus. Unfortunately, we are not on the winning side when we total up the number of men living for God versus living for Satan. We have been losing this war since Adam deliberately disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden. God’s contract for the well-being of mankind is with men. It would be wise to think that we have increased our forces and grown stronger since the battle has been going on so long. You probably would have thought that we would be diligently studying the enemy’s battle strategies and learned how to defeat him in our next battle. Sadly to say, instead of getting wiser and stronger, we have been getting more gullible, discernible and weaker. Satan has been using the same old temptation tactics since day one, but we keep getting surprise attacked by him like he is using some new Jedi mind tricks. It’s the same stuff men!!!

Like a boxer in the ring, that uses the same old left hook and we keep on standing still getting hit by it. Time after time after time, we keep falling for the same old strategies. The worst part is that we treat them like they are new plans of action, but they are not. He keeps fooling us with the same moves. He keeps using the same up and under and we fall for it every time.

To put it in layman terms, he will use what we will abuse. If lust is our vice, he will use a beautiful, half naked woman to lure us. If we are addicted to alcohol and drugs, someone will always offer us a free hit. Let me know when I am getting warmer? If we have anger issues, he will always send someone to say or do something that will get us turned up. He knows our weaknesses and he exploits them every time he gets a chance. Okay, is it getting hot in here or is it just me?

1 Peter 5:8-9 proclaims, "8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."

He does whatever it takes to attempt to make us look weak in the eyesight of God. Never feel like you are in this fight alone, because the scripture tells us that his fight is against all men. His main mission is to make sure men either go to hell, or get saved and never live a productive life for Jesus Christ. Both of those instances bring glory to the bottom of his fiery throne. He keeps up the fight to discredit us, while knowing that his time is up and that he will have a losing end. He is already defeated!!!

Revelations 20:7-10 proclaims, "7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of Heaven, and devoured them.

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."

The Bible tells us about his end very plainly. But, if we don’t read the Bible we will never know that Satan is already defeated. Satan and his falling angels were cast out of Heaven. Now, he does what he can to stop men from entering into those same pearly gates he was cast out of. It shames me to say, that men are being defeated by an already defeated foe. It’s almost like, we go into the boxing ring and get knocked out by the guy on the floor that is already knocked out. How does that happen men? How did we get to the point that we lose a race to someone who has already lost? It’s like you lapped the person five miles back and when you get to the finish line, they’re standing there holding the trophy.

Revelations 12:7-12 proclaims, "7 And there was war in Heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in Heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye Heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time."

This may sound far-fetched, but this happens all the time. We keep getting deceived by the great deceiver that already knows his end is near. It’s even happening right now. Satan will use ploys to keep you from even reading further. He will do what he can to even stop me from finishing this book. Imagine that! He wants men to stay defeated so that they will never truly claim their crown as king and head of their families.

Men, we have fallen asleep on the job. We have fallen asleep at the wheel. We are AwOL from our designated duties. We don’t get days off and we have to stay equipped and ready to battle the enemy when he rears his ugly little head up. As a result of the absence of men, women are beginning to lead a world that God contracted us to rule over. We stay taking executive lunch breaks and we stay taken long leave periods. But just like they say, when the lion is away the snake will play. In order to sum this all up, it is safe to say, Satan is always busy and men are on vacation from their spiritual and natural responsibilities.

Matthew 24:43 proclaims, But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

John 10:10a proclaims, The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.

Satan is creating traps for the man and men are getting caught in them every day. He has changed our name from Superman to Absent-man, Foolish-man, and Lazy-man, to just name a few. Men just don’t stand for nothing these days, but we fall for anything. Even though it mostly evolves from bad parenting when we were being raised, we have to stand as men and break the cycle. We have to go to war. We have to start a Revolution.

We have to have an excellent relationship with God even if our parents had or didn’t have a relationship with Him. We have to be the best Godly husbands to our wives even if our fathers were or were not to our mothers. We have to be the best Godly Fathers to our children even if our fathers were or were not to us growing up. We have to be the best Godly friend to our friends even if our fathers were or were not to their friends. We have to be Godly figureheads in the Church even if our fathers were or were not in their Church. We have to be the Godliest boss to our employees even if our fathers were or were not to their employees. We have to be the Godliest employees to our bosses even if our fathers were or were not to their bosses. We have to be Godly sons to our parents even if our parents are or are not godly parents to us. Men, we have to break the cycle and overcome the generational curses Satan has planted in our lives. We all have to bow down before Christ and give an account for our deeds, good and bad.

Romans 14:11-12 proclaims, "11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God."

We have to go to war with Satan!!! We have to start a Revolution for our souls, our family’s souls and the souls of the people we come in contact with. We are the leaders of this world. God made His covenant with Man and gave us dominion over the earth. He blessed us with wives as help meets. He blessed us with children to train up to have their own relationships with God. God did His part and now it’s time for us to do our part men!!!
