    WELCOME TO Spiritual Selling 2.0!

    Spiritual Selling 2.0 introduces new concepts and principles to the world of sales and business. It includes new content plus an updated version of my book Spiritual Selling , which was published in September 2007. Many people said the book was ahead of its time back then. Some people loved the concept, others were confused, some were a bit scared, and the old-school hardcore sales dudes dismissed the idea as weird, new-age nonsense.

    I received a message from my original publisher giving the rights of the book back to me. This got me thinking; maybe it was time to release an updated version of this book for the new world of business.

    The energy of the world has shifted dramatically since 2007. People are seeking more fulfilling ways to live and work. We are moving to a higher level of consciousness and the old rules of business and sales no longer apply. This is a process we have been experiencing for some time now. There is a lot of shifting and changing taking place in the world. This is happening to us as individuals and on a global scale.

    Now is the time to embrace a new way to live and work as we move from a me consciousness to a we consciousness. Some are ready to elevate while others will remain in their old energy and beliefs. There is no need for judgment. We all have free will here on Earth, and each person has the right to make their own choices. Follow your instinct and trust that the universe will guide you for your highest and greatest good.

    I have spent over thirty years in sales and marketing. Most of my work has taken place on the mean streets of New York City. I have sold everything from women’s shoes and satellite dishes to print advertising space and cable spots. After working in retail, service, and wholesale for large corporations and small businesses, I realized the sales game is pretty much the same. I wrote this book to help all my friends who are out there fighting the good fight every day.

    When I first entered the world of sales, I was introduced to new definitions and concepts. The first terms I learned to describe salespeople were hunters and farmers. A hunter is a person who aggressively attacks the market in search of new business. The farmer is a relationship builder who uses a softer approach.

    In my years of experience, I have encountered many different types of salespeople. Most have fallen into three main categories:

    Motivated by money. There are certain individuals who do not care about what they sell. They are motivated by money and money alone. Although I have encountered some very successful people in this category, I do not suggest it as a course of action. These people were heartless mercenaries who would run you over in the parking lot to beat you to a potential sale. If this is the strategy to which you subscribe, this is not the book for you.

    Must love what you sell. These people must have a deep emotional connection and love for what they sell. It is not about money, although these are the most successful of all salespeople, but more about how they can help make the world a better place. If you like this concept, this is the book for you.

    Why am I here? Some folks don’t seem to know how or why they landed in sales. It may have seemed like a good way to make money, or maybe they weren’t qualified for anything else. In some cases, it was a last resort. If you are confused, this book will help you gain some clarity and possibly put you on the right path.

    I have added a new category, the attractor, to the list. Attractors focus their energy on drawing the right people to them. This book will show you how to stop chasing new business and start attracting it like never before.

    Most organizations train salespeople to attack like predators. A lion is one of the most feared predators in the animal kingdom. Every day the lion goes out and stalks prey, hiding in the trees and bushes. Antelopes are the favorite prey for a lion. When a herd of unsuspecting antelopes strolls by, the lion waits for just the right moment. Then it jumps out and attacks. The lion chases antelopes until it catches and kills what is needed to eat for the day. The next day the lion gets up and starts the process all over again.

    Sound familiar?

    Many potential customers run from salespeople the same way antelopes run from lions. Do you feel like you are always chasing prospects, trying to get new business? Are you the predator chasing your prey just to stay alive . . . to hunt for another day? Do you feel exhausted by this process?

    Now imagine you are trying to catch bees. You could buy a net and run around trying to catch one bee at a time. Or you could put some honey out to attract bees in large numbers. The honey would allow you to attract hundreds of bees at a time. Would you rather be the chaser (predator) or the attractor?

    The honey, in this analogy, is your ability to vibrate the energy necessary to attract the perfect client. You will become the provider of choice in your category of business because of the feelings you are sending to the universe. As you will see, your success has a lot more to do with how you feel and a lot less to do with your actions.

    When your true purpose is to help others, you change the way you are perceived and you elevate your energy vibration. Your customer can sense if you are focused exclusively on money and numbers. Focus on helping people and watch your magnetism expand.

    I learned early in my sales career that I wanted to be the attractor. I saw too many salespeople burn out constantly chasing business. They looked as though they had been through a war, fighting to keep their numbers up. Many were tired, irritable, and in a state of constant distress.

    Rightly, selling is the most fun you will ever have in the business world. There is nothing more exciting than closing your first big deal. The entire process should be fun and exhilarating, not a torturous grind that might eat you alive. Using the Attractor Sales System™ will restore the fun and excitement to your business or career in sales. You will begin to think, feel, and act differently.

    All I ask is that you remain open to these new ideas about selling.

    WHAT IF EVERYTHING YOU LEARNED ABOUT SALES IS WRONG?

    Looking at society, it becomes abundantly clear that something has gone wrong—very wrong.

    Why do bad things seem to happen to good people?

    Why do nice guys finish last?

    Why are some not-so-nice guys doing very well?

    As of this writing an alarming 76% of all wealth in the U.S. is being controlled by only 10% of households, 50% of households own just 1% of all wealth. Personal debt is expanding faster than most people’s waistlines and there is no end in sight. These circumstances are the result of manipulation and the desire to control the population.

    In a fair world, everyone who deserved a break would surely get one. In our current world, the rich get richer, and the poor keep on paying taxes. Successful salespeople seem to receive all the best leads, the best deals, and the best accounts. And, of course, we all know they make the most money. Why is it so easy for them and so difficult for most people?

    Believe it or not, there are clear answers to all of these questions, and I do my best to resolve them in this book. The answers I present may contradict many of the things you have learned and believe. All I ask is that you keep an open mind to the possibilities that I present in the pages that follow.

    My goal is simply this: to change your belief system and open your mind to a world you may not know exists. To enter this world you must be willing to accept certain new truths that may seem a bit out there. Your openness will allow you to see things that you could not see in your old belief system.

    When I first learned the principles I am going to share with you, I was in shock. This new philosophy was actually much simpler than the one I had previously learned. When things seem to be too easy, we have a tendency to think, This can’t be true. We have been conditioned to believe that most accomplishments are achieved with pain and suffering.

    I do not mean to suggest that great achievements are attained without effort and dedication. Many successful people apply an incredible amount of energy to their work. What makes them successful is that they are working with flowing energy, not forced energy. When you are working with flowing energy, you can work twice as hard and never feel fatigued. This is why successful people all seem so energetic.

    Successful people are locked in and congruent with their purpose. They do not wake up in the morning dreading the day. These people are not pushing a boulder up a mountain, hoping they won’t slip and be crushed. This group is cruising along, picking up momentum at every turn. Their boulder is rolling downhill.

    These people are living in a different energy. They get it! Most of the population spend their lives grinding it out.

    The bottom line is most people are just a few slight adjustments away from creating a better life. When I learned these new principles, I could not believe how close I was to this major breakthrough. You will discover how a little fine-tuning in your belief system and energy level will be the catalyst to creating incredible changes in your business and personal life.

    Most organizations are shortsighted and want sales now. They are oriented to predators who must continually make sales to survive.
