What a Women Needs to Succeed in the Business World - Joni M. Spehar-Taylor
Introduction
Rise up, women of the world! You’re not meant to stay stuck in a job all your life. You can be your own boss, as long as you don’t limit yourself. If you think about it, the limitation is only in your mind and not in reality. The choice to stay where you are or to grow in your career is totally yours. If you decide to have a sense of purpose in your professional life and define your own success, there’s so much to unfold. It's time to shatter those glass ceilings and climb those corporate ladders with unyielding tenacity. The business world may have been designed to cater to men, but it's high time you prove that women are just as capable of thriving in this industry.
It doesn’t matter where you come from or how you’ve been made to feel so far; the right thing to focus on is what you’re capable of. Nobody is going to give you what you want on a silver platter. You have to stand up for yourself and get it. It’s easy to live enslaved to a certain thought pattern and not make any efforts to fight for what you deserve. Bad habits are like ruts in a road. If you keep going down the same path over and over again, eventually it becomes a deep groove that's hard to get out of. There are many women who despite being paid low salaries, and getting overlooked for promotions and bonuses, are in dead-end jobs. Have you thought about why? It’s the job
mentality that keeps them where they don’t want to be. Women, even when they’re superbly talented, qualified, and skilled, refrain from taking risks fearing it may not be worthwhile.
A regular job may make you feel comfortable and secure but it’s not going to make you feel satisfied. It may pay your bills and help you support your family, but it’s not going to challenge you and make you want to give your best. In order for you to unlock your optimum potential as a professional, you need to leave your familiar territory and give yourself a chance to prove your mettle. Remember, the stereotypes associated with women may continue to exist; however, you should not let them suppress your ambition. The world cannot determine who you are and who you can become. Take charge of your career!
If you’re in a job you don’t like, and clueless about how to find a way out and where to go, you’re not alone. Perhaps you’re a woman who has been in a position or career field for years. But you’re unhappy, unfulfilled, no longer challenged, overwhelmed, and overworked. You lack motivation and have high stress levels. However, you’re a very intelligent woman, and you stay and stick out.
Don’t wait any longer! Now is the time to ask yourself a few hard questions and make a decision. What is it that’s stopping you from stepping out of your comfort zone? If it’s fear of not succeeding as a businesswoman, you may have to change your mindset. There’s a difference between a job and a career. It’s time to create your own journey and craft your own destiny. You may have to take time to recognize your weaknesses and start working toward eradicating them. You may have to replace some of the habits that aren’t helping you with the ones that may lead you to success.
If you’re wondering how to start and how to go about overcoming these inherent roadblocks, this book is written for you. It will help you find a way out of the same old job and move on to a career. You’ll be learning how to develop leadership qualities and skills, and become a great leader. It will also enlighten you on what you need to do after you reach the pinnacle of success and how to sustain it.
More importantly, you’ll discover ways to foster a positive way of thinking and build good habits. Each individual, whether male or female, has a distinctive approach toward life, which is perfectly okay. You don’t have to be like somebody else or try to emulate their success strategy. You have the freedom to be your own person and have your own challenges. It’s okay to fall many times and rise up again as long as you want to make a difference. The bottom line is to think big and be a dreamer.
While this book isn’t a guarantee that you will succeed in life, it’s a significant jump-start to learn how to get out of the deep ruts, quit doing the same thing over and over again, and strive to live your best life.
Are you ready to bypass the insanity, move up the corporate ladder or maybe become your own boss? Keep reading.

Women in Today’s Business World
We need to reshape our own perception of how we view ourselves. We have to step up as women and take the lead.
–Beyoncé
In the modern era, women are an indispensable part of the business world. They have emerged as strong contenders and are breaking the shackles of gender biases that held them back. It's safe to say that women in today's business world have revolutionized the way the corporate industry functions. The fact that a woman operates from both her mind and heart adds a new dimension to the world of business. Wouldn’t you agree?
Gone are the days when women were limited to being homemakers, wives, and mothers. Today, they aren’t just there to support their husbands and provide for the needs of their families; they’re on par with men in the society in terms of making an impact in the world. Women are crunching numbers and how!
Just to illustrate, women have exceeded expectations and ensured they have stellar achievements to their credit in all kinds of realms. Sheryl Sandberg, for example, changed the face of Facebook,
