This was one of the bad ones.

The Bluesman Fuller and I had been traveling up and down the Eastern United States for months when we found ourselves back in the state where we first met — North Carolina. It was there that I had stumbled into a bar and nearly got myself killed by a vile monster. It was there that Fuller came to my rescue, using his music to conjure magic and save my life. And it was there that my saved life led to a calling of sorts, in which I agreed to help Fuller rid the world of all the monsters that had slipped through a portal from a parallel universe — the same universe Fuller himself came from.
